That's the first time I've even noticed it when you mentioned it. Maybe it's an emergency valve or something so in case it gets stuck inflated you can turn it off I don't know.

Does it massage the fingers?
I ask because my finger tips are always...tingly, sometimes. It guess from working in freezer setting a lot.

What's actually going on inside the unit? Is there a rotational massage like you would rotate your thumbs in a small circular motion?
Just a comment to help u move forward. You did not tell us the MOST important thing.......... HOW does it massage? Is it an air bag that inflates or deflates? Is it a vibrating massager or the 3rd option, does it massage through mechanical gears and pressure? My God man u just said "it massages your hand" well next time tell us HOW it does it. Now I'm on to another review to find out how it works
How is the pressure around the wrist?
It feels really good and you can change the mode to adjust that pressure if it's too strong or not strong enough.
Is it vibration? Or a roll type message.

Yes there is a mode on there that rolls on your hand there's also a mode that sort of squeezes and put a little pressure on your wrist which feels really really good that's probably my favorite.

Omg I can imagine this working on my hand now! I have carpal tunnel and i rest my hands a lot because I don't want the surgery. Too afraid of how id do daily activities if i had the surgery lol .
Yeah I am on my computer a lot and have wrist pains at time. This massager does wonders.

Is it good for finger numbness
It has worked for me with some of that.
besides telling the basic functions “has a timer, is portable, takes batteries/ good this good that” i need to know detailed description of how it feels etc. is it too hard? too soft? does it actually work and massage? i have smaller hands so how does the fit / size of the device feels for your larger hands so i have an idea? not really a helpful review for others doing real research before buying you only told the basic information i knew already from reading the items description.
I only have so much time in these videos so I try to give the information most people are looking for. To answer your questions there are three different strength levels so if one is to strong then you lower it if one of the levels is to soft then you increase it. I can't tell you how it feels with small hands because I don't have small hands. I can tell there is enough room that I can position my hands where it's most comfortable for me and there are different massage modes so you can get the massage that works for you. I like high pressure especially around my wrist and there is a mode that let's me get that. If you like a rolling action on your palm and fingers you can get that too. The way everyone feels is different so I recommend you try it and if you don't like it then return it.

It does squeeze but it also kneads so you get that massage.

I don't know and I'm not a medical professional I only speak to what has helped me feel better. You need to speak with your doctor to get detailed treatment plans.
