Mikal Bridges was traded to the Knicks, OG re-signed, Paul George apparently wants to stay on the west coast, Butler doesn’t want to make a decision until next year, so Sixers fans are nervous that Morey might try to delay making big changes until another opportunity presents itself later in the year. Eric brings up that most players will be vet minimums. But with the new CBA all teams are looking at the same thing anymore. ANd he's right - it's 6 to 8 players that will get you anywhere in the playoffs to 9 thru 15 all ver minimums is no big deal.
Paul George would be repeating the Harden mistake. Trade for the best players available - Markkanen and Ingram. Both fit in the salary cap for 2025 and really have a swing. You realistically have a two year window and need to blow it up anyway. Maxey, Hield, Ingram, Markkanen and Embiid with Oubre, Melton, Payne and Reed on the bench can compete with bucks, NY and Celtics
I didn't want George but now that the Sixers got him I am happy because there was nobody else realistically to get & they can still try to trade for Markkannen if Morey really wants to go all in for next year
- but I don't think they will get Markkannen but need a starting PF so maybe trade for DFS
- trade Paul Reed & a 1st round pick for DFS
- is Oubre the starting SG or is he the 6th man?
- if Oubre is the 6th man then sign Trent or Beasley to be the starting SG
- Jalen Smith signed with the bulls & Batum is not resigning so let's go get our boy Dario Saric back to be the backup PF

i just dont think we would have enough picks to get him from Jazz. Knowing Jazz they will troll Morey and be like oh you're just one pick off of what we want sorry bud.
Getting Paul George would be a stupid move by the star hunter. If they do get Paul, the sixers will be out of the first or second round of the play-offs again. I hope he goes to golden state or Orlando. The player I want them to get is Miles Bridges. The sixers can trade for Kyle Kuzma and see if the sixers can get Kispert in a package with Kuzma.
It's time for Daryl Marley to get to work, earn his money.

@@BleavIn76ers If I was the GM for the sixers, I would make moves for now and later for Maxey. The window is almost closed for Joel unless the sixers luck up in the next few years, and he is at 80 percent for a playoff run. The players I would get will be 25 to 30 tops. I like Miles Bridges because he is a better rebounder then all the forwards, and he will not cost over 50 million a year. The sixers need to be younger and deeper for a playoff run. We already know Nick Nurse dogs out his starters, and you all want to make a playoff run with 3 players that's over 35 years old.
The sixers can get Miles and trade for Kyle Kuzma and have money left over to get more players.

The Sixers have to do something monumental this off-season. Embiid is still injury prone and will be another year older. If they cant get Lauri and they lose in the first or second round again, they are facing the reality of either watching Embiid ask for a trade or trade Embiid anyway because you need to rebuild your team around Maxey. Its crucial Morey gets this thing right.

Lets face it, Morey is in a situation that he himself doesn't even know what to do. But every time you hear him talk he acts like he knows exactly what his plan is. That is why we overall are kinda doomed when it comes to actually being competition to the knicks or the celtics since that has to be our main goal
Snow has to do more to carry this podcast. Be more excited and the star as a former NBA player.

Morey is so overrated... why are they chasing PG... He's not a winner and seems like he don't care to be .. PG is a expensive name at this point in his career that's trying to cash in one last time.. Plus this Sixers roster is just gonna be top heavy like in the past.. fill the roster out with good quality roll players and they can probably win without throwing most of the cap money at a aging allstar like Paul George.. It's just stupid thinking on part of this Organization.. IMO

I think playing into the playoffs would mean something to him. I'd rather take that chance with him than cap strapping yourself to a 34 yr. old PG with 200+ million

If you go to the grocery store to buy a product and that product isn’t available, you don’t just buy another product for the sake of buying another product. sometimes the market is what it is rather than overpaying for a product that you don’t want sometimes you do have to be patient
