I've been listening to this all morning. I can't even describe how good this is. I like Anette's version but Floor made this one of my favourite Nightwish songs. I love how you can take basically any song and make it your own. Every new cover you make is my favourite song.

I think that when you reach a certain level of talent, comparisons are hard. It's more like a personal taste than an objective comparison between levels of talent. What I can say is that, from my point of view, I agree completely with the comment. I hear metal and similar from around 25 years, I heard pretty much all the worldwide known comparable voices and I can say that nothing and noone hooked me like Sara did. It's probably a personal taste, she just resonates perfectly with me and I listen a song from Ancient Bards or one of her covers pretty much daily from more than a year. Never happened before.
So, to me, she's at top spot for sure :)

Oh My WOWZERS!!! This absolutely SLAYED!!! I never thought about it but your voice is probably the best possible fit for Imaginaerum songs cos they have this child-like tone and you pull that vibe off soooooooo well! And I love what you did with the video, the colour lighting and the headbanging is gets me soo pumped. And the notes on the ending were so much WOW!!! Would have just wanted to see you try to join in with the choirs on the chorus.

Sara, to me you have the most beautiful voice in the world together with Floor Jansen. I don't know why you feel the need to overprocess it to this point...it doesn't even sound like you. It feels fake to me, and I felt the same about the Within Temptation cover. Hope to see you again soon with Ancient Bards and that these videos will bring attention to your original music 🖤

@@SaraSquadrani I think it's the voice effects and the mixing! It's not natural at all! I find those more suitable to people who are not good as you at singing and have to mask it...but maybe it's a fixation of mine. People who don't know your voice well probably won't notice. Nevertheless it's a pity for me, this way your voice loses some of its warmth and some harmonics
@@claudiabeltrame2207 I don’t know, there’s just some basic EQ, reverb and delay, very standard! Plus, it was all done by the same guy who’s been mixing my voice for the last 12 years. The only difference is that I don’t have high-end gear when recording at home. I feel like I’ve never sounded more like myself than in these covers, which I can sing with much more calm and attention as opposed to the haste given by the limited time I have in the studio for albums. Moreover, my voice isn’t really on rails, it has many facets I give different nuances to when I see fit, according to the mood and the style of the song. I really have no issues with my voice and I certainly am not trying to change it or mask it in any way 🙂
I didn't think you had any issues with your voice, I just thought that you (or the guy mixing) tried to make it sound more like Anette's. I hear a lot of (unnecessary, for my taste) autotune. Well maybe it's just these songs that don't make your voice stand out as other songs. I think the result is better with Celine Dion's, but I understand your fan base requests and your desire to meet them.
Edit: I also made my husband listen to this cover and he almost didn't recognize you. He is a big Ancient Bards fan and he was the one who made me discover your music.
@@claudiabeltrame2207 Not that Sara needs any defense but with alldue respect, i think you guys are confused. Maybe you are confuseing the layered vocals and the uncommon (for sara) range, she is using in this song for autotune. I think there is no autotune and i have been using it for years, but my main point is this , we all agree Sara is a great singer ,right ? Even if autotune was to be used it would be undetectable since she doesnt really make mistakes that would force it to sound "autotuned".

It'll sound better if u lower the autotune down. I know that u already r a good singer.
