"Leonardo" (2021) is an international co-production. Written by Frank Spotniz ("I Medici") and Steve Thompson, it first aired in Italy on March, 23 on Rai 1. The cast includes Aidan Turner, Matilde De Angelis, Freddie Highmore and Giancarlo Giannini.
I watched the first two episodes last Tuesday and I knew I had to vid about it. Some of the visuals are stunning and Matilde De Angelis is even more so 😁
This is not a couple centered video, it's not an aesthetic, it's not a teaser nor a concept: somehow it's a weird mix of all of these.
It's also the first edit I make in my first language. I added English subs but it's a rough translation based on the Italian script, the official English translation will probably be different. Anyway, if I made any mistake in the subs please let me know and I will correct it.

Watch this over a couple of days, Aiden Turner brilliant. a sort of murder Mystery and plotted over Leonardo's Life. in lockdown been watching french and spanish TV and Movies so interested in seeing Carlos Cuevas in this for a young actor he's got a lot of TV and movie credits to his name. great watching him and his acting isn't an less as he is speaking English change from so of the teen drama's he's been involved in.
He reminds me of young Rafa

Esatto, anche io ho apprezzato molto alcune cose (non a caso ci ho fatto un video 😅) ma di certo non è la mia serie preferita.

Devo dire che le prime 2 puntate cioè i primi 4 episodi, mi sono piaciuti di più, ho letto cosa ha detto Barnabei, che non credeva che una serie di cultura potesse essere così seguita, ma dice una mia amica di cultura ha ben poco. Alcuni la seguono perché avevano visto poldark, alcuni sono immersi in questa storia platonica, pura invenzione, molti sono arrabbiati perché si sta dando una immagine di ,Leonardo, del tutta sbagliata in negativo. Io su questi personaggi amo più vedere i documentari, devo dire che ho visto al cinema la vita del mio amatissimo, Giacomo Leopardi, si può dire un po' noioso il film ,ma più veritiero. Ripeto, è stato romanzato pure, La maschera di ferro, col giovanissimo ,Leonardo Di Caprio, ma tutto ha reso il film un : Capolavoro, che scenografia, attori bravissimi, alcuni pure affascinanti. È solo uno dei tanti esempi che posso fare. Comunque, la Rai ,ci ha fatto vedere pure cose meravigliose, documentari con Piero e Alberto Angela. Quanti programmi scarsissimi e antieducativi, soprattutto per i giovani propongono altre reti e nessuno critica.
In effetti il discorso è complicato... Da un lato in questa serie c'è davvero molta invenzione, dall'altra non è una novità che nelle serie storiche si cambino e si romanzino parecchie vicende, eppure sembra che sia una colpa solo qui. Onestamente non penso che Leonardo sia una serie eccelsa, non è fra le mie preferite, ma altrettanto onestamente credo che se non avessero inserito la questione dell'omosessualità non ci sarebbe stata la metà delle critiche che ci sono, e ho detto tutto. Poi io sono dell'idea che film, serie TV ecc. possano anche essere istruttive ma che il loro scopo non sia istruire bensì intrattenere, per cui ci stanno anche alcune incongruenze storiche.

I watched it on Rai1, the Italian main TV channel. It should be available on RaiPlay.it, but I don't think it has subtitles. The English version should be available on Amazon Prime Video.

Certo alcune scrivono che vedono la serie , ricordandosi poldark, care qui forse dobbiamo capire che Leonardo, andrà visto in vari stati del mondo, meritava di essere presentato meglio. Ad alcune mie amiche è sembrata monotona. Appare un Leonardo ,poco brillante, alcuni scrivono addirittura un imbranato, che elemosina lavori. Io odio i critici, mi faccio le mie opinioni, devo dire non è tra le serie o film miei preferiti, al di là del fatto che mi piace ,Turner, tra l'altro qui gestito male ,pur essendo sempre ,per carità , affascinante. Leonardo ,leggo era un tipo raffinato, elegante ,che veniva invitato per allettare. Escludendo alcune scene, per il resto mi ha delusa. Poi la storia del delitto di questa Caterina, potevano rispararmiarsela

@@nory472 How would _you_ know? You give no evidence. I've seen almost everything he's ever done on film, plus I went to see him live with the lead in the play _The Lieutenant of Inishmore_ in London a few years ago, and he was simply fabulous. He had to do everything from cry to die, plus have perfect comedic timing. He never flubbed a line that I could tell, and when he was "dead" at the end, I kept looking over at his naked upper body to see if he was breathing, and I started to worry because I couldn't see _any_ movement in his chest for at least 5 minutes, and this was after a staged fight. Anyone who can do that is a fantastic actor if you ask me. I was quite relieved when he came out for his curtain call, which was greeted with a standing ovation. And don't even get me started about his performance in _Poldark._ If you ever get a chance to see this production, I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed. He throws himself into every role and becomes the character.
So far, by the way, no one is agreeing with you. Just saying...
