Unfortunately if you're coming to centre parks from the south up the A1 it will take you this way. Luckily when I came I was wise to these videos and the ford was low
Sat nav did same thing too me a few years ago as well I promptly made an about turn and went back the way I came.

@@ic1815 The Ford is the actual part it crossed the road, that channel which Mr Land Rover drove up is actually an overflow from Rufford Lake. There's actually a weir a little bit further up on the straight but from where the water leaves the road.

Ben managed to film it all, the ducks which I'm always happy to see, a 'swimmer' and an RC Land Rover.
The Range Rover at the end did it right with the bow wave.

There is more then one way to succes. I just thought the reverse technique was very clever.

How one new model flew through it while the other little older model went slower, because he was considered of the water levels. Hitting water a high speed can damage if not destroy parts of the car. Especially when modern cars are mostly made lightweight parts, like plastic, on the exterior.

apparently there is a main road between the 2 villages , this is a back-road that is well marked as a ford & shouldn't be used

That Isuzu driver reversing works, however it's not advisable unless you truly knows the area well. Side note;- most of the modern 4x4s have their air intakes located near or above the wheel wells.
Isuzu could have easily done it forward. 2.5' is barely a puddle if it's driven properly 😉

It really depends where the air intake/filter on your engine is...some intakes can be placed quite low down, so it could still suck in some water even when reversing through it

Safari etc have a clever design that it doesn’t pick up rain water we have them fitted to our 2021 rangers ( twin turbos ) and they don’t ever pickup rain water and I’m in Scotland so that says it all
