- I'm so excited to be one of the first to hold the new Shoei X-SPR PRO racing helmet! In this review I'll take you through the main features and improvements of this new helmet when compared to its predecessor (the X-Spirit III). As you would expect, this new full face motorcycle helmet is made from Shoei's signature AIM+ material and it comes in 4 different shell sizes. The helmet is ECE 22.06 and FIM certified.
6 fibre layers. Like every Shoei helmet, the X-SPR PRO (X-Spirit Pro) has an Advanced Integrated Matrix outer shell. In this case they have used 6 layers of different fibre for the outer shell, named AIM+. Every layer has its own function. The fibres are specially designed by Shoei, meaning AIM+ is homemade by Shoei.
Tilt ability. This premium race helmet’s interior deserves some special attention. Thanks to the fact that the inner lining is adjustable, you can tilt the position of the helmet up to 4 degrees on your head. This allows you to adjust the helmet to your liking. This is especially handy for a bumpy circuit, or if you’re switching from the circuit to sport touring on the public roads.

I literally just bought an X-14/X-Spirit III this week. This ALWAYS happens to me ☠☠

spirit 3 is great helmet!
If you’re riding more on the streets, the X-14 would be less annoying. For racing, this new helmet has improved safety - visor attachment mechanism, base plate locking etc. But the new visor (unlike the x14) has no de-fogging detents.
This one or the Arai RX7-V Evo? I ride more track than road.
Will the x 14 viser fit this new model?
It will not. Totally new visor design.
Can't wait for these to come to the US

Hmm it’s still a touch lighter than the RPHA 1. For some reason a medium RPHA 1 in gloss white is 1500 grams while matte black & graphic is 1450
Must be the weight of the clear coat.
