I have the G400 in worn cherry. It’s the lowest end guitar in my collection. I beat the hell out of during drunken rehearsals and got it for that reason. It holds up to the beating. I don’t regret the purchase at all.
i changed mexican Fender Stratocaster for one of this. and im very happy. sounds amazing with and without distortion. mine is Cherry colour. sounds really great.

Everybody should have at least one Fender and one Gibson type of guitar, they each get a sound of their own.

I have a Squire contemporary strat and this same g-400 Epiphone, they are both Chinese, but I much prefer the strat, sorry.
Perfect demo video. I just bought this guitar used but I'm not a shredder. I like how this shows a few different sounds using the different pickup positions. Good audio info.

Yeah i love mine too! I just scored one of these beauties. On the notorious neck dive: I replaced the weird strap the guy had on it with my old comfy, short fender strap and... no more neck dive! You just need to be shortass with a shortass strap like me haha :) Also, a lot of people try to wear the strap 'straight/normally' but if you put a twist in, because of the way the rear strap pin faces, it will actually make the strap straighten out... if that makes sense? It stops the strap from sliding/rotating down your shoulder and also helps stops the neck dive. One other trick if you real have problems is to put a heavy weight, wrapped in tape and secured in the control cavity to help balance things out a bit.
For the price, it kicks ass!!
I own this guitar but I put p90 sized humbuckers in and this guitar sounds great. I bought it very cheap as a project and I now play it almost as much as my other more expensive guitars. I am not a fan of the stock pickups at all. The pickup upgrade made a world of difference. Came with the Grover tuners. Next up is locking tuners. I usually keep it C standard with mondo slinky strings.

I think I also need a Marshall half-stack. Although I do prefer (and am looking for) an Epiphone SG 310 in that unusual orange/red colour Epiphone don't use anymore. Good video, good presentation and good playing, Sir!

I have this guitar,... Epiphone makes great guitars,......I now a big fan of the newer Gibson standards,....I like the Gibson SG Special,.....the new one with mini hum bucke's is nice also,......I have a 60's tribute Gibson Les Paul that has locking Grovers and stays in tune well,.....but most Epiphone's seem to stay in tune better than the average Gibson.....PRS has a better headstock,....my PRS stays in tune great,...they fixed the tuning problem altogether, same great tone.
Отличная гитара, оригинальное звучание нп похожее на другие гитары. Свой характер. Солло звучит шикарно, ритм тоже неплохо но не для мяса. Для средне тяжёлых и лёгких стилей лучше не придумать

Купил в свое время со скидкой за 12000 рублей и как-то она мне не нравится, есть проблема всех SG - перевес в сторону грифа, очень не крепкое место в районе входа для Jack'а, у меня оно сломано и эпоксидкой залито, но вроде работает нормально, с мензурой, высотой струн и отстройкой грифа +- все в порядке, колки надо побольше оборотов, т.к хоть и гровер, но без оборотов от одного бенда расстраивается, не знаю почему, но у многих гитар замечал постоянно расстраивающуюся 3 струну(G), вот прям у многих, как и с этой, гриф не нравится, насколько я понимаю у большинства епифонов и гибсонов такой, мне удобнее как-то тонкие и широкие, типа фендеров или ибанезов, но для привыкших вполне норм, у места где крутить анкер, под выкручивающейся пластмасской все выглядит ужасно :D стекашая краска, плохо отшкуренное дерево, но во всем остальном вроде в порядке, пару огрехов еще с накладкой и самим грифом есть, но их не видно совсем. В целом хочу обменять на страт или телек :D
+jakerrr4 Гриф действительно чуть перевешивает, как и у всех sg ). Фурнитура конечно не дорогая. Но в целом гитара неплохая, соответствует своей цене )))

Really like this guitar . Just can’t pull the trigger and buy it. I’m waiting for a lawsuit settlement and was planning on buying the Gibson w 60’s style humbuckers.

If you like the weight distribution and the neck feel. I adjusted the action on mine myself and you can get some good low action. I use Ernie ball limes which are the same gauge as the factory strings. There are a lot of different sounds when you adjust the controls, you can still go from clean to dirty using only the knobs if you set your amp right.
