    lol I love the beginning of this video~I am so jealous that you have a washer in your RV. This is something we are trying to decide if we need it when we upgrade our RV. We are selling the sticks and bricks to travel and see all the states. Do you think the washer and dryer would be good enough for 2 people loads or would I be doing laundry all the time?

      well..... it depends. I think it would be fine. It doesn't hold as much as our home washer, and since this unit is a 120v unit, it doesn't get as hot or dry as fast, but it is GREAT to have to stay in front of a mountain of clothes. We have 5 (my wife and me, and 3 kids) so we can generate a lot of dirty clothes. Of course, adding big beach towels to the mix does slow everything down. The other thing to remember is that it is a washer AND dryer, so it is a lot slower than at home too since it has to go through the wash and dry cycle before it is done.
      If it is just two people, you would be happy to have it. It also would save on time sitting at a laundromat.
      Another modification I did was rewire the outlet. I have it wired to an external power cord that I connect directly to the power plug, so the power that the washer is using doesn't go through my rig, as to not go over the allowed amps in the system, so we can run both air conditioners while we do wash.

    Hi, I have an advice for you based on my own experience: always switch the machine off after you’ve doing your laundry. Always set the dial for your desired cycle first and then push the button to switch it on.

    • @Brian-oc8fj
      @Brian-oc8fj Před 3 lety +2

      Correct. Make sure the power button is Off BEFORE setting for a new load. The KEY on settings is set the dials Right to Left when looking at the machine! Choose desired Wash Cycle, then Dry time, then the Wash/Rinse temperature, then Heat level, then Spin Speed, THEN finally push the power button on to start the cycle. When it is all done, then press power button again to turn it off, then open door and remove clothes... Net, select settings Right to Left each time and you will have no issues...

    Does your machine turn in omly one direction or back in forth while it is drying? I am suspecting we are not truly into dry mode yet.

    I'm not sure why my washer looks different it shows Splendide 2000 S I bought used and love it but I can't find the filter.

    • @RVPastorKevin
      @RVPastorKevin  Před 2 lety

      bottom right.
      It is a wet filter, so the lint will be wet. make sure you have towels to catch the water when you open it.

      @@RVPastorKevin I did a deep search on my model and it says my model does not have a filter .
      Sounds strange but I searched front to back .
      I am not in a R.V but a tiny home the draw back is the time it takes but I purchased it for 75 dollars and It has been a God send.

    What happens when you do all of that and nothing happens. We just bought a used rv and trying to figure out what to do. I followed it just the way you did it

    • @RVPastorKevin
      @RVPastorKevin  Před 4 lety

      Ok.... couple of things to start.
      1) it runs off 120v power (shore power) so make sure your RV is plugged into land based power, or if you have a class A or B rig, make sure the generator is running. Get an outlet tester and make sure power is at the outlet that the washer is plugged in to.
      If no power at outlet, check for a tripped breaker. If you have a class a like mine, there is a switch in the kitchen that sends power EITHER to the microwave OR the washer. If that switch is in the wrong place, my microwave will work but my washer won’t.
      2) make sure the water is on.
      3) make sure the on/off button is IN for the unit to be on.
      4) dryer time to zero or off
      5) washer knob turned just a hair past off toward the hot/cold cycle.
      I suspect it is a power issue.....

      @@RVPastorKevin Thank you. I can get the dryer to work, but nothing happens when I try the washer part. We are in a class A and plugged into the land based power.

      Here is tip number six. Found out by accident. Make sure you are either connected to a drain or that you're gray water holding tank is big enough and not too full to accommodate all the water that it's going to use. Found mine backing up into the bathtub.
