“The Philadelphia 76ers' interest in pursuing Paul George has significantly waned in recent days, and the franchise is expected to be aggressive elsewhere with its salary cap flexibility and draft capital leading into next week’s NBA Draft”
According to Shams the Sixers lack of interest in pursuing Paul George in recent days comes from the team’s desire to “be aggressive” in the marketplace heading into the draft - instead of waiting for George to hit free agency.
“The signal that they’re giving teams around the league is they are open for business … they feel like over the next week or so, they can be aggressive and if there’s an option that presents itself, they can move on and not have to wait on Paul George in free agency.”

I wouldn’t discount the Sixers’ interest in Paul George until his status is finalized with Los Angeles or elsewhere. George has been atop Philadelphia’s wish list for some time - should the Sixers get the chance to talk with George on June 30.

Sixers would’ve been much better off continuing the process and building with youth while Embiid was young. Instead, the league forced Colangelo on us & traded off our assets mostly for mediocre veterans. Now,we’re in a position where it’s all blamed on Embiid even though everyone admits that the organization has done a terrible job surrounding him.
People forget we didn’t get to finish the process the league basically stepped in and killed it because of all the hate we were getting from the other owners. So they hired hitman coangelo to toss out all our capital and cap space for old ass questionable players

Paul George is too old..we need to go younger. That's why James Harden isn't here. Let's take the Nuggets and Celtics blueprint. Build around Embiid & Maxey, sign to two really good role players and build the bench with quality players. We don't need the home run move..look at the disaster that's going on in Phoenix, with only having three stars and no bench or player depth. We still have to account that Embiid is going to miss games. Paul George became injury prone in the last couple of seasons. Go younger, see if we can get a Brandon Ingram in bargain trade, sign Miles Bridges that had passed off the court issues, but it looks like it's all behind him. He should be bargain, he average 20pts & 7reb a game sf/pf. Sign Drummond who is a double double machine who compliments Embiid very well. Sign Kelly oubre and bring back other key reserves.

It’s a whole extra year he can sign a 4 year 212 million dollar deal with the sixers as opposed to 3 for 153 for the clippers that’s a 59 million dollar difference
