Live in Downtown Detroit, 16 years now, just love it. There’s so much to do. We have a wonderful neighborhood here, great people, and we have everything at our fingertips, whether it be grocery stores and Eastern Market Pro Sports, , theater, museums, great restaurants, wonderful, walking, and biking pathways as well as the Riverfront and Belle Isle is five minutes away. We walk to almost everything, sometimes go 3 to 4 days without even thinking about starting a car. Our neighborhood is quite safe also . I don’t find our winters particularly rough at all anymore, mind you I like them anyway, but I certainly wouldn’t call it severe or brutal by any means, I enjoy all four seasons. We’re very happy here.

Sorry if this is too invasive.. but when you were talking about your average car insurance premium is that for full coverage? Im in Indiana and planning to make the move when my bonus daughter graduates high school. Our premium is in that price range already for full coverage so just trying to get an idea. Thanks in advance!

at 13:57, when could one ever take the train from Dearborn to Toronto? Unless it was the BlueWater/International service way back in 1982 (which would involve a transfer in Battle Creek?)

Is Michigan a good State to retire to, as compared to say Ohio ?

It is! Ann Arbor has been ranked one of the best places to retire in the US among other great cities in the surrounding area.

I have never heard of anyone moving to Michigan at least not in modern times.
