60w laser tube for engraving
130w laser tube for cutting
60w has thinner laser beam so it has better engraving effect.
130w has higher power so it can cut thicker and faster.

hi there i have a 60w laser i am trying to put a photo onto acrylic having a few problems with it i can't get the image to engrave right what would the power setting and speed need to be and the distance need to be from the laser to the acrylic thanks

With 130 finishing is not good ..i have universal laser (USA 45 watt . Metal tube) 10x faster than this machine and engraving quality is superb

I want to produce some rulers, and I am facing the problem of centering: if I cut then print or I print then cut, there will be always a drift (few millimeters) between the actual and the required locations of the print over the plexi.

Can you insert a large piece of wood from the side of the machine. The wood is too big to fit by just opening the machine door. Can you open the SIDE doors to enable bigger items to be laser cut?

I have had nice results with lighting engraved acrylic. I have not tried with a laser, but with a router to engrave. Need to make a groove for the LED strip. Just experiment a bit. The results are really cool.

+Malcolm Daly Yes, but the 130w engraves not so good as 60w. especially in photo engraving. beause the 130w has thicker laser beam. just like use a big pen to draw, there'll be less details than using a smaller pen.

wouldn't it be great if there was a portable cnc lazer that could mounted anywhere, anytime. so u could engrave windows on houses (already installed windows) car windows stuff like that. if such a thing exists, please link me up scotty :D
in fact there's small sized fiber laser marking machines which is similar as a desktop lamp. work size 100x100mm around, it can do the job, too.
You can use stencils and sand blasting for that. You can get mini sand blasters.

I am looking for a tabletop laser for glass engraving as well as other uses. Main use at this time will be glass tumblers, beer glasses and mugs, etc. Will a 40w do it? I was seriously looking at the Glowforge, but I can't seem to get anyone to contact me. Looking at these lasers now. I think this would be a nice edition to our graphics design business...

this kind of laser can engrave on glass like beer bottls, etc but the surface may need polish. Or the rough surface may hurt your hands. 40w may do the work, but 60w is better. check drive.google.com/file/d/0B02kv_IyF4YULUdjVUJmYVZIdWs/view?usp=sharing

not all bmp file can be engraved. you can import bmp from the file menu usually.

We have Laser machine 1390 laser with 150w laser, have problems with engraving.
We have LaserWork v6.0.23, make all like on you video, but the machine dont engaving.

+Fahri shka 150w is too big, if you set the power too low ( such as 10% or 15%, there might no laser comes out at all), 150w is for cutting and it's good at cutting.
however, if you use 150w for engraving I don't think you'll get good effect. at least not so good as 60w does.

Our laser machine we buy at the SINMIC factory (Jinan city). Our model is SL-1390.
We turned to their engineers, they do not want us to help solve this problem.
Laser cutting works perfect, we don’t have problems with cutting.
But the engraving don’t work. We are prepare file for engraving at BMP, give all settings, then we send file to the machine.
Started to blow air compressor, but the head stand and don’t moving. It takes 5 seconds, and then turns off. No laser at this time. Just turns on the air compressor.

This type of laser cuts non-metal only. You need fiber laser to cut metal.
