Yes some trans people have detransitioned, but it doesn't mean she doesn't know who she really is. I am going based on THIS interview alone, not really familiar with the backstory. Did she, somewhere along the line, say she doesn't love her child? Did she say that if her child goes through with the transition she will disown her child? Love does not mean you always agree with choices of another, it means that even when you don't understand, you love them anyway - doesn't mean you just change pronouns upon request. Now you can say she doesn't have understand or is reluctant to accept her child's choices, but you can't automatically assume she doesn't love her child. She doesn't have to go along to get along as a parent, she just has to be there when her child needs direction and love. So if Jay comes to her mom for comfort and her mom calls her "he", is she less of a mom because while comforting her child, she rejects the preferred pronoun? That's BS.

However Jason mentioned his mother first so I don’t think Angela was insulting her. Jason does have a bad habit of trash talking and I think as a host he went pretty low at the end. I don’t think either party wanted to understand or even listen really.

As a mother with no objections to the next persons identity preferences, I have to agree with Angela. I love my son enough to tell him you are not a girl. If he grows into an adult and decides he wants to be referred to as a woman, I would not stand in the way of that but there’s no way someone who is not ME can make me call my son a woman. I also agree that it’s disrespectful for them (especially Blue) to insist on referring to her son as “your daughter” when it’s clearly bothering her. Why add fuel to the fire?? It’s just a matter of diffusion.

I took issue with Blue calling the mother out of her name. She came for my head, spoke over me and accused me of attention seeking when voicing my opinion on her 30 person live??? She twisted my words and intention much like she did to Angela. Angela clearly stated that she loves and accepts her child but Blue was pushing her agenda down this mothers throat. I really don’t understand. It’s as if she was trying to argue that she loves the woman’s child more than the child’s own mother. I’m really struggling to understand where the disconnect is here. No one should ever come between mother and child. Much less some television personality that could give two shits about the life of the child for real. At the end of the day, this should have remained between mother and child not for public consumption nor debate. I find it disgusting as a mother. I’m hard-pressed to believe that the child would appreciate the way Blue spoke to his mother. Miss Stanton spoke 100% TRUTH!!! It was very disrespectful of Jason to say Miss Stanton is "Miss gendering her daughter", she knows who she gave birth to and it was a son not a daughter. If people want to live a lie, be man or a woman enough to own up to that lie, and just go about your business living your life as a lie but don't expect your mama (the woman who gave birth to you & named you) to accept that lie and be ok with it. They were trying to make her into a monster. Miss Stanton never called Jason's mother a Dumb Crackhead Hoe, she was trying to give an example through an analogy and she said "if your mother wanted to be called a Dumb Crackhead Hoe, would you call her that?", which really gave him the opportunity to honor & respect his mother by saying no he would not call her that. Jason took it to another level and he didn't allow her to finish her analogy and he tried to twist it to say that she called his mother that, which she didn't. Miss Angela Stanton ate them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If I were in her shoes, I probably wouldn't have exited the show like that but how she exited, is exactly what that show and the host deserved.

It's really scary how every interview she does they are trying to tell her how she should feel. Clearly she feels how she feels and just like they want her to respect their points of view they need to also understand she has a point of view and maybe understand that there might be a middle ground. Most of my generation had parents and grandparents that would not understand anything about transgender or any of that. Things which is more taboo back then. we can't expect that everyone is going to agree with everything.
