It's so fantastic to see people so in love with what they are doing. They look like they are experiencing such joy while theya re playing. That's the way it should be.
I saw Leahy (eight members because of a maternity leave) at The Bottom Line in NYC on St. Paddy's day and Donnell announced that between shows there they were going to travel uptown to Lincoln Center to join The Chieftains in concert. The next day the NY Time review said that The Chieftains played as if the music were museum pieces, but that Leahy had brought life to the event. Check out the video of Donnell Leahy and his then new wife Natalie MacMaster performing at the TED Conference.

16 years old, but listening all my life to this kind of music. The Chieftains are just great, and Leahy is just awesome!
This whole genre of music fascinates me. It is such an exuberant style of music.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day from Israel! God Bless Ireland!
So much boldness and fervour and incomparable irish flavour :-D

Amazing, Chieftains deserve credit here too!
Seen this one before. Looks like Agnes at the absolute right.
