    Awesome breakdown comparison. As non biased and owning both in 2 seaters I can say if I had to go r seater hands down back to the turbo S. 2 seater wise x3 is more in line and many prefer low down position.
    My biggest thing that I miss on the s is 7 inch command system. It's a luxury as you pay thru nose for it, but it lines up with dynamix which you pay for also.
    4 seater Turbo S all the way.
    No lie I always miss the S.

    Not to be a hater and compare opinions to opinions, but when you look at real world comparisons the top 5 finishes at king of the hammers where can am x3's leaving polaris in the dust.on top of that the x3 took first at the dakar rally offroad race.

    I originally had plans of buying the can am until the turbo S came out. I bought the turbo S 4. love everything about it. I have driving both machines Can-Am and Turbo s so glad that I got the turbo s. My opinion the only thing the Can-Am has better is the motor. If you want to build a race machine sure Can-Am. But all around machine turbo S. And it doesn’t take much to make a turbo s fast. And no matter which machine you have there will always be somebody faster.

    I don’t have either and am by no means a UTV person (thought I would love to get one soon). But why does it always look like a RZR is ready to tip over when cornering hard and the X3 looks lowslung and planted. It makes me lean towards the X3 just beccause of that, nevermind the extra power and that I rented one last year and loved it!

    I think seating position/sight lines of the RZR created it's weakness, a higher center of gravity making it more tippy in the corners. Seems as though the Dynamix suspension was a good add for Polaris to combat this. I am a tech guy, but the ride command doesn't really appeal to me. I am all about performance and simplicity when it comes to my off road vehicles. I have a highly built Can Am Maverick X3 RS Turbo R, I loved everything about it except the site lines, I'm 5'9" and couldn't see over the dunes I was cresting. I added the 1.5" risers to the seats and that helped a bunch. I mostly ride dunes with the Can Am, trails are for my Wildcat. I just love that the manufacturers are pushing each other to create higher performance rides. I'm not a fanboy of any brand, I buy what suits me.

      @DerangedOffRoad  Před 4 lety +2

    Don't forget about ease of maintenance. An oil change on an X3 will be a mess and will leave you cut and bruised while the same work on a Polaris is not even a 1 beer job.

    • @uazbuchanka2206
      @uazbuchanka2206 Před 4 lety +2

    In Jan I bought a new S4 Turbo, and everything you mentioned is pretty much why I choose the S4. I have nothing bad to say about the Can Am models. I also like the factory 32" tires and the extra ground clearance. Bought the 4 seater for the longer wheelbase knowing it would ride better in whoops, and plan on running some Baja trips with my adult son and the extra length would help with storing gear. The Dynamix system works great and I'm switching from Comfort and Sport all the time as our speed and terrain changes. I will say this...The 2 seat version of the Can Am looks AWESOME!...Thanks and I did hit the SUBSCRIBE button!

    No way I just split my trans cases and installed a three stage gear reduction on a 19’xpt4 32’s from 29’s so much low end control it’s a 38% and still rev limit at 69-70mph. I prefer rock crawl and it’s fits and turns better in the right turns even on the four seat. The x3 IDK lol into the front ends. Rzr cage goes out to the front of the car instead of having large groups of plastic hang off. Idk they are awesome still. Rzr for me needs 1/2”-1” raise in the driver seat and an inch back. 6-1” but can still do 100mile rides and feel okay. The rzr feels more put together as they age and loosen up. Can frame is way stronger.

    I moved to St George from TX a year ago with the intent to ride off road. When the Turbo S came out I bought the 4 seater version also, for many of the reasons you list. Dynamix suspension was a big reason, as was the shorter length. But I use the GPS the most, I am not from here and that saves my bacon on every ride in the Southern UT area. We've put 3600 miles on ours in a year with zero problems. It's a great all around machine. I love what the 2020 Pro model brings to the table (except it's looks). Will be tempted to upgrade when they release an S model of that.

    Greetz from far away, from germany.
    My fav 4-seater sounds Can Am Maverick X3 Max.
    More goodies and upgrades available, very good dealership here in germany.
    And for me it's very important, the Can Am available here in germany with a licensed title for driving onroad (...to the beach, into the city to work and so on).
    I respect the choice of any other peep out there to pick up his fav 4-seater for his own.
    But told to buy a Polaris first, the oilchange take time like drink a beer and the Can Am not while waste time on it (to change oil and waste time).
    Thats points of low rated brainheads.
    Maverick's won the Hammer and Paris-Dakar and many other races out there, that show of the quality of this "time waste oil changing"-Can Am🤦‍♂️!
    Over 85% of Polaris or Can Am user/driver never in need to handle his own sxs like a professionell out there but talking like a big named prof. racer.

    So where does your Talon X4 Live Valve sit in all of this? I am a big fan for the Talon x4 but after watching your video I'm still on the fence, Honda or Talon. My riding once I get to AZ will be desert trails, my concern is CVT belt breaking when I'm out with the family which is my wife and from time to time our adult daughter when she is with us. I definitely want a 4 seat ride but I'm still torn. Keep sharing...

    • @DerangedOffRoad
      @DerangedOffRoad  Před 4 lety +2

      The biggest reasons why I went with the Talon are 1. Their reputation for reliability. 2. Seating position for rear passengers. 3. DCT over belt. Power was not a concern for me for a couple reasons. First, I intend to have my family with me on most rides. When my family is in the rig, I can't imagine a situation where I would NEED 195 hp. Second, I came from a 75 hp machine so 104 is an upgrade. I'm only 200 miles in and so far I LOVE the Talon.
      PS- If/When I get a 2 seater, I'll lean HEAVILY toward a Turbo. -Joe

    when it comes to strength there is no comparison. The turbo S is stronger in every way. There is absolutely nothing on the Can-Am that is stronger. The only thing that can I am has going for them is the motor. When you really want to compare motors you are talking 3 cylinders versus 2. The horsepower difference is not that impressive considering They have an extra cylinder. Don’t get me wrong I’m not a hater against Can am. Just do you research people. Don’t just compare the horsepower difference. The turbo S it’s just an all-around better machine.

  • @nathanharambe5521
    @nathanharambe5521 Před 3 lety

    Just to clarify the power doesn't matter when you dont have the ground clearence, suspension travel, or center of gravity to use that power. I can garentee you in some nasty shit a poalris could go 15 mph faster than a can am because its suspension design just allows it to do so. The turbo s is like a race buggy, and the can am is like an offroad limo.
