I think the downtown and shopping in better in Brighton.
That said we are closer to Howell.
Love the area.
Both areas have a lot to offer, and love what Brighton just did to their downtown!

The land tax is hi in Michigan i am form them
Property taxes can be high depending on the city/county for sure. But if you're comparing it to states like NY or CA we are not talking apples to apples.
why would you want to move to either of these places

Low crime, friendly people, not crowded, small towns with lively downtown areas, don't have to go far to own acreage.
