    Had we known you were doing a lift comparison, I would have kept my black FX4 there longer so we could have done BDS v. RC v. ReadyLift. That would have been rare to have all three of those brands side by side in DFW. Great meeting you both.

    For the angles you also have to remember you originally had a 6 inch kit and added 7 1/2 lift coil overs. When you buy a 6 inch kit the crossmembers and diff drop brackets are only meant to bring them down the 6”. If you were to get the full 7 1/2 kit, the angles would be better. But tbh yours aren’t as bad as others I’ve seen.

    2 year old video, but i wanted to add that Installed a 3in BDS lift on my 2015 ram 3500 mega cab with duel rated springs and it drove better than stock. It was within 1in from being to hi to fit in the car wash and parking garage. The truck drove like a Cadillac.
    Great video bro much love

    The lifted struts are good to, when you’ve got spacers on top of your old struts they will ride rough

    I have a 6" RC knuckle lift with the diff drops on my 2017 Silverado 1500 all my angles are just as stock! I've had mine for over a year now and not an issue. I just come from a 500+ mile trip running 90 mph at times no shimmy or shakes and runs straight down thw road. I also do some off roading nothing crazy still no issues. Soon to replace my spacers with the Vertex coilovers

  • @petelanzone484
    @petelanzone484 Před 2 lety +1

    Hey Q! You are correct Vertex are not rebuildable. And FOX recommends a rebuild every 50K. Or every 10K if a lot of rugged off-roading is going on. And I think I mentioned before the FOX ride smooooth. However Vertex does as well and at that price point! Its all based on budget and what you plan to do...:) For me - I still like to use my truck as a truck but still look nice. Thus why I didn't go to 37's and sticking with 35's. As putting things in and out of the bed can be a challenge that high.

    Both those cv angles are crazy. I've had a 6 inch rough country lift on my 13 ram for over 4 years now and the diff drop that came with it practically made my cv's straight as factory form. Maybe each brand differs.

    I've got an 09 Dodge Dakota V8 4x4 with Rough Country N3's on all 4 corners. 3" blocks in the rear & a ram1500 knuckle & brake swap up front. It was night and day difference. CV axels are straight now & my UCAs sit level too. Rough Country has really come along way. I'd definitely get another set if needed / if I get a different truck. Great video!

    @steelblujk Před rokem

    Vertex shocks are adjustable 1-8 , the higher you go the stiffer the ride and less body roll. Q, you need to turn your adjustment up to 4 or 5 to not feel body roll. 1 is for off-road, 8 is for going fast

I took my truck up their for the first time I have a 2020 ford f150 lariat 8inch with the vertex shock front and back I had them set 3 in front and 2 in back and damn It rode horrible for the small piece of highway very bumpy could barely control the truck . I thought i heard you say the vertex coilovers gave you a extra inch in the front to clear 37’s equaling 7 inch of total lift from a 6 inch rough country lift kit, maybe i could be wrong but that could be why the cv axles are a little off. When you install the lift kit the front differential is lowered 6 inches with RC front and rear cross members to achieve stock angles since the front differential has to sit lower to achieve lift. if I’m not mistaken lifting it over 6 even an inch will mess with angles. Could be wrong let me know

      cheaper for many reasons. I had a Zone 6 inch lift on my 2016. Its a very basic lift. Not even comparable to BDS. Cheaper for a reason. That being said I didnt have any issue with running the Zone lift for what I was using the truck for.

    I've watched this video several times now, and I keep coming back to reference the information you talk about. I just had a 3" Rough Country Vertex coil over w/ N3's put on my truck. Love the way it looks about turned out, but you can definitely tell the difference between stock and the ride with the lift added. With that, plan to correct the angles on my CV axel's next and upgrade to the Vertex rear revisor shocks due to the rear suspension riding a lot stiffer with the N3's.

    In a chevy guy . Can't really find a lift kit bigger than a 6.5 for a Ford F-150 . I got to have them 14 wides on 37s . Don't recommend leveling kits stacked on your lift kit or cranking up coilovers

Also, I drive with my MPG gauge up to keep me in check. Try this to increase your MPG. Reset the MPG gauge after you fill up and get on the highway with the cruise control at 55 MPH for a few miles. Now try to keep that MPG at what it records or try to increase that amount. It may be hard but you will have to change your driving habits. Good Luck!! 😂😂😂

      Like over time shocks may start leaking oil , hoses break , lack if lubricant can cause damage internally to the shock etc . Fox can be repaired and “rebuilt”/ repaired. Apparently the rough country can’t be you’d just have to replace them.

      That’s because they are just spacer block lift kits. The FTS actually has an option to add coilovers which raises its price to a similar price range as BDS. Any kit that has coilovers is going to be substantially more expensive than a spacer block lift.
