I am glad we have a place in Society for sensitive artists like this, they help us see the intangible.
Great comment
I could listen to Edmund all day...
Wonderful, empathic, considered dialogue! Thank you for bringing artists like Edmund de Waal into the Residential Interior Design conversation.
I understand what he said and i know what he has not said and i find it deeply moving
Such a great artist and how his vision of his work is so meaningful and deep with his gentle voice and the way he interprets the beauty of simplicity fragile and unperfect life ,I felt like In a psychologist session.
He is a philosopher first. Love his ability to explain his art.
“Monastic simplicity.” Very true. What a lovely man, and an even lovelier dog. The space and it’s design is beautiful and one with his art, but I’m afraid my eyes need a bit more color.
I really don’t know how someone finds words to describe what they mean, what they’re trying to say with an art like this. It was beautiful to hear this expression of art.
One of the most unique and sensitive artists in his field. I trained as a Ceramicist and although I've not had a studio for many years, I so appreciate you featuring him on this channel. He's wonderful to listen to, so inspiring, and his work truly unique.
How beautiful this is, the thoughts the work the studio…
Also the connection to food (mind & body) by disease I can’t eat. My passion is food (also soul wise) and ceramics. This is pure beauty. Thank you so much.
Edmund the universe was showing off when you were made.
Your work is pure perfection.
Australia.
I am glad we are a society that can afford to sustain people who exclusively contribute in the form of ideas and the abstract, but at the same time I am not sure how people like this man make a living.
@@TheGalactica2001 The book he wrote about the Nazis stealing his family's massive wealth, The Hare With Amber Eyes, is one of the best books I have ever read. It likely will reach far more people than his ceramics.
I think he's doing well. watched him once selling some of his ceramics to a member of the Rothschild family. His work is sold for a really good money(it's artwork not ordinary products).
this video gave me peace 🍃
Love and peace from Paris/Marseille 🍀🌻
What a joyously passionate man.
I enjoyed that so much. This visit to a gentle, quiet, thoughtful, beautiful world . . .
What a wonderful furry companion he has!
I found the Camondo family very mysterious , Camondo stairs in Istanbul, standing there dreaming !!
I tried to find more information about Camondo family but most of the books are in French.i wish they could open Camondo museum in Istanbul too. Very interesting family, living in italy, Austria, Istanbul and Paris
Having thoroughly enjoyed The Hare With The Amber Eyes last week I loved finding this video of de wall
Loved his book the hare with the amber eyes

Postmodern. Reminds me of Los Angeles in the 90s.
girl IKEA had a meltdown
"Small, powerful..."
A shame the sound on this is too low.
