Your mother is so blessed to have such a lovely dear daughter and companion such a joy watching you two and mudlarking by proxy in such beautiful areas of England
You are two beautiful people inside and out! I lost my mom to a hear attack when I was age 20 , so I miss my mother so much , it does my heart so good to see the fun things that you do together. Thank you so much! Hope you both have a joyful and happy New Year! Hugs and love from the USA ! Look forward to the next video ladies!!!❤️🤗
Ericka Poppe Sorry about your mom...that must be hard even now. I recently lost my mother and even though she was very old, it’s hard. She’d been there all my life!
May I just add how fitting it is for the hostess of a channel, so rich in history, would choose to wear a Tricorn hat while relaxing. You two think of everything. Love it.
It’s nice to see for a chance no plastic or rubbish on the beech
We visited a few beaches in Whitehaven and they all had very little rubbish. We only found a few small pieces of plastic for the bin actually!
Dear lovely @@NorthernMudlarks Ladies.
Sooo nice (and definitely important too) that you pick them up for the bin.
Uuups, I totally forgot to subscribe and did it instantly after watching this great video for the second time. Seems that I am/was the 24.500th subscriber.
Best regards, luck and health.
The schools in Whitehaven have beach school classes & the children PICK up the rubbish off the beach & also we all all proud of our historic TOWN & it's history to do with the sea SO all the locals look after our beach & Also I walk across it everyday seaglass hunting & picking up all the rubbish I see 😶
I love your kitty happily snuggling on the hearth.
I am so delighted to have found this channel! Gail and Alex, you are some of the most pleasant people to spend time following: adventurous, interesting, peacefully cheery. And what a beautiful bag of treasures you came up with! I am not going to guess a number because I look forward to going out and combing for some glass myself sometime soon, over on the Oregon Coast. It's a two hour drive, but you have inspired me. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, Ladies.
The cat footage was my favorite in this video!! He makes me feel warm and festive. Loved all the scenery shots too. :) My guess is 78, ladies. Thank you for bringing joy to the world!!
I love your videos. You two ladies are so sweet and kind. And you make me feel serene. Thank you so much for all you do💗😍🇺🇸❤

Northern Mudlarks I just saw this! What if more than one person guess the right amount?
Kelly McFadden maybe they can put all right guesses into a hat
LiAhRA I thought something like that too!
Northern Mudlarks I love beach glass and have found some on the California beaches here. I watch Nicola from Tideline Mudlarks and spotted your video and decided to take a look! So I’m a new subscriber. What fun you two had! My guess for the jar of sea glass is: 50 pieces! Good luck to all who enter!!
Whenever I need a break, or to watch something that I enjoy I just turn on your channel. Does not disappoint! I love being outside. Thanks for all your hard work!
Aww, thank you! xx
Just that interaction with your mum is waooooo....then the sea glass part is the icing on the cake
The Carol of the Bells is my favourite, it has such a feeling of movement in it. Horsedrawn Sleighs dashing over snow, skating, or women with big dresses dancing. Guessing 69 pieces of sea-glass.
Your Christmas jumpers are adorable! You ladies are a joy to watch!
Well, this was such an interesting episode, but I do find it all quite fascinating! Pretty on the beach and pretty in the jar! I’ll guess 54 pieces. Thanks for taking us all along with you!
Oh WOW! Two very beautiful ladies finding fantastic items on the beach working together in harmony. 👍👌👏
Thanks a lot for making teaching recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck health and wisdom.
Merry Christmas. I believe you have at least 50 pieces of glass in the jar. Thank you for another beautiful view of the area.
Happy New year. Looks like you had lots of fun. It's nice to see such a great relationship between mother and daughter. Looking forward to more of your adventures
HELLO AGAIN YOUR MUM IS A GIFTED PERSON SHE MAKES GREAT OBJECTS FROM YOUR FINDS,,, HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE USA,,,,,,
I just came across this video recently, 21.55 reminds me of a blue obsidian sphere. I’m a big fan of crystal gems. These sea glass pieces are stunning.❤️🌺
We have so much fun watching your videos. What a wonderful mother/daughter team you are. Thank you for all the positive smiles and giggles you send out into the world. We are guessing 75 pieces of glass.
Some people used to use old spark plugs as fishing weights so are quite common find in good fishing spots 😊
Yes, cheaper than lead sinkers when you are fishing in a very rocky beach. We use chain links too. (Spain)
You really should get in to rocks. You’ve left some awesome rocks behind 😢😢😢
Ikr😨
I knoooooow!! I live somewhere where there are hardly any interesting rocks to be found, so it’s terribly tragic that all the gorgeous rocks didn’t go home with these wonderful women!
009
Actually, u r not supposed to take rocks home. If everybody would bag them, then nature will change due to corrosion and loss of wildlife habitat. Also, why destroy it instead leave it for others to enjoy. Same with wild flowers, u would not pick them but leave them for the bees and other tourists to enjoy. Same with divers, they should not take according to PADI rules anythimg from the natural environment. And so on
This is Mother's Day here in the USA and I found this video and thought I would rewatch it as a Mother's Day gift to myself. It is one of my favorites. Alex give your mom/mum a big hug from me for Mother's Day. Even though I could be her Mom. Love you girls, be safe! 🥰
Happy Christmas, your videos got me through a family Christmas, I watched you, while the family watched football,
100 pieces of glass 💛💛💛
79 pieces just love your show I found a pipe in Hastings. Mn I'll send u a photo
You two easily have become my favorite channel! Lots of history, lots of intriguing information! love how exited Alex gets over bottles, beads, and sea glass... Marry Christmas! What a wonderful Christmas present that you are giving us! Just sitting down to some nice hot (English-style) tea and your video!
This is the very best video you have done yet! Matching the music to your location and the great scenery is spot on. Love that you both are willing to try new locations together. Also, always looking out for one another is very sweet and a kind gesture. May your New year be ever so much luck to you and your shops too. Blessings. Oh and the jar contains 47 pieces of goodies? ☺️🎆🎉
Merry Christmas Alex and Gail. I've only recently found you on CZcams, and being and avid beach comber and mudlarker all my life I love how you've brought into my home on those days I can't get out. You really do cheer me up. I also find the history around it so interesting. I think there are 174 pieces of beautiful glass in the jar.

Regards Nick.
That cozy cat in front of a bright fire is so lovely!
Blugs knows where the best spot is! xx
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Your beach glass video started me watching mudlarking videos. Yours are always awesome. I won't guess because living at the beach for 20 years means I have a few jars of sea glass myself. Thank you!
It seemed you had a lovely outing! Well done...
Lovely finds my friends!!!! Love the beautiful sea glass and awesome cod bottle marbles!!!! I have never seen any glass with wire in it here in the USA😮😮 Your adventures are so awesome I love watching you ladies!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗 Merry Christmas and please have a awesome new year!!!! - Peter Ga USA
I've found it in Fort Bragg, CA and in Santa Cruz, CA. It's fun to find!
I’ve found safety glass in New Orleans, along the Mississippi.
I love hearing you guy's conversations! I wish my mother and I could hunt for sea glass like you two!
I will guess 46, just in case the chunkies made their way into jar!
You ladies are lovely, and it is such a treat to watch your enthusiasm. My guess is that there are about 117 pieces of seaglass in the jar. What an beautiful collection.
Some things, like a broken bottle neck, especially hand blown, is interesting even if its not smooth.
I love your Etsy shops!! Would love to see some of your finds incorporated into some pieces. Also, where can I find some of your hand dipped candles?! Love your videos, they’re very relaxing & fun to watch 😊❤️
Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing your mudlarking adventures with us. I'm guessing 54 pieces of seaglass. So pretty. Love your sweet fireside kitty! Cheers!
I was going to watch a movie, but found this video and it is lovely. Thank you for sharing your hunt for sea glass treasures.
Merry Christmas to my favorite Mother and daughter team. I love what you do but even more, I love your enthusiasm and energy. Mom you have come out and been so much more expressive and well, I love watching you two hunt together.
Your Mom has a great hat! What type is it may I ask?
When I was a child in grade two, I attended a Private School. We would go to a local beach and get glass and ceramic pieces, then we would make a mosaic book case. Just a little one but I have always enjoyed collecting well sanded glass bits.
Looks like Mom has a “Tilley Hat”!👍🏼❤️👋🏼🇨🇦
A beach glass comber from the Pacific Northwest says “happy days” and yea !
Me too from San Juan Islands in Puget Sound, Washington 🎊
U are blessed to have a nice daughter by your side always protecting u all the way in life and your CZcams videos are cool
Happy Christmas to my two favorite Mudlarking ladies. Love your videos so much. You make me smile and give me such great inspirations. Thank you.
I'm going to guess 104.
I'm so jealous of your mudlarking trips. The glass found here is so tiny, smaller than the smallest bits you picked up, but finding a piece of beach glass is on my bucket list. My husband is taking me to Northern California in April and I have everything crossed that I find my very own piece. I'm going to be so incredibly disappointed if I don't.
Hi Janet....on your trip to Northern California may I suggest that you stop by and see some of our beautiful Redwoods...there are some groves by Santa Cruz ....Big Basin..... enjoy!
Please put the Redwoods on your bucket list too!
PS you can also get some really nice whole Sand Dollars at the end of Geary St. In San Francisco....take your shoes off and roll up your pants...the best ones are in two feet of water! Just at the end of Geary.
good eye on that thermometer glass piece. On the stone that looked like cooked salmon, take a look at mudfossil university here on YT. Wishing you a Blessed holiday season.
My daughter went bottle digging with me yesterday. She has went with me since she could walk hunting arrow heads and dump digging. She is 28 now and my grand daughter who is 4 has been several times. I guess they're old souls like me and you and your mom. Happy holidays.
48 pieces of lovely sea glass?! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
I wish I could find sea glass that easily here in California.
Fort Bragg...and in the winter the little rocks wash up on the beach and sea glass is in there. Good luck from So. Cal.
There is glass in La Jolla, shell beach, and children’s beach- (the biggest pieces) the beaches are all close together. There is great glass in San Diego! P.S the glass isn’t super well worn but still beautiful!
just when i thought it was hopeless, just when i was ready to give up on women forever, i found out today there are still kind hearted girls out there who love long walks on the beach and love finding beautiful sea glass! faith in humanity restored!
Hope you have had a good Christmas and a happy new year to you and your mum, love your bubbly personality gorgouse and can't wait for more of your videos!
I came across your channel and have been binge watching! I love all things found on the beach and make art out of my finds.

My guess is 73. Merry Christmas to you all from Oklahoma
I'm going to guess 43 pieces. Iv never won anything. So I know I won't win it. But it's fun trying. You and ur mom are 2 of the most beautiful people. It warms my heart. Happy Holidays
Lots of finds for a cold day. Enjoyed watching. The variety of colors is amazing.
Waving hi from Colorado and the falling snow. My guess is 77 pieces! I love watching your videos. Beautiful to watch and so calming, but exciting at the same time.
Merry Christmas to the two of you! My guess is that there's 96 pieces of seaglass in that jar.
The music at the front is like the one from Royale high.
LOL it does
It’s Jan 2, 2020, and I am so happy to find your beach-combing adventures this evening...finding treasures on the beach is one of my favourite pastimes, here in Toronto, Canada.
So sweet, you and your mom, beach combing for sea glass. So special that you can do this together. It brought memories of my mom and how she loved going to the beach. We would look for sea shells and pretty rocks. It wasn't until a few years ago that I got the sea glass bug. I would be thrilled to find any of the ones you found. I'm guessing 96 pieces in that jar. Keep up the hunt, and memory making.
Loved those Victorian ink pots with the hand dipped candles😍. I live in North Carolina, USA. Is it possible to order one? Do you have an Esty Shop?
cold hands ooh! I remember those! I was digging out a square water retainer of a 16th-century monastery tailors shop it was umpteen degrees below my comfort zone and this water and mud was even colder but I was finding so many brass and even gold and silver pins I had to go on finally at the bottom lefthand corner I found a huge 40 pounds pin loaf with thousands of pins congealed into this loaf on this site I also found some 16th-century Italian glass marbles with beautiful color swirls inside them I guess dutch monasteries were very rich even the school class toys where posh!
I donated the pin loaf and 50% of the marbles to our local museum 50% of the other finds I sold and the other half I still have.
still had no time making my video for you but it is going to premiere before the end of the year or beginning of January of I have lots of old bottles lined up from 2 17th century ones to a Codd bottle and its modern Japanese version as well as the 1880s waterjug and lemonade bottle from the 1930s if all goes well I might have a taste of lemonade from the 30s prepared with 1880s water!
Looking at your beach adventures is being there too! And you got a fine way of putting the filmed fragments together with some appropriate music. Thanks again.
Merry Christmas to you, Gail and Alex! Happy new year! I love watching your videos! My guess is 87 pieces of beautiful sea glass in the jar. Have a wonderful holiday, and keep on finding!
It seems the young lady doesn't like red. Many times she passed by or returned the red pieces back to the beach.
Right
Merry Christmas from New Zealand 💞💕💜 .
My guess is 74 pieces
Hi! Congratulations at being a runner up in our competition! Please email your details to us at northernmudlarks@gmail.com for your consolation prize. Gail & Alex xx

Hi Alex... Just sharing this but
The Philippines doesn't have sea glass but if we do have sea glass its only small :P
All the little stones i would’ve taken back with me 🥺🥺🥺
I would take the whole beach
@@thegalaticalfox2354 hahaha same, and if I get thirsty I would drink the whole sea 🤣
67 pieces of sea glass! Merry Christmas and great adventures in 2020! Thank you for sharing your mudlarking expeditions with us all!
Thank you ladies for your latest film. You are lovely people. :)
Dear lovely Ladies,
Wow, what a nice Land. I love seaglas so much. I live in Munich there is no seaglas, but a lot of Bier😊and mountains.
I wish merry christmas and a happy new Year.
😏😘
Merry Christmas and thank you for taking us along on all of your adventures.
Hello ladies. Alex, the ability to change someone's mood from melancholy to cheerful with their smile and a simple hello is a rare and wonderful attribute. You and my wife share this quality. Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year to you both.
Oooh! I would guess 105 pieces of glass in your jar. It’s fascinating to see how the sea processes our trash into treasure! Living where you do, you find so much treasure as people have been manufacturing things and discarding things for centuries. We have finally moved to the ocean, but in a place where not much manufacturing waste has met the ocean. Any glass I find is still quite sharp and new, and I take it home and discard it as we have a grandchild who likes to play on the ocean shore. This town was built just in the 1960’s, so our finds are more organic in nature; rocks, shells, wood. I enjoy the gentle pace of your videos! Thank you!
I love your videos of mudlarking and beach combing. Thanks again and happy New Year!
Merry Christmas and blessings in the New Year. Just found your videos and quiet enjoy them. Thank you for taking us on your adventures.
Merry Christmas ladies! I enjoy your videos and your enthusiasm. My favorite new word is mudlarking. God bless your family have a wonderful new year.
Merry Christmas. I'm glad you're finding lots of blue Seaglass. Beautiful sun setting with the clouds. My guess is about 98 pieces of sea glass is in the jar.
