"I blame HRT for this" Been bingewatching Lily Savage videos the past week, remember seeing my parents laugh like crazy over her, I'm so sad I was too young to appreciate it!
I remember when they first did this I was 😂😂 it was brilliant but the next day the papers really went for Cilla but as Paul said a few years later he, Cilla and Barbara were playing the part of three old slappers and it wasn't serious just for laughs.
I also remember watching this, watching it now, what Talent I feel this stage had, it lit that Theatre up, I can only imagine what fun these three had with this awesome routine. All back together again will be very much missed. Truly heartbreaking Paul has now left us to join 2 of his Best friends. Our loss is the Angel's gain.
So sad to wake up to the news this morning that Paul has passed. One of my all time favourites, and as a child this was the first time I was introduced to both him and drag. Barbara’s passing brought me here. That’s two of three legends no longer with us. As a little gay kid watching this - something about Babs and Cilla’s campy glamour and they’re old school entertainment just spoke to me and I never forgot this performance. They’re greatly missed ❤️

remember watching this as a kid when it was first broadcast and recording it on an old VHS tape. i watched and rewatched it until there was nothing left of that tape, and always remember how much i loved it. now in my mid twenties, to think two of them are now gone. thank you both ladies, for sharing your incredible talent with us. and paul, i love you to bits.

I'm so happy to have seen this when they did it. Probably the most refreshing - and having 'Ms. Savage' - most innovative - production I've seen. Ms. Black sounds almost exactly as she did - and that's rare, as as one ... becomes more...'mature', the voice (and other things, a-HEM!) began to get sag...down ;> (great legs - on all of them).
She moved on to a higher stage. So shall you and the rest of us. Live while you're alive. The rest will follow... and that mean YOU... if you ever really lived.
