I had to save fuel last week on the penultimate lap when we did Le Mans.
Guy behind caught up and passed me when I had a trip to the gravel, but I managed to pass him as he started coughing just before the final chicane.
Just as I passed him and was in the chicane myself I started coughing but had enough to get over the line.
It was a good learning exercise for me though.

Good to see a nice clean race, lemons all behind, although being chased down and under pressure was reminiscent
of some other race you did here! Not sure if running out of fuel is a lemon or a banana skin, but, great result!

I did that at Daytona this week. Had to turn .7 of a lap to a full lap. Luckily I build a nice cushion and spudered across the line

Well done Dave. I had a go at this series this week, and unfortunately took a massive hit on SR due to guys dive bombing on turn 1. And then had one were I made a little back, but man what a great combo so good to drive.
Great race, Dave. A bit lucky you were not fighting for 1st/2nd on the last lap as it may have ended in tears if you ran out of fuel!

Hi Dave. I'm the driver of car number 4 and the contact in the last corner of the first lap was the stupidest mistake I have made this season. I still feel sorry for Christian. I don't want to excuse myself, but my decision to go inside was based on my fear that the car behind me would try to get inside me. It was never my intention to try to overtake, but as a result I ended up side by side with him, and it was my fault for not allowing him to get ahead safely. I hope he and you are blessed with good races in the future. Thank you.

Great race Dave on a tuff circuit. Quite funny a paid setup is short on gas to complete the race.
They did a really good job of recreating the track. Very accurate. I have been to Long Beach many times. I've seen the CART & Indy Car races there.
It looks a stunning place. I'd love to visit sometime
it takes like 3 weeks to set up the track. The Paddock area is in the LB Convention Center which is th focal point of the track infield. I was helping represent a school in a booth at the race for several years.
@@erichartford6833takes alot longer then 3 weeks to set up the track. My step dad worked for city of lb and would be on ot for almost 2 months doing track prep

Really appreciate the tips on adjusting the brake bias of Cup car - it becomes a handful as the races go on. Do you have get above a 2.0 SR before the end of Week 13 to stay on an A-Class license?

At the 10:06 mark, you say to yourself "watch those downshifts", what do you mean? Be careful for locking up the rears downshifting too fast and spinning?
made the same mistake....wanted to gain some SR ..but Long beach? in 3rd round i had so many X....people used me as a brake...people blocked the whole road and so on....stopped racing till next season starts because im C with a 3.01 SR....so i only get B if i dont loose anything....thats bad about IR...if i want race GT3 i dont allowed to race...

It looks like the iRacing CDA setups have the same problems as the ACC ones. The setups are good in fast corners but terrible in slow corners. In ACC the CDA setups are atleast 0.5 to 1 secound slower as Hymo or GoSetups.
The only good i can say about CDA setups, they won't kill you when you make little mistakes. Hymo and Go setups are way less forgiving but also a lot faster when you can drive them.

Is the brake bias to fuel ratio trick applicable on other Porsches? For example the gt3/gte
Yes it's all about weight distribution. If the fuel tank is up front it'll help 👍

Dumb question likely but why don't you try to win the Porsche Cup? I don't know what your speed is compared to other racers but I know 100% that you have the consistency. Is there a reason I am not seeing?
