If you're under the impression that this video is in -72 fps, that's because it is. I recorded this with my crappy webcam and tried to make something out of it with my very limited editing skills. But I think the audio is decent, so there you have it: my vocal cover of the two iconic opening tracks of Nightwish's 2011 release Imaginaerum. At the end of the day it's just me singing karaoke in my room, but I wanted to put something out there that shows my "metal side" a bit more, and Nightwish is my favorite band ever.
Disclaimer, I am not a native finnish speaker (nor english speaker for that matter), so I hope that the lyrics of Taikatalvi are at least understandable. If you're finnish, please be indulgent. I took the time to really dive into the meaning of each word, so even if it's not perfect it is very sincere and heartfelt.
That being said if you're a native english speaker and think my pronunciation on Storytime is bad you are allowed to roast me ;)
I was recording backing vocals for this when the news hit that Marco Hietala is leaving Nightwish and withdrawing from the forthcoming tour. I have nothing but respect and admiration for his work with the band, so I hope this cover can channel at least 1% of his talent.

Oui je vois ce que tu veux dire quand tu parles de la qualité plus basse que le niveau de la mer, effectivement je me suis fait la même réflexion puisque le son de l'enregistrement sur lequel tu chantes est un peu bas et pas très accordé avec ce que tu fais. Cela dit tu vois j'aimais pas spécialement la chanson Storytime quand elle était chantée par la chanteuse de Nightwish mais ce que tu en fais, est franchement, à mon sens, beaucoup mieux. Je tenais à te le dire. En attendant tu auras sûrement vu que je publie également certaines choses sur ma propre chaîne. Qui ne sont pas d'une qualité d'enregistrement de tous les diables non plus, bien au contraire. Et pour des raisons évidentes. Oui. Hein.
