In Apokolips War Darkseid did different things for the superheroes instead of parademon transformation. Some like Wonderwoman and Batman had their minds controlled while some very unlucky ones like Cyborg was used as a living supercomputer for his base

@@Grrk_Jr Sadly , even the Snyder Cut version has the same design of Steppenwolf and Parademons that we saw on the theatrical cut , though the Parademon design was slightly different. Zack said it on Vero that Steppenwolf's design was changed way before production since WB wasn't happy with his look. A lot of Stepppenwolf talking with his mother Hegra was cut plus in the DCEU Darkseid is Steppy's uncle rather than the other way around. Snyder kind of pulled a Hela with the family tree in the apokalypse.
Now Someone needs to put Darkseid into his own machine. Considering how he Slaughtered our league.

@@jakealter5504 Well since Flash reset the timeline again darkseid didn't get that eternal asswhooping. Unless in this universe the timeline just continues, just without Flash. In all honesty though, the heroes deaths, and the destruction of Oa, and the mental scars they all had to bear, not to mention the likely destruction of Earth, they didnt get off too bad. They could have just moved to a different planet if need be.

There is a show called Falling Sky where a similar premise causes a lot of problems. The main troops of the invading aliens are humans that are kidnapped, taken to facilities, and transformed. In one horrifying scene they go to an abandoned factory that is now producing aliens and it’s just full screaming people being slowly turned into monsters destined to kill their loved ones until they are killed by them in turn.
After seeing this a while ago as well as apokolips war I've had a question ever since. Did they use the same process to make Paradooms? If so was it also the same race of creatures or something.... bigger?

So in justice league: war, superman was captured for a short while and they attempted to turn him into a parademon, however he was saved by batman. unfortunately, the bad guys still got pieces of clark’s dna and were able to use it to create incredibly strong “paradooms” which were shown in justice league dark: apokolips war. which is why they’re vulnerable to kryptonite. i didn’t know that paradooms also used doomsdays dna, but that would explain their name and appearance

I think it's fair to assume that once you are processed, there is nothing of you left. You're just liquefied into a slurry of molecules and then rebuilt according to a program, nothing retained. It's like taking a lump of wax, melting it, and then moulding it into something else.

I’m an adult and this scene really traumatized me. This and the new JLD Apokolips War movie really made me see Darkseid in a different light. He is one of my favorite DC villains, But in reality. Darkseid is a genocidal and dangerous beings who would kill and destroy anything or anyone for his own needs with no remorse or second thoughts.
That's the purpose of war. He attacked Earth many times and the Justice League defend and send him back to Apokolips. But then when Superman made a plan to attack and defeat Darkseid once and for all, Darkseid was like, "OH! Now it's MY turn to defend? I better buff my parademons with the DNA of the creature that nearly killed them and be prepared. Then I will enslave the ones I find useful and kill off the rest, after that, I take their resources for myself to keep.". Then he'll be like, "Hey, they came and attacked first, so I had the right to defend my property just like they did when I attack!".

In most comics and cartoons his goal is the Anti-life equation to control all free will . Technically he would let people live but as his mindless slaves. Darkseid has the technology to rewrite entire genomes and consciousness, but the heroes he took with him had to become cyborgs? The genetic modifications seem more effective to me
The Parademons and Paradooms are mindless fighters. Darkseid kept them as brainwashed cyborgs to allow them to use their powers to their full potential. Diana isn't that special in terms of her strength, her fighting experience, sword, shield and lasso make her a difficult fighter. Same thing goes for everyone else.
Of course, he probably even kept them as cyborgs because they're still recognizable as the former heroes which would demoralize the world.

Darkseid views all of existence throughout the multiverse as his rightful domain. He despises all life without exception and sees them as nothing but germs that stain what's "rightfully" his. He hates the idea of free will as he believes that **his** will is the only one that matters, with freedom and autonomy simply being a mortal illusion. As a result he feels no empathy or compassion for anything or anyone. If they cannot be used as resources then they are of no use to him, and things that are of no use to him are disposed of.
After all, why would you feel compassion and empathy for tools and germs?

The only problem I have with this is it's not as horrifying as it was in the comics. Because they're what happened was not that you were turned into a parademon but rather they literally broke you down into tiny little organic pieces and then use those to create the parademon
On today's Episode of "How fucked up is fucked up?" : That's fucked up.
Looking at this honestly seems less like a "transformation" and more of a "repurposing".

Hello there, seen the new movie yet?
I heard this was one was how Zack Syder's vision was suppose to be on how Parademons are made instead of Whedon's version where they regular life forms just give in to fear. Not in the Syder cut but his plans for JL2 and 3 which sounds like it could happen with all the tweets and support.

Hmm. Which is worse.
On one hand, you have the live-action movie where they seemed to basically burn up alive only to become Parademons, with their last moments of free will and sanity being of agonising metamorphosis.
And on the other you have this one which strips away your bodily agency and crushes you to death.
Considering how Snyder was originally planning to portray something like this in Justice League BEFORE all of the Executive Meddling from WB...
