I used to be a mental heath nurse and worked in an inpatient psychiatric ward for young people. We had a kid once admitted to the ward who genuinely believed he was psychotic. He seemed to be a perfectly normal kid - and a really nice one. We all liked him.
One night before he headed for bed, he opened up to me and told me how terrified he was of going to sleep, because "that's when it happens." He started describing his symptoms to me. I walked into the nurse's station, sat down at the computer, printed out the Wikipedia page for "Hypnagogia," and brought it back to him. He read it and his jaw dropped because it described what he had experienced precisely.
I think they discharged him the next day.
That poor kid literally thought his mind had completely broken. The fact that neither the Psychiatric Registrar who admitted him nor the treating team picked up on this still haunts me to this day...

It sounds fucked right? It was. I also recall something about time. eg. I 'had' to run to the front of my driveway and then to the other end of my yard (4 acres) twice, and it had to be done in less than two seconds (an impossible feat) or something horrible would happen. Fucking weird shit man.. It would last about 10-20 minutes I believe and then I'd snap out of it/go back to sleep. Only maybe once or twice I remembered glimpses of it. I even went to the doctor & specialists for it and they all pretty much said it's relatively normal and that I would grow out of it, which I did. But for real they were such horrifying experiences that I feared going to sleep! I look forward to 500 years from now when they have answers as to why that kind of shit happens to people 😅

I can tell you from experience that night terrors are 100% legit. My wife has them 3 or 4 nights each week. She wakes up in a raging panic, screaming and
trying to run from whatever she is seeing. She normally will just run through the house for a few minutes but occasionally she has gone outside. I've learned
that chasing after her only makes it worse so I keep my distance from her. It's interesting to hear Travis talk about hieroglyphics on the wall. She always sees
something on the walls but she has never been able to tell me what it is. Maybe she's seeing the same thing he is...

Travis should look into the bible for answers. Ephesians 6:12
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places".
Sleep Paralysis is a form of demonic activity. They can attack you in your sleep with bad dreams things you don't want to see.
And even while you are awake and fully conscious, they can toss ideas into your head like flaming arrows.
Of course, you have the control to act on such thoughts and or dismiss them. It's not audible voices you hear in your head. (Schizophrenia) It's as if you think these things yourself. But if you are observant in your character and behavior you can find some of the thoughts that jump into one's mind are not always from you yourself. Some things pop in there and you yourself think why I am thinking about this what the heck is going on here! Why would this negative stuff pop into my mind? I don't have any process of thinking that leads me to these negative thoughts. They just flow in unfiltered to people. These are demonic attacks.
The history of evil and witchcraft comes from Sumerian Anunnaki the fallen angels of Genesis 6. And then the same with ancient Egypt. Egyptian gods are the exact same as the Anunnaki just in a later time and different names. Those pyramids were used as places of power where they made covenants with entities and became possessed and powerful. Ironically Travis sees Hieroglyphics.
Nimrod the first world ruler and mighty hunter was evil and wicked. Descendent of Cush from Ham's line. The tower of babel and God divided the languages. Gibberish - Gil-ga-mesh. He would also be known as Sargon of Akkad.
This would possibly be Osiris as well. The story of Osiris was from an original water god (flood survivor) Osiris was cut up into pieces and the pyramids were used to summon demonic entities to bring Osiris back to life, but it would be reincarnated to Horus. Then Osiris goes to rule the underworld.

It is great to see that people start to talk about this kind of experiences.
I have gone through different kind of experiences when sleeping.
One of the many I have had since childhood.
It was 2009 I was living in a small apartment, kind of loft. I had a small kitchen and bathroom and a room where a had a small table and a bed. One night I was sleeping and dreaming and suddenly started to look dark, the situation changed. It was not placid anymore. I wad trying to wake up until I finally did...the room was dark, I was sweating, my heart beat fast..I opened my eyes and above me there was a triangle, I could see it because it was darker than the room..it was floating over me, over the bed. When I realized what I was seeing, I couldnt move, I was paralized. I started to get hyped and kept on trying to move but It was impossible. I closed my eyes and tried to move. When I opened my eyes again the triangle was not over me..I thought it was gone, I felt a realiving feeling, I still couldnt move but I could move my head slightly to the side and I realized that it was not over ..there were four conical black figures around my bed. I was able to see them because inside the room were some kind of blue electric lightings popping up in different directions.when the lightings striken I could see the shapes ...I was trying to control my breathing as I looked around..it felt like a storm inside the room, I felt water flowing, like raining. I was desperately trying to move ....I closed my eyes, I was getting tired of trying until all sudenly stopped. I opened my eyes, the room was dark, I was sweating..I could move finally, I started to look around, everything seemed normal. Until I realized that I am still hearing the water flowing..and then I realized the sound comes from the bathroom. The water was all over the floor. Over the small table I had a laptop that was connected to a cable that was on the floor( that device in which you can connect more apliences. So if I stepped down the bed I had a fair chance to get electrified. I was alone so I had to take my chance and I stepped on the floor, luckily Nothing happened, I walked to the wall and disconected the appliance. then I started to walk to the bathroom, I opened the door and I see the washing machine turned on completely full of water, overflowing water to the floor. I was shocked. I stretched out my hand to disconect it and it stopped. It was around 3 am. I couldnt believed what just happened to me..I lighted a cigar and I had to start mopping the floor with my bed blankets and towells until the morning arrived. At 7 Am I took a shower and I had to work.
This is just one of the many experiences I have had along the years.

When I lived in a haunted house a long time ago, I’d have sleep paralysis once a week. After moving, I’ve only experienced it probably once a year or so. Likely even less than that. It’s not even scary anymore if it happens. But at the old house, it was terrifying.
Some people don’t believe in haunted houses or whatever, but this place was terribly evil. Everyone who lived in the house eventually came down with cancer... except for my family (thank God), although my whole family did suffer other serious injuries/illnesses, including myself... I formed white matter lesions in my brain and was diagnosed with MS for a short period of time until proper follow-up and monitoring and was able to retract that diagnosis as my lesions were just... some weird fluke event I guess? Mom had a random seizure, she doesn’t experience seizures EVER... never had one before nor again... & Dad hurt himself at work.. Anyways... we had things turn off and on when they weren’t plugged in, no charge, no batteries. Would babysit my friends animals sometimes and they would trip TF out and bark at nothing. It was ALWAYS freezing cold, no matter what. Especially in my bedroom. Got some pictures of whatever was in that house, looked like it was wearing a robe with a light-colored face and these angry dark-circled eyes. I’ve heard my name whispered a couple times, and one day was home alone, heard my Mom walk through the door, and say “Sam! Son??” - answered, and didn’t hear a response... called my Mom and asked if she was home or something and Mom said she was still at the grocery store. Was home alone once which was always the worst... but one day, my piano/keyboard in my music room turned on FULL VOLUME and went straight to Demo Mode which was this really all-over-the-place jazz type song... loud, chord changes everywhere... it was creepy AF. I rushed into the room and turned it off. Upon further inspection, the keyboard was unplugged. I checked if there were batteries in it, and nope - no batteries. When my Mom had her seizure she fell backwards and split her head open... my Dad, girlfriend, and I all went to the Hospital with Mom. Once we were situated, my Dad had to go home to clean up and stuff... so my girlfriend and I were there with my Mom... anyways, I get a call from my Dad and answer. Welp, there’s this strange muffled, grumbly, airy type voice that’s speaking in some kind of weird Latin sounding language. I speak a bit of Spanish and I KNOW it wasn’t Spanish. Ish sounded ancient no joke. Well, after 5 minutes of listening to this voice on speakerphone with my gf, we tripped out and hung up. Anyways, My Dad called me again so I answered and thankfully it was really him this time... creepiest part? He asked if I called. I was like WHAT? No! You called me! & he said are you serious??? You called me! Lol. I swore to him I didn’t... he said he was so worried because there was some strange voice speaking in another language to him. Me and my girlfriend Jen’s blood ran COLD at that moment. Yikes. Anyways, I recorded this voice on my studio computer because my Dad actually received a voicemail from this same voice shortly after... but many months later that hard drive failed. I got the hard drive repaired and everything was intact, but that particular session file was missing.
Seriously y’all, it was the most terrifying time of my life. The stuff is realer than real. I’ve never played with any Oujia Boards in my life or anything. The house though... it was just evil. My Mom’s friend Spencer actually lived there before we moved into that place... I guess he used to have problems with his girlfriend. Like they would have serious screaming matches that would end up in the front yard and whatnot. I guess he said they used to be fine and in love but when they moved there everything went South... so he would joke about it when talking to my Mom at the family business and say “Sheesh, I remember when I used to live with Satan”. We always thought he was joking and calling his ex girlfriend Satan... but now we know what he really meant. He just never made things obvious because back in the day people were more closed minded to the paranormal and would ridicule.
Anyways, super long comment here! My bad. The whole topic of sleep paralysis / night terrors just brought me back though. Those are absolutely the worst. Just wanted to share my story! It’s normal to have them once in a while but honestly I think it’s something to get checked out medically AND spiritually if you’re getting them on a regular basis like I was. Take care of yourselves and I hope everyone can find some entertainment in my experiences at the my old house... literally the most positive way I can look at my life in that place is the fact that I have such great true horror stories to share 😂👍🏼 God bless y’all!

I’m a semi skeptic in the paranormal but for some reason I’m compelled to believe you…
I personally have had some experiences that’ve challenged my skepticism though. Just in case you do read this I’ll do my best to keep this semi short.
I guess firstly it should be noted that I’m from Virginia, just outside of Richmond, and there is one big civil war battlegrounds near me but if you know your history…Virginia saw a lot of battle. Around 2007 my aunt and uncle live in a big two floor house in pretty affluent neighborhood and one summer we were cleaning out her attic and my little cousin points and asked her “Mom, who are those people that live in the corner over there?” Everyone tries to play it off as the ramblings of a 4 year old but we all kind of could tell she seemed genuinely scared when she asked.
Months later, my mom and I were back at my aunts and my mom was helping sew clothes. The three of us are the only ones there and we’re in a back room with the door open that leads into a long hallway then to the kitchen. I looked out the door and at the end of the hall a man in a grey civil war outfit walks by and as soon as I gasp my aunt yells out “OH MY GOD, DID YOU JUST FUCKING SEE THAT!” All three of us saw the same thing…
She also had another house before that which was a fixer upper, this story also happened before cellphones which makes it weirder.
One night of the first week she was moving in she was painting the living room late at night ,and since no cellphones yet, the land lines were dangling out of wall NOT plugged into anything... At around 11:00 at night she hears loud knocking on the front door and it’s the police. The moment she opened the door the lead officer puts his foot through the threshold so it can’t be closed and both of them have their hand on their holster. The lead officer asks her if she’s alright and she actually laughed at them and explained how she’s the only one there and just painting the walls. He then asks if they can come in and search the place and she lets them just kinda laughing about everything. In the end the lead officer admitted he thought she was saying those things under duress because dispatch had gotten three 911 hang up calls from this house…BUT he even pointed out that the phone lines were dangling out of the wall and said “Ma’am it seems like you might have yourself a ghost.”
TL,DR: I believe your story. Shared mine about a civil war apparition multiple people saw, and another that ends with a cop even suggesting that we might have a ghost.

back in 2007 - 2008 time, an industry friend stayed with Travis for a week at the compound and came back with wild and crazy stories of Travis's night terrors. Once he would fully wake up, he would blink his eyes, look around and then giggle and say "oh dude, sorry. hahaha, go back to sleep". And the next day he would act like it was absolutely no big deal. When I was really young, about 5 or 6 I used to sleep walk out of my house and sleep on our doormat almost nightly. As I turned about 8 I started having terrible night terrors where I would hallucinate, I'd wake up but there would always be this monster behind me, I would run and scream. One time while camping it must have lasted near 10 minutes, to make things worse my dad would chase after me to try and grab me and calm me down but it would just induce more panic. I stopped having those at around puberty and now I just talk in my sleep.

I agree with what he is saying about it being different than sleep paralysis and also apparently different than night terrors. I had the sleep paralysis and night terrors when I was young and theyre definitely different. I only had 3 that I recall, but it really is like you are awake and asleep at the same time because one I had I was in my room alone on top bunk of a bunk bed and when I woke up there was a man standing at the end of the bed looking at me but I could only see half his face, I was scared and didnt move for like 10-15 seconds and than started to climb down the ladder while never unlocking eyes from this man but in my peripherals I could see that I was essentially awake because the room was exactly the same except for the man at the end of the bed and I physically interacted with my door. After I got down I walked backwards to my door on the far corner from where the man was standing and when I was leaving he turned his head to look at me and I booked went downstairs to get my mom. We came back up not 30 seconds later and at no point did I wake up more or snap out of anything, but when I came up he was gone and we searched the room and the rest of the upstairs and no one was there plus no one could have physically been there because my dad was awake in the next room. It really is strange, I also had one in the same bed with my room being the same but I sat up and looked down at my hands and spiders and insects were crawling all over with blood all over my hands and its just wild. I slept walked a few times outside of that but that I have no memory of. Any time I had these I remember and it was only the two times except the one where it was more sleep paralysis and lasted all night and I was on a never ending water slide and I remember my mom being right there with me in person and hearing her but I couldn't snap out or get off the water slide. Shit's weird and burned in my mind to this day and thankfully havent had any since those and those were like 15+ years ago bc I am 25 now

The affects range from, me punching out a glass window, running through a firepit with glass and ash, breaking my wrist jumping off a 10 foot loft bed. Sometimes I still see the writing but its very rare and I've never been able to make sense of it.. Utterly terrifying for him and us (not that he could remember them) Would happen every night almost exactly an hour after he fell asleep. He would sleepwalk through the house and we'd settle him back to bed before the freaking out would begin; sometimes lasting 20mins totally inconsolable screaming crying etc. Nothing you can do about it, but keep them safe. Trying to wake him up just intensified it; was better to get quietly console him and just let him ride it out. He also described kaleidoscope/ infinite-mirror vision.

I never saw anything (maybe because I don’t believe in anything paranormal?) but it freaked me out the first couple times because I didn’t know how to wake myself up. I got so used to it that I would wake up paralyzed and be like “godamnit” in my head and would wake up in one try. The trick is almost fall back asleep and then really force yourself too move. I've had sleep paralysis with hallucinations for the past 5 years or so. It hasn't been as bad in the last few years as I've learned to manage stress better. I've also learned not to go to sleep on my back because that when it's most prone to happen. The first time it happened was probably the most scared I've ever been in my whole life because I had no idea what was going on. All I knew was that I was (partially) awake but couldn't move and there was an entity of pure evil in my bedroom moving towards me. The only function I had control over was my breathing so I started hyperventilating loud enough to wake my wife so she could stir me the rest of the way awake. Since then I've learned to recognize when it's coming on so I can move around before I get stun locked.

This is such a great story I wish he just covered his room in sharpie hieroglyphics that would be so freaking interesting to investigate. Just unexplained full on mystical poems that make complete sense and baffles the scientific community.

worst part about sleep paralysis is when they is something with you in the room you know in ur head it's not real but like it is I've always thought you go into a different dimension

Seems this happens to a lot of people I found a few articles online of others seeing writing on walls it seems the common theme is seeing bright orange red , yellow or green writing and symbols in the form of phonecian, hieroglyphic or sometimes just geometric patterns on the wall covering almost everything in the room and the articles also mentioned that it would disappear when they tried to examine it. I found an article on a website called " psychic-junkie seeing writing on the wall " that had many story's of people experiencing this.
we definitely live in a world with many unexplained things. People will define a personal phenomenon and decide its a disorder when it potentially could be very important for our understanding of what is truly going on in the life were all experiencing.
also the new moonknight series on disney plus the first episode at the end at about 40 mins you can see hieroglyphs showing up on the walls around him where there was none before.

What Travis is experiencing is called hyponopompic hallucinations. It has been studied, and is very common. There is nothing special, or extra-sensory about it.

I don’t know if it’s the pressure or oxygen content, but I commonly “sleep walk” on planes. I don’t get up or anything, I just do normal things like eat my in flight meal and read a magazine but I have no recollection of it. I wake up with a magazine in my lap and peanuts in my teeth.
