The fact they were even talking about the prospect of becoming the successors to the original Big three (Iron Man, Cap and Thor) in this moment only makes it more sad. So much has happened and changed in these past few years, it’s unreal. With Boseman’s death, COVID-19, the underperformance of The Marvels potentially affecting Larson’s future with the MCU, etc.

Nobody forgot about Spider-Man, they just forgot that he was Peter Parker. It doesn't take any magic for the Avengers to remember him, because they remember everything they've been through together, except for his true identity. If he decides to reveal himself to them, and he does, because we need to see Tom Holland's face, then he just comes and takes off his mask and then one of the Avengers makes a couple of jokes about him being just a teenager and not a man. People on the internet love to make everything so overdramatic.🙃

Chadwick was the real hero. The fact that he decided to make all those movies while going through tons of chemo was extraordinary. He was taken way too soon. RIP
These three could have been COMPLETELY AMAZING if it weren’t for so much of the things behind the scenes I knew for a fact in another universe how epic it could have been to see spider man black panther and captain marvel fight doctor doom
But why these three? Does it have to do something with comics because it seems to me a bit random.
Never mind, found it out
Pretty sure in another universe it wouldn't be doctor doom. Cause alot of behind the scenes would change. It would still be Kang because everything that happened bts (and antman 3 maybe wouldn't exist) here wouldn't have happened in the another universe.
@@ihavenoname-qm8nr I guess Marvel used the source material as inspiration to take the MCU in its own direction. At the time, it made sense. Chadwick really woulda helped push Black heroes into the mainstream and into bigger discussions than previously. Such a shame to lose him
He did though. Black Panther was a massive movie afterall and there’s still the New Captain America, Shuri and hopefully dc does a good cyborg movie at some point, not to mention miles probably coming to live action eventually too.
But I get you, Chadwick continuing on would’ve made phase 4 and beyond so much better. it’s also a shame the blade movie seems to be having trouble, and Rhodey being a skrull for so much of the MCU. Captain Marvel wasn’t even a compelling character in her first standalone movie or even in the comics. No way is she headlining the MCU as a front runner
My thoughts exactly, the fanfare for her movies and character was just never there in the first place. Even with her first film being between what was effectively the two biggest films in all of cinema, it barely made an average amount for a MCU movie, and the reception was lukewarm at best.
Ignoring all the uninformed shouting about “politics” (or whatever you want to call all of that noise), her general responses to things and the way she acted both in front of cameras and behind the scenes made her feel generally unlikeable and stuck-up in a way that caused both the general public and the higher ups behind the scenes (including the rest of the big name actors) began to push her away, making it clear that she could never have a central role in the long term.

Captain Marvel is similar to Rey Palpatine. On her own she’s a character that audiences don’t like but because she’s attached to one of the biggest film series in cinema her debut movie became one of the highest grossing films in history. These misconceptions caused Disney to think people liked them.
Average amount for an MCU film? It’s way above the average gross amount. I don’t like the character anymore than you do, but let’s not misconstrue the numbers here. Of the current 34 films in the MCU, it’s the 11th highest grossing. Of all superhero movies it’s currently the 13th highest grossing. Of all films in history it’s the 33rd highest grossing. That Avengers push made it do serious numbers. The Marvels, the lowest grossing MCU and perhaps the biggest dropoff in film history, revealed what audiences really feel about the character without that push. Black Panther 2 didn’t even have T’Challa in it and it still did respectable numbers. Carol has less box office appeal than a previous side character like Shuri, a newcomer like Shang Chi and the characters nobody cares about from Eternals.
Even after her debut film, she had relatively minimal presence in Endgame. That just makes me question why a character like Ms Marvel exists other than the fact that’s how she’s depicted in the comics. Of all the superheroes that had a more profound impact on the world around her, Kamala happens to fangirl for the character that was around the least and has the absolute worst personality. Seems like a way for Disney to try to get the audience to like Carol by proxy. Funny how in Carol’s own sequel that she doesn’t even get to be the title headline character of, most people don’t even say Brie’s character was not a highlight of but instead it was Kamala. Even Monica grew to dislike her in-universe at first, which is more reflective of the actual audience than what Kamala represented.
Ain’t no way anybody ever thought she’d be the face of the MCU or even one of the pillars. That’d be like making Rey the main face of the next Star Wars movie, which will only rank the project since they no longer have nostalgia casting to rely on with Luke, Han & Lea all dead along with Kylo Ren.
Characters/actors/actress like her are the reason they're doing a soft reboot after Secret Wars they want to leave out all the characters that failed and redo them properly or just not include them at all, Rogue for example can easily replace Captain Marvel and nobody would have a problem with it, if they're going to keep any character with Marvel in their name it should be Ms Marvel that's it
@@courier6960ok I keep hearing these rumors about higher ups not liking her and people claiming the actors didn't like her despite Don Cheadle coming to her defense
Any like legit proof on that?
@@courier6960
I don’t like Captain Marvel as much as the guy, but let’s not misconstrue the numbers.
Of the current 34 films in the MCU, Captain Marvel is the 11st highest grossing film. It made way more than the average MCU movie. Even outside of MCU,Captain Marvel is the 13th highest grossing superhero film. Out of all films in history it’s the 33rd highest grossing.
Being sandwiched between the highest grossing Avengers films gave this film and its extremely unlikable lead an undeserved boost. Remove that Avengers association boost and you get flops like Ms Marvel and The Marvels.
It’s telling that they even tried to use Infinity Saga footage to advertise for this standalone film cuz they know she’s nothing without Avengers.
People only tolerate these characters when they’re part of a greater more well received ensemble cast. Put them in the spotlight and that project is bound to tank.
Chadwick performances while having cancer is right up there wit Raul Julia in street fighter while having stomach cancer before his death
I feel really bad for Brie Larson, "Does anyone even want me to do it again?" is just sad. You can tell she had big hopes and was excited for it but Marvel ended up failing so miserably with her character that they disappointed her AND the audience
Same
She's honestly a great actress and it's a shame so many people hate her simply because it's "popular" to hate her.
Correction: the spell made everyone forget who peter parker was, not spider man
Spiderman doesn't need to since DP is included in the MCU now and he messed with time and space yet caused no incursions or mass issues at all so they just need a team up and use dp's sheer love for Spidey to fix up everything
Ryan renolds said he would love to do a spiderman and deadpool movie iirc
That's why I'll always think Black Panther should have been recast. Other than members of his family saying it should have been, the fact that Chadwick was fighting cancer and still gave everything to that role, Marvel wanted to be respectful but I honestly feel it would have been more respectful to continue T'Challa's story as Chadwick spent his final years building a character that could be inspirational to many only for Marvel to tear it down.
Regarding this topic, of the MCU post-Endgame...What started this problem was the HUGE amount of projects happening concurrently, leading to a totally directionless MCU. Forget about Kang, he wasn't even mentioned till Loki and Antman. No build up. In the old days, the movie before had an affect on the movie after. Now we're finally moving on, fighting over Tiamut, talking about the multiverse, etc. But it feels too late.
Istg Marvel should file a lawsuit or try to buy the shares of Spider-Man, we wanna see him grow in the MCU and grow into a world changing scientist. I just want to see an ending of Peter where he’s rich, bc we’ve seen all those financial struggles 😭😭
So much has happened though that in another lifetime, Chadwick Boseman lived to play T’Challa in future MCU movies, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man wouldn’t have to be fictional child custody battle and Brie Larson as Captain Marvel would’ve done good had there been better writing for the Marvels and maybe not so much of "don’t read the comics” but sadly we got to live in the current world that we live in
I miss Chadwick so much, and as much as I want to see him again it would just feel wrong. If they end up bringing a black panther back I think the best way is to use an aged up tchalla jr or bring in a variant of killmonger that became the black panther instead.
i think the best way they can execute it without breaking continuity is having killmonger’s son (the rightful heir to the throne) become the next black panther. he would be in a similar situation to killmonger but less assertive.
@@jackweber3660 Well by that logic we can just bring in tchalla's son, who would really be the rightful heir.
@@Chilly_Tab2 it’d be odd if t’challa had a son, he’s too classy to mess around like that and have an unknown son. killmonger would have definitely had a spot in wakandan royalty if he wasnt so tyrannical and corrupt. if killmonger had a son that was less forceful and had more righteous qualities, than he’d make for a great black panther.

I gotta say after watching the marvels, I can finally die happy knowing that I get to forget about watching that cinematic disaster.
The Fourth Movie is Gonna Be about Chameleon ruining the Image of Spider-man, and Dare Devil is Gonna Help him because he has experience with his identity being ruined by Bullseye.
Another way they could go, is that Spider-man is basically barebones street level and has no information to rely on for anything so now he starts working at the daily bulge in order to get that "Web" of information. This could lead him into finding out about Hammerhead or Tombstone, and either one could send Scorpion after him.
I want the movie to end however, with him asking out MJ and they agree to out at Central Park or something, and he's on his way to the place where they're supposed to meet when Doomsday happens and he gets dragged into Secret Wars with everyone else.
Black panthers movie was great don’t compare it to captain marvel
I'm glad that I Do Know Nothing is one of those people who are still hopeful for the future of the MCU.
I just realized something about this that makes this even more sad. The passing of the gauntlet segment of Endgame’s final battle was teasing the new big three. Black Panther, Spider-Man and Captain Marvel all carried the gauntlet until Thanos blew up the tunnel.
Bri sorta messed things up for herself. Marvel Studios and hardcore fans ended up tokenizing Chadwick Boseman by canceling T’Challa, and Sony is still being Sony with Spider-Man. I’m pretty sure they had a big say on the MCU “forgetting” who Spider-Man really was. They also force yanked Venom out of the MCU as well.
Honestly, I think it was a good thing they yanked Venom out of the MCU. I'd rather he be his own thing, not influenced by the pesky Spider. Maybe the MCU could take a note from the Ultimate universe and have one of those "man-made" symbiotes made with Peter's DNA or something, but as far as I'm concerned, I'd rather see Tom Hardy's Venom fighting Knull rather than Spider-Man
“Wakanda Forever” 🙅🏿♂️
May the King rest in peace..
Having black panther, spider man and captiain mavel be the new trio could have been so cool;
I totally understand the cast and crew probably would’ve been depressed and felt weird about recasting tchalla but their decision to not wait a few years and recast was detriment to them. ( None of Dwayne Mcduffies Iconic Fish out of water Marvel knights stories will get adapted now) They really ruined the progress and legacy of the character of black panther for a check. They used the stigma of black panther to be promoted as an African American only film meant to speak minute volumes about problems that are not relevant to the sci-fi fantasy world of Marvel. It was extremely gross how they tried treating Latins during wakanda forever and offended a lot of Mexicans trying to portray namor as a similar symbol of unification under one hero.( not all Mexicans are of Mayan decent and can be pretty colorful about it if you mix it up) It was pretty disgusting whoever wrote the dialogue for namor and added the fake accent to make it sound like “amor”. I get it but it screams this was written by a person who only speaks one language. Namor is a character of Roman heritage and how the writers didn’t see that it was his literal name backwards is beyond me.
It’s also important to remember that they wrote Spider-Man off like this because at the time Disney and Sony (cause somy still owns Spider-Man they are just licensing it out to Disney to use)Spider-Man contract was nearing its end. Negotiations at the time were not going well and the possibility of another deal were fading away. So they wrote it in a way that could have a good ending or for him to continue being in the mcu. But now they have the deal figured out.
I think everyone forgetting who Spider-Man is can help mcu make him more comic book accurate because he felt like a white version of miles morales with the way they were handling his story. it’s clear they want to start a soft reboot trilogy
Spider-Man has potential now that everyone forgot about him as Peter , I don’t personally want him to be in avengers but be solo. At least this version of Spider-Man

Big 3 of MCU
1-Th3Birdman-As an impartial party, I would like to have seen how this film would have done had it been properly promoted and all other variables been equal to something like, say, Thor Love and Thunder. I think both these movies are around the same quality level, only Thor 4 made just under a billion.
My problem is that there have been extenuating circumstances with some recent Marvel properties, and people are claiming the MCU is dead. It's like, Guardians 3 just made nearly a billion, Wakanda Forever nearly made a billion, Loki Season 2 was critically acclaimed, Deadpool's trailer is one of the most watched trailers, and The Marvels is dominating Disney Plus right now.
If that's what a "dead" franchise looks like, what the hell is an "alive" franchise???
2-CinemaSins - movie spends way too long on a flashback recap of the original Captain Marvel movie like even if I forgot that movie entirely which I did I would still feel like this was too much backstory.
Th3Birdman- The Marvels legitimately can't catch a break. If it isn't the morons on Twitter claiming, you needed to watch two different TV shows to understand this movie story (which you don't and was always a dumb critique) then it is CinemaSins claiming there's too much backstory present here. The last thing Chadwick was in before he passed was what if episode 5 it holds a special place in my heart but it’s sad that we didn’t get to see more from him but he would always live on in the movies he was in
What...? Spider-Man isn't written into a corner, it's the exact opposite. Now that no one knows who he is, he has a blank slate. He can do anything, have a brand new plotline that doesn't rely on MJ or any other character that tied him down previously. It's actually a BETTER position than he was in before because there are a LOT more possibilities. And, if they ever want to, they can figure out how to get people to remember again, but it's not something that's mandated.
I feel like a lot of people misinterpret the mind wipe people forgot about Peter Parker not Spider-Man even dr strange talks about him to America in mom and that canonically take place after no way home
Actually in the comics something like No Way Home happened and when Peter revealed he was spider-man to people their memories came back
May Chadwick Boseman rest in peace he was a phenomenal actor and a legend he will be missed.
It’s been a rocky 5 years since endgame…it started out promising but then every movie turned into hit or miss. Eternals marked the downfall; but Deadpool and Wolverine+ the dr doom announcement makes me hopeful for the future of marvel
Who would play black panther if marvel reboots
Everyone knows who Spiderman is just no one knows Peter Parker and the man underneath the mask.
I haven't seen such a major case of franchise exhaustion in a fandom since I was knee deep in Assassin's Creed around the time Origins came out.
Star Lord in What If was technically Chadwick's last role and I was crying the whole time.
Actually... In spider man 3,they forgot who is Peter Parker, but they remember Spider Man.
I hope the new big three is Spider-Man(who’d get a forth solo film), Captain Falcon (i know he’s captain America I just say falcon to avoid confusion), and Captain Marvel (She deserves a shot at redemption.)
I want that too. I've saying sam should be apart of the big 3
I guess he finally lived up to his channel name. It's like dude never watched the latest Spiderman movie.
Also, why Sony keep making villain movies is that so MCU can't put them in their movies with some legal bs.
They did bought fox tho. Looking back on how good the X-Men movies were, does bring in some questions. Like "do they going to let loose the restricting corporation rules to the director like in Deadpool and Wolverine?" Or they will stick to "killing all the animators and writers for 'rushed' products?" Who knows
Mind you guys, people don't remember who Peter is, but they know who and what spiderman did according to the movie's logic
...no, it still doesn't make complete sense for very specific details, but by all means, peter is practically in an "alternate" universe were Spiderman did everything he did without revealing his identity to anyone.
I think Captain Marvel's biggest mistake was them trying so hard to hype her up and for whatever reason trying to push the notion that she was the strongest Avenger, instead of letting the fans bring up the question.
What sad even more is that are Legend is gone but at least he is in heaven now
Every time I think about MCU Black Panther, I remember that Boseman told them he thought T'Challa should be recast. They waited until he died, then said, "Nah."
Boseman's brother is very vocal about how they asked Chadwick what he thought they should do. Seriously, why ask and make the big deal about asking, then just not do it?
the reward of recasting t’challa just isnt high enough to risk the potential backlash they could face for it. they did however kill him off in the worst possible way, they denied him of any honorable death and made him die from an undisclosed illness
Captain Marvel can easily walk the path that Thor once walked.
Thor/Captain Marvel - A pretty mediocre first film that some like and some don't, but for a first introduction to a character, it works fine.
The Avengers/Endgame - The first appearance in a big crossover, which in principle everyone liked, but the character in the film itself had almost nothing to do, except to be an object for large-scale action scenes.
The Dark World/Marvels - The second film, which became much worse and nobody likes it.
Age of Ultron/Doomsday - The second crossover, where the character is again not given a big role, because he is not as popular as the other characters due to the previous films. But the audience does not complain much, because he performs well the functions prescribed to him in the script.
Ragnarok/Captain Marvel 3(potential) - The third film where the creators decided to completely change the approach to the character and make it more attractive to the general audience. And it worked.
Infinity War/Secret Wars - The third crossover, where the character, in addition to incredibly cool action scenes, also gets a good story arc and development, because of which everyone begins to love him and say that he is one of the best. And not only in this film, but in the franchise in general.
Therefore, Captain Marvel still has every chance to become a popular and beloved character. But! After "The Marvels" failure, I don't think they will give her a third movie and a chance to redeem herself. And this means that she will not have the opportunity to finally like the audience and get a bigger role in the next Avengers, so that everyone will finally love her. Which is sad, because she had great potential.
Nah,... Captain Marvel and Bree larson they both suck !!
Just the "Strong Female Character" energy, no esteemed story line to connect with audience... 🤮
Everyone still remembers spiderman just not peter. So they prob got a way to contact him still.

So we're gonna act now like Captain Marvel ended up a disappointment from that picture till now?
The disappointment went on her own movie, then we all just wanted to see how actually powerful they made her in Avengers and she ended up not taking that big of a role in the movie, and if anything they're trying to make her character more appealing. The reason The Marvels failed that hard is not because of the quality of the movie itself but because it suffer the backlash from releasing after the major MCU disgraces: Love and Thunder and Quantumania, and because people were already going to hate on the movie despite how good it was
Well I’m happy that they didn’t go with Brie Larson
The Avengers still remember Spider-Man. In Doomsday they’ll probably go “Oh, Spider-Man used to work with us, let’s get him to help!”

MJ, Ned, Happy, Flash, etc since they knew Peter closer than most, completely got him and their knowledge of Spider-Man erased. Since they were involved with Peter in his personal life, it will be as though they never even met Peter or Spider-Man.
Hope this helps clear up some people’s confusion.
Who seriously thought Spider-Man, Black Panther & Captain Marvel would be the new Big 3 faces of the MCU? They barely interact with each other unlike Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor
Whatever camaraderie they’d have would pale in comparison to what came before
definitely did not write into a wall with Spider-Man
Chadwick was fighting till the very end
Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman
Spider-Man written into a corner? For the first time in the MCU he has unlimited Spidey potential! I'm just waiting for them to capitalize on it, and don't really trust them to be able to
RIP King
If they play their cards right, the next big three could be Spiderman, more mature after everything he's been through, Mr. Fantastic depending on what they do in First Steps, and Sam Wilson Captain America
i dont see how mr fantastic or the fantastic four could be executed well in marvel. they are kind of gimmicky outdated characters
I would have loved to see black panther and spider man interacte in the movie
They are supposed to be the new faces of the MCU, but at least we spider-man and captain marvel but chadwick is gone rest in peace
so marvel had a great story for spiderman 4 which was to figure himself out and deal with king pin (which is what the fans wanted. A grounded spiderman story) but then sony came in and said "WE WANT A BIG MULTIVERSE FILM for spiderman. Now spiderman is going to be fighting other marvel characters in the battle world as spiderman movie will be realising between avengers 5 and 6. Sony truely dont care what the audience want.
new big three is probably shang chi, captain anerica, and spiderman
hope the next spiderman movie covers peters depression, he basically has no identity other than being a hero
My biggest problem with MCU spider-man (among others) is his suits. Between the fact that they are pure CGI which ruins the rips and tears that show damage and the fact that the fact that MCU is always (pointlessly) shoving new designs for cheap toys is annoying.
Here is a great idea to prepare then next two avengers films and to properly bulid up doctor doom so the thing is don't do like what marvel did to thanos slowly buliding him that's not gonna work cuz 1 the next avengers films are releasing after 2 years which is doomsday. So to build up doctor doom just make a tv show with doctor doom as the main character and just do his tragic backstory and everything else make him interact with the fantastic four and you can make cameos of the fantastic four some of the avengers or some of the x-men so that they already know about doctor doom and if marvel makes this happen then ppl wouldn't complain about bot having doctor doom buildup cuz you have an entire show about this guy make it 8 episodes or something
But it would be kinda important for the whole story, so showing him in a series instead of a movie wouldn't be a good idea since not everyone has disney+
@@ihavenoname-qm8nr Well marvel can't take risks now they have to play safe and what happens release this and it flops then ppl are gonna say that the avengers films are gonna fail since the movie and plus not many ppl have disney plus but again some disney plus shows were a success if u look at it so who knows.
And then disney introduce DEI.
No
Badly written show and pumping out so much content is the problem not woke
Go outside
Since we can't have them as the new big three, next saga it should be hulk wolverine and spiderman
Let's hope Marvel and The Russo brothers deliver.
Respect to the dude with the blue bandanna.
In another universe chadwick is still with us... Working on BP 3
