I talked to them about it, and it’s to compete with the other passive high end brands. No clue why but D&B, L etc. went passive to begin with.

It makes sense to go passive for high end packaged systems. For smaller systems of course active makes more sense.

No it makes no sense to go passive anymore Rcf powered is a very reliable speakers No need to go backwards

@@roymoxley2587 GTX is passive and it makes sense, because it's a super high end array that comes as a package including amps.
