      I've been playing with a concept in my head, where Imperial Trooper and Republic Agent both give each faction access to the Assault Cannon and Sniper Rifle respectively. Since BioWare isn't as well funded, the storylines would be shorter and the character would start from a higher level, somewhere in 20-25 range. Disciplines would include Double DPS and Healer, only one Specialization. In terms chronology, they could either start around where other classes would be right after Capital World visit, and partake in the Main Game conflict, or they would shed light on the current Post-Zakuul situation.

      Also Emperor Vitiate(ToR) had to die,both for plot reasons and cus he would have wiped the galaxy clean of life.I do like the Empire stories better than the Republic ones though.

    Light-side Imperial characters get, hands down, the best storylines and character development. Everyone else gets to be cartoon-good and cartoon-evil; Imperial light-siders get to be people born into a quasi-fascist totalitarian state who try to undermine it and do some good for actual people instead of just ideals. Both my LS and DS Agents went independent for differing reasons.
      My LS Agent went independent because, while she was still loyal to the Empire and sympathetic to the Republic, both sides had taken advantage of her and used her for their own ends. While she would still serve the Empire, being independent means that she can do so on her own terms to avoid being manipulated and used by them again.
      My DS Agent was very much out for himself first and foremost, but wanted to at least seem like he was loyal to the Empire and Jadus so he could continue to benefit from them. Really, he wanted nothing to do with either the Empire or Republic, so going independent was an obvious choice. He ends up acting more like a mercenary after that, but still works with the Empire because he knows how much credits and resources he can squeeze out of it

  • @xareliya166
    @xareliya166 Před 3 lety +11

    My imperial agent started out as loyal to the Empire but hated sith rule and thus trying to save as many lives as possible. But after Jadus she genuinely has doubts about being imperial and thinking about jumping ship.
    Her brainwashing left her emotionally traumatised and completely disillusioned with the empire for doing it to her, and furious at Kothe for exploiting it, but she eventually rationalises that imperial intelligence would have done the exact same thing to a potential SIS double agent, and that she had temporarily brainwashed a slave herself on Dromund Kaas for intelligence, so she eventually decides to spare Kothe and start to undermine the Empire and save lives where possible.
    And eventually she does join Kothe and become a double agent for the Republic. It’s easy to be angry at Kothe for exploiting you character’s brainwashing, but you did the same and imperial intelligence would have done the same in an alternate scenario, so I don’t think it’s too far out for a light side agent to take this path.

    Do you think this decision makes sense from the imperial agent's perspective? I personally found the neutral ending to be the most appealing because I find that both the Republic and the Sith manipulate and use you as a tool. I think that the most prudent course for the agent would be to help Darth Jadus (since he is the only one offering equality between force users and non-force users) and then to stay on the Empire side but do not necessarily help the Sith. Remove info and stay as a shadow agent. I think that's the most logical decision to make when playing the agent. What do you think?

    • @Tup3x
      @Tup3x  Před 10 lety +1

      From agent's perspective it's dangerous as hell choice. Being neutral would be "safe" choice but if the agent really does not want to have anything to do with the Empire, this is the right choice. It's true that the imperial agent is basically just a tool for both but still, I think that she/he has better chance with the Republic than alone to achieve peace in the galaxy.

It might have been the "Surrender or die" neutral choice that led to my agent locking him inside with the defesive turrets after he refused to surrender. In terms of "light" and "dark," I've always found that it's actually not that easy, in role play, to score very high on the dark side. The person pretty much has to choose the most sadistic and sociopathic option for every single decision. I've watched "full dark" SWTOR character series; the characters are just so 2-dimensionally brutish that they are no longer believable as people. it's actually comical watching someone going out of her way to be deliberately evil to everyone and everything.

    SWTOR has such an awesome storyline... it's just ashame about the rest of the game... generic wow-clone styled mmorpg... sigh. If this had all been a KOTOR3 with online co-op game play... I think it'd have been a much better game.

      @charlesw5919 Před 9 lety +33

      To be fair, the gameplay really is suspiciously WOW-esque, but SWTOR does it and a lot of other things rather well. With good gear, the game is surprisingly solo-able if you just pursue the storylines for your characters' classes; so it can be played like a single-player RPG more often than not.

      As far as I can tell, only by killing the other SIS agents do you block republic agent

  • @travelerofthemultiverse9444

    People keep saying this ending makes no sense. That entirely depends on how you imagined your character. I imagined mine as completely losing faith in the empire. Both because of Darth Jadis, and the fact that the programming was not done by SIS, but imperial intelligence. While giving him the codex is still a bit iffy. From that perspective becoming a double agent for the Republic makes perfect sense, and that is honestly my favorite way to end that class story. With destroying the Codex being a Close Second.

    • @Dark_Voice
      @Dark_Voice Před 8 měsíci

      I would want that ending BUT problem is that letting someone willing to bomb Dormund Kaas and level cities in the republic could bring republic to Empire's level. These things need to be arrested not let loose so as much as I would wanna work for the republic. The choices are not possible to do and actually my neutral ending was pretty good.

    Come on , the Imperial Agent is supposed to be the class you play when you're in a mood for a good Imperialy patriotic game , betraying the Empire and siding with the Republic , it's like ... Taking away the whole point of being an Agent of the Empire :|

    • @Trunks1stApprentice
      @Trunks1stApprentice Před 8 lety +37

      +General Khalee (TA-65015) Not necessarily. Remember, before the ROTHC and SOR expansions, the story ends with the Agent erasing all records of their existence using the Black Codex and going into the galaxy with an entire future of freedom ahead of them. By that point, why should alliances matter? They could crawl back to the Empire, run off to the Republic, or even become underground informants who provide info to whoever asks regardless of faction.

    • @Tomcat_Coyote
      @Tomcat_Coyote Před 8 lety +6

      Trunks1stApprentice Well , we know that the Agents spends his storyline fighting the Cabal , because they're a threat to the whole Galaxy , and they tricked the Dark Council into screwing with Imperial Intelligence . So they could technically go " freelance " and become the biggest underground information brokers , or even take the Cabal's place and finish what they started . But the most logical ending for an Agent of the Empire ( imho ) is till to use the Black Codex and your freedom to assist the Empire from the shadows . There's gotta be a winner to the war , someone " ruling " the Galaxy , and apart from trying to destroy the Cabal , you pretty much spend all you game trying to destroy the Republic aswell in the process , so i can picture a loyal Agent siding with them . Key word being " loyal " here of course , but then again , if you're not planning on remaining loyal to the Empire , you could aswell roll a Trooper from the beginning :P

    • @Trunks1stApprentice
      @Trunks1stApprentice Před 8 lety

      Trunks1stApprentice I see a lot of people saying Trooper is the best class , so i'm trying it out . My Trooper is just lvl 15-20 and so far it hasn't been really exciting . I find that the Sith Warrior class is quite interresting and the Agent is really great , altough Chapter 1 is a bit dull . I just re-completed and recorded the Smuggler storyline , because that's a really fun one to play :)

    • @Trunks1stApprentice
      @Trunks1stApprentice Před 8 lety +1
