Also as seen from the screen, if it is fast charging , a circle will surround the lightening symbol on the home screen (the top bar) . If there is no fast charging the circle will not appear

i want buy from your link but can u please confirm is support Arabic languge and add arabic keyboard and what ota? i heared some phone boot lop after update...thanks
It will likely degrade faster though, like most other lithium battery phones. Also, may need to be careful. Note 7 tried to jam too much capacity in and exploded when quick charged. Xiaomi may have doubts on their battery's ability to handle quick charging and decided to not include it in the box.
The charging speed would not affect the battery but the heat does. Fast charging is not recommended in any phone that heats up a lot (40 degrees C and above) during charging. Heat reduces overall battery lifespan.
CONFIRMED... I have Mi Max 2 and Redmi5Plus... Both of them support QC3.0. It has roundflash icon when charging, and comfirmed using Ampere software (2500mA max current flow). Noted i use the Mi Max 2 stock charger which support QC3.0. I'm never been this happy... Thx for the video man...
100% SURE REDMI 5 PLUS SUPPORT QC3.0. Unfortunately the stock charge come with it just has QC2.0, u should buy another charger that support QC3.0 (in my case i use MiMax2 stock Charger).
Shin Chan try another charger i was using Samsung note 5 and when i charge it used to becomes hot both phone and charger then i change the charger and only phone gets hot because of fast charging
How long does it take to charge the phone with stock charger bundled in the box? It took me only 2 hours to charge from 3-100% using stock charger. However, I was on 2G mobile network with data turned off. Still, the results are so different.
Ferland Sala It seems if you charge it through fast charger, the phone gets a bit hotter. Whereas, with normal charger you should be fairly okay. What charger have you been using?
Niraj Raj Kharel I've been using the free charge of this phone ... And i think it is Ok to my phone because the average of the temperature is 38 degree but my charger will get hot... Sorry to my English.. :) And when i charge my phone I've been using electric fan so that they will not get hot...
5+ charge the comes with it is technically not "fast charge" BUT it does charge at a pretty decent speed because it is 2a charge rate instead of 3A maximum that QC2.0 or up to 4.6a 3.0 can do either way, 2a while not "fast" is still just as good as many phones that come with a charger "in the box" for example Moto G phones more often then not only ship with a 1.5a charger. Even then, I have a charger that does 2A as well, and still the one that comes with phone still seems to charge it slightly faster (~10 mins faster) direct comparison. BUT cannot do QC3.0 charge speed of course ^.^ Redmi 5 Plus supports up to QC3.0 (because of its CPU which is rated for doing so) I got a QC 3.0 charger that works PERFECTLY with Redmi 5 Plus (I researched this ahead of time) from empty to full takes a bit under 2 hours (~1:40 mins with it "on" but locked, 1:30 mins with it fully powered off)
Thanks for making video stock charger and quick charge 3.0 comparison and now i know redmi 5 plus is didn't have QC 3.0 so max input to this phone only max 2 ampere, i also check with ampere app using QC 3.0 it have emoticon quick charge but actual charge max 2 A, same like original charger
Ferland Sala It will. Same story as to mine. Idk how "hot" do you mean, but mine just heats up a tad bit, which is caused by its compliance to QC2.0 (which, btw, is the charger supplied in the box).
Yes it is safe if you use proper and quality charger. I recommend you Samsung Adaptive fast charger. I can charge mi Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus with Samsung Adaptive fast charger from 10% to 90% only 50 minutes!
+Hon2838, check out my Redmi Note 4 charging test. It's Snapdragon version of Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi didnt give it another name to differentiate Mediatek and Snapdragon in Malaysia.
I believe that by Not recommending the fast charge Xiaomi allows the batteries to have a longer lifespan, since the fast charge stresses the batteries and reduce their life in terms of charging cycles before the effective capacity gets significantly reduced.
DickkeAlso Bwalls then you have to remember that the time to full charge is not significant, but the energy that the charger stores inside: a 2.000 mAh battery will fully charge in half the time, but the phone will live half the time too. With redmi 5 plus 50% battery gives you one full day operational.
Ferland Sala actually between 20-30 and 80%. Consider fully charging at 100% only if you need it to reach the end of your day. I am getting used to split the charge in two: in the evening before sleeping I reach 60%, and in the morning, while having breakfast and dressing up, I complete the charge up to 80-100% according to my needs.
But xiomi officially conforms tha redmni note 5 / redmi 5 plus doesn't support fast charging & the icons and the fast charging which is showing is for sample...
Many have tested it. Some people in MIUI Forum showed that the phone is receiving up to 2500mA max flow, which is up to Quick Charging 3.0's standard. Do check out the app called "Ampere" in the Play Store and even if you use the stock charger, it will go up to 1500mA, which is also up to par with Quick Charging, but only 2.0 and not 3.0.
the conclusion is, buying QC 3.0 charger is not worth it for redmi 5 plus. because on stock charger it only takes 2 hour and 2 minutes. so the time difference is not much.
Ferland Sala - yup, it's normal for the phone to get hot. because it is using fast charging. fast charging = phone gets hot when charging. and about 40 to 80, its non sense. i always keep my phone charged till 100%.
usama khan if your Samsung doing that, then better see a Samsung doctor. Fast charge 3.0 means 0 to 50 in 30 minutes. So 1 hour for 100%, one plus does that and so is the Infinix
imranlari, oneplus able to charge 0% to 55% percent in 30 minute. But 1 hour will not make it 100% charged, just like all the smartphone around the market, it slow down gradually.
Also as seen from the screen, if it is fast charging , a circle will surround the lightening symbol on the home screen (the top bar) . If there is no fast charging the circle will not appear

+Adnan Aly, boot loop after update? I think those having problems are those who flashing the ROM from China ROM to Global ROM?
+Adnan Aly, I'm using using China ROM now, it does has OTA. I will confirm again with Arabic Language and Keyboard, will update you later.
Your review is on point. Thank you so much for this, you earned a subscriber.
Will the battery drain faster if we do fast charging in this phone? Just curious
Worthem Shadang No
No becuz it just charges it with higher voltage
Always, law of physics..
It will likely degrade faster though, like most other lithium battery phones.

OokTiaopi I don't think Redmi 5 Plus supports QC 3.0, it does however support QC 2.0.
OokTiaopi are u sure redmi 5+ is support qc3.0??
100% SURE REDMI 5 PLUS SUPPORT QC3.0. Unfortunately the stock charge come with it just has QC2.0, u should buy another charger that support QC3.0 (in my case i use MiMax2 stock Charger).
OokTiaopi can i ask?? When i charge my phone (Redmi 5 plus) is it Normal that my charger and phone will get hot?? Sorry to my English...
Niraj Raj Kharel It won't exceed 2500ma max flow if it doesn't support QC3.0 though.

+Hon2838, check out my Redmi Note 4 charging test. It's Snapdragon version of Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi didnt give it another name to differentiate Mediatek and Snapdragon in Malaysia.
Actually SD625 supports QC 3.0 but xiaomi disabled the feature. Maybe to protect the battery of the device.
Rodeth Icong they announced on release of Redmi 5+ that it would support fast charging and fast charger would be included but we all got frustrated
Will it affect my battery life
Golam zilani Abid Yes. Because of a high current flow in the battery and higher temperature
I can charge mi Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus with Samsung Adaptive fast charger from 10% to 90% only 50 minutes!
Some1 knows, can i charge redmi 5+ with samsung s6/7 charger?
Does this support USB OTG?
4000mah at 2.0amps charge it will take 2 hours... so...I see nothing better than the charger included with this phone
RCGIGSportugal I can charge mi Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus with Samsung Adaptive fast charger from 10% to 90% only 50 minutes!

Applemoonz Channel yeah

redmi 5 plus battery life tesst plzzzzzz sir
Fast charging 2.0 or 3.0?
The Snapdragon 625 supports Quick Charge 3.0 ;-)
Source: www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/625
this phone supports 2.0, not 3.0 because that's designed for USB type C
Although Snapdragon 625 support Quick Charge 3.0, but Xiaomi only allowed this phone for QC 2.0
One more thing, Redmi 5 Plus = Indian Redmi Note 5. The specs are identical.
It's near 3.0 though.
The stock charger is as fast as Quick Charge 2.0.
Nice fon
Bro what happened to your hands.
Search "election ink" on wikipedia
bRO WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT
please test charge with airplane mode and test with original charger, thx
If the notification led is multicoloured
looks like it has only one color
The are any type of notification led colour setting in miui 9
yes, but it's limited by the hardware. i have enter the Test Mode on Redmi 5 Plus, it only has white color available on the notification LED test
Nó sạc còn nhanh hơn ip 14 prm của tôi.😂😂😂😂
Still not fast enough
Mubashir Ashraf, actually it makes not difference from normal charging. Go check out the Redmi 5 Plus stock charger test
CasuTech So basically you're saying it's same with fast or stock charger?
Mubashir Ashraf, yes, it's same
CasuTech can i ask?? When i charge my phone is it Normal that my charger and phone will get hot?? Sorry to my English...
CasuTech And sir is it true that you have to charge your phone between 40-80% percent .. Plsss response
Why is the person's English so bad in the video??
2 hours, and that's a fast charge? It should take 1 hour for 4000mah
imranlari really? Grow up... It's impressive that it charges in 1:54 time frame as s8+ charges in 1:42 and it has a 3500 mAH...

your full of bullshit
