Taylor Russell deserves more praise. Ever since Waves I've loved her. Such a great actress!!
Omg I thought she was a new up and coming actress so I looked her up and she is 28! I thought she was like 18 or something , I would’ve thought she was younger but they don’t usually have minors in movie roles like this I don’t think ..
Looking forward to her evolution.
Yeaah she is also amazing😊 in Lost in Space
Agreed! I hope this will be her breakout role
Her acting here was horrible. Very amateurish. Also to blame on the poor writing
I love that in the span of six days we got two new trailers for this. One very much playing up the dark romance aspect of the story, and now this one surely playing up the more horrific elements to it. Between this and Spielberg's The Fabelmans, Thanksgiving is gonna be a good time to go to the movies...
was thinking the same
@@nsfx2739 a
People still go to the movies? Even after Hollywood has publicly denounced its customers?
it might be a secret masterpiece/hit lol
Lotsa matzoh balls.
The movie plot took a left turn so quickly from the beginning and I love it. I was about to roll my eyes at another coming of age teen movie.
It is but with cannibals
@@cowsgomooo I think it being a thriller about vaguely magical cannibals makes it very different from “another coming of age movie”
Yeah, I will probably watch it eventually… once it’s for free… but coming of age movies really grinds my gears as I don’t understand the appeal 😅
@@gabbief789 They tend to get more interesting as you get older. I think when you're younger they can seem redundant, unless you find one that's describing your exact experience.
@@HeyListenRadio that’s probably true for some people! But even as a young teen to now young adult, 23, I still don’t get it 😅
I’m so in love with the way they changed the story making it have a deeper meaning but still staying true to the book in many ways it’s very beautiful to see I’m very excited
Why do they eat people? Spoil it for me idc
@@joogullae3456 lol 😂 so I haven’t seen the movie but I have read the book and the reason they eat people is because they were born that way. It’s like this impulse this desire to eat people. They don’t know why they have these urges, but they know they need to act on them in order to survive if that makes any sense 😅
@@keyanap00p40 ooo i see. So they're cannibals but they don't know why or do they literally get sick and die if they dont eat human meat?
@@keyanap00p40 so kinda like vampire
@@stelluridk3439 not really it’s very different from that type of horror and a lot bloodier 😂you’ll understand what I mean soon
I didn't think any major studio would ever be smart enough to use older, classic cameras...CONGRATULATIONS, MGM! YOU'VE DONE IT 👏👏👏👏👏👏
What do you mean by "older, classic"?
How is it different now?
Dud they use older classic cameras in House of the Devil and The Place Beyond The Pines?
A quiet place….
It happens pretty often actually
Ew
It's not the studio, it's the filmmaker. Even though they're never shown on film, Luca Guadagnino has always been a big proponent of shooting films on film and giving them the appearance of the period of time they take place in, hence why this and "Call Me by Your Name" have that overly 80s look in their frames and why "Suspiria" looks like the 1970s horror equivalent of a Rainer Werner Fassbinder film.
i love how the cinematography reminds me of an early 2000s, late 90s film (in a good way)
This feels like it's worth seeing. It might be morbid but everyone involved makes it work.
Might be morbid?😂
Leave it to the DemoRats !
Why do people like watching cannibalism, please help me understand
@@CelticsDude22 it’s just a movie mate
@@CelticsDude22I don’t think anyone who liked the movie liked it because of the cannibalism, the movie was just shot and told so beautifully
cannibalism is one of those big nopes for me. makes me so sick to see that even though it’s fake, maybe when i’m less squeamish i’ll watch this.
I feel the same and dont blame you. I saw that movie Fresh and now it's just another thing I'm irrationally afraid of!😅
Remember, it’s all programming
If you're having second thoughts I wouldn't recommend seeing it. I think a lot of people will think they can take it and will regret it.
Plan on something changing in your life to make you “less squeamish”?
Don’t worry it’s a movie for crazy people.
This film is pure art! I was drawn to it via Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' music....then I read the book in 3 days...saw the film yesterday. It is a story that sticks with you. A brilliant piece of cinema in an age of throwaway "movie" spectacle.
eating people is Art. good one
@@TheLinuxYes It's not real life. It's a film. :)))
This film is a vacant hollow shell of a film dressed up as arthouse prestige.
This movie was truly a masterpiece. It had a mix of thriller events, realistic teenager first love and a very chilling horror aspect to it. The kind of horror that plays with your minds. Also, The contrast between the fantasy and the reality in every scene was epic. Especially at the end, when the three of them were heavily breathing on the floor fighting for their lives, meanwhile it was completely silent outside. The way it showed chaos in a such a small room versus the dead silence outside was brilliantly done. What impressed me the most is, The camera shots and angles l, it had a realistic feeling to them, making you feel like you're not watching the movie but IN THE MOVIE. I have to say that I didn't like the very ending, it felt too extreme. I understand that it symbolizes someone loving someone to the bones and all, but I'd have preferred that they let them have their happy ending.
You might prefer the happy ending aspect but newsflash life doesn’t always work out that way and my thing is this without whole happy endings thing if you want a fancy movie then go watch a family movie Wednesday for people that always wants just a happy ending and we only wrong I’m cool with getting happy ending movies but the same time I don’t want all movies we have anything because you know sometimes it doesn’t happen that way sometimes you know we need a realistic ending I don’t know if I wanna see always a happy ending movie then I’m gonna go to see a fantasy movie because that’s a fantasy world I feel like some people live in Namaste that be mean but you need to realize happy endings always have it like that
I skipped the ending it was too much 😂 I was like okay I know what’s going to happen but I don’t need to watch it lol
The ending in the actual book was more sad and violent. *SPOILER* in the book at the end he gets intimate for the first time with her and that's how she ends up eating him XD. This version is way more on the romantic end than the novel- where she just gives in to her more predator eater instincts.
No spoilers
Nah it’s just a splatter movie
this movie is going to be so dark yet the colors are going to make it seem so relaxing and romantic. timothee and taylor are such a good duo, cannot wait to see this and read the book 🤍
@Bla bla bla those are still colors. Plus relaxed muted tones are more romantic shades.
The Vortex - Programming Your Kids by Church Militant.
The book is not at all violent/graphic. Every time she eats someone the author pulls away and makes only vague references to the act. Its a YA novel. I wonder how the author feels about this clearly violent version of an oddly (considering the subject matter) un-violent book.
I was wondering who he was the entire time. I can't believe I didn't recognize him.
Let me know how that turns out for you. I think a lot of people will regret seeing it.
This is the only movie that truly makes me feel understood and validated. Before you ask, no I am not a cannibal!
First of all, if you're someone who is incapable of looking for deeper meanings in film and just watch at surface level, in general Luca stuff is not for you.
Anyways, as someone who grew up with an abusive alcoholic mother (6yrs sober), the acting of Timothée and Taylor is such an incredibly familiar look to me. Luca has stated he wanted them to have animalistic qualities when eating, and they so accurately portrayed the stranger addiction can turn you into.
It also portrays an addict's feelings so well. It took me years to understand my mom but learning to have empathy changed the way I approached life. Learning to look from a different perspective and not judge helped. This film shows those exact feelings an addict has.
It also succeeds in showing how it can hurt the people around you, even unintentionally and how people tend to hang on until they can literally not take it anymore... Or alternatively never even know until suddenly that trauma is dumped on them.
For a younger person who is still trying to figure out myself, is neurodivergent and feels very isolated. This movie also shines light on the lonliness one can feel-on the high of finally finding out you're not the only one and there's others like you.
It also shows the effect of a parental figure. It shows the trauma they can leave behind. It communicates the problems with completely fixing everything for your child and not raising them to take responsibility for their actions. Timothée's portrayal of the body's response to trauma towards the end is so so accurate, such brilliant acting in that scene.
Mental health is also implied throughout the whole movie. How it's linked to every single thing. (especially at the end of the movie there's a certain theory directly relating to it).
Lastly, is obviously about learning to navigate young love and the pros and cons that can come with it.
Anyways I could go into so so much detail but I'm not going to bore you (I probably already have).
Every time I watch this movie it just keeps getting better and I notice new things.
This movie was absolutely beautifully made. From beginning to end. This is a must see!
Oh this movie will definitely ruffle a lot of feathers when it's released.
Yup and i look forward to it. I enjoyed the novel. Dark but a page turner
And that’s a good thing… I’m so beyond excited to see this!!!🔥🔥🔥

The Trent reznor and Atticus ross score in this… and the song that plays in the ending scene…… oh it was so chilling and beautiful at the same time def my fave movie of the year
I was so surprised by this film, I awaited allegories and metaphors, but I did not expect them to be so deep and smooth.
It was an amazing piece of art, about causing the pain to others and to yourself. And how it's sometimes impossible to control it.
One of the main reasons why I loved this film, it was that it reminded me of Let The Right One In, the masterpiece of vampire movies. Bones And All is the masterpiece of cannibal movies.
This looks gruesome and intense and so well made. I think it would be fantastic as a double feature with Only Lovers Left Alive.

Excellent idea!!!
maybe a triple feature with Only Lovers Left Alive and the Devil All The Time, even.

YESSSSSSSSSS!
THE JOY DIVISION SONG OMG THIS MOVIE WAS MADE FOR ME
I’m excited cause I got to see just the sheer amount of work goes into these films because part of it was filmed in my town for a couple weeks. Got to drive right down the middle of it all one day while they were still setting up for a night shoot and hadn’t shut down the street for the day yet.
My son was an extra. Super excited!
I know some of it was filmed in ross ohio because I seen they were at strickers grove and then part of it was in Middletown
Wasn't expecting Joy Division on the trailer, so good!
Yeah that makes me want to see the film!
Taylor is such an underrated actor. I hope that this will make her more famous!
I love Taylor Russell, ever since I watched her in Words on Bathroom Walls! She’s phenomenal
I love Timothée Chalamet but I don’t know if I could this.
Same. I'll wait for him in the Willy Wonka remake. That's more my speed! lol
Oh wow...these trailers are really good. And their music choices really go hard! I'm really excited for this movie after reading the novel.
Mark Rylance was perfect in this, one of the scariest and most ominous characters I’ve seen in a movie in a long time
Can you tell me when this movie will be shown??
I don’t recall being so disturbed by a trailer before. Wow

Suspiria was FANTASTIC. So intense I loved it.
Since the book is so quiet and meandering (in a good way) it’s interesting that a lot had to be changed to make it engaging to watched. Can’t wait!

No lo había pensado, pero uno de los actores principales de la última película de Luca Guadagnino está en juicio por ser caníbal, y su siguiente película es sobre caníbales, no creo que lo haya planificado, pero es una coincidencia muy loca.
Now this trailer is talking to me. I wanted to read the book first, but holy moly, this looks... Delicious!

Saw the first trailer and thought "oh, he's a murderer and she's in love with him dark on the run romance" was not expecting them cannibals all the way through the line up
Honestly, I think Armie Hammer would have been a much better for for this role. They cast the wrong Call me by your name co-star
plot-wise it's a little derivative (Let the Right One In, Doctor Sleep, etc) but it definitely has that unique Lucas Guadagnino aesthetic
At first I hated it, but after I saw how it ended and what the story was about so much of it clicked into place for me. Good movie.
Anyone find this extremely awkward that Timothée Chalamet was in a movie with Armie Hammer..WHO NOTORIOUSLY WANTS TO EAT PEOPLE AND HAS A CANNIBAL FETISH (hence why he is not in movies any more)…and now Timothée shows up in a movie where he plays the hot mysterious guy who is also a cannibal. Just really weird coincidence is all I’m saying.
I guarantee Armie Hammer will be first in line to see this film…and treat it like erotica. I joke but man is that f’d up! So messed up!
oof yeah...I felt that
Don’t know nothing about these people nor this movie. I happened to come across it. But I can say this, be careful who you surround yourself with. There spirits can rub off on you. It honestly doesn’t surprise me though. People are crazy. I don’t mean the typical “drunkard who says the end of the world”.
