- When it came to the decoration of their former country house, Mr Porter's Jeremy Langmead and his husband Simon Rayner called on interior designer Susan Deliss. Her expert use of textiles and tones has made a charming Georgian country house into a jewel box of colour and pattern, with an astounding array of wallpapers on display.

Yes, apparently the powers that be have already named this trend as "cottagecore" or some-such. Pity the name, but a welcome trend.
well, I think the problem is that if you want to have this kind of interior you also need a old, historic home in countryside. If you live in a modern apartment in city you need to have a modern, more minimalist decor. All these wallpapers would look bad in a modern space with large windows etc in a middle of a city.

I think it has multiple reasons, and one of them is the rise of ppl who suffers from ADHD. With ADD/ADHD you don’t want million little thing to draw your attention away, your head inside is already busy place, the city is busy too, so at least let’s make the home envirionment as simple as possible. :) (I am not saying it is right or wrong, just wanted to give an example.)

I love this house and the charming hosts...but yet to see a person of colour in a single one of these beautiful vids. My bad there was a rich Arab who also worked at Christie's. On a positive note every room in this house I loved more than the last if that's possible! Stunning.

Having a garden that morphs into woodland is the ultimate dream. I can just imagine a running creek with some of those deer from the wallpaper. Very much a secret garden.
Stunning, the use of patterns and color is perfection. I love that you can see so much up close but standing back it blends and creates serenity, as opposed to overwhelming mishmash. A slice of heaven, what a dream
What a delightful house, with such a cornucopia of pattern and detail that works so well together. I love several of the rooms featured, but for me, the sitting room with its fabric walls and the pastel blue hallway are rather special. Creating rooms that look as though they have evolved over time gives me a warm glow. Also, love the comment about the start of the painting and drawing collection … I had no money and got this picture from Christie’s. I can well understand how both feel the cares of the world fall away when at this home.

Lucky you to live in England and to be able to decorate the way you have. The trend here in Australia, because our homes are more modern, is to avoid wallpaper and luxurious window coverings.
