One clarification. Not all the Stealth rubber is made the same 😅 They have different compounds within the same name. The Trailcross have Stealth Phantom (65a durometer, the lower the stickier) almost the best you can find in approach/mountain bike shoes. The Stealth S1 (64a durometer) in their old approach shoes (Access or Tennies series) felt very similar. The Stealth C4 though felt way less sticky (76), my Terrex Voyager DLX I think had that version too. For extreme conditions (climbing waterfalls, very polished wet rocks) there was a clear difference for me between the two. Vibram Idrogrip might be better than C4. Nothing better than the Stealth Phantom or S1 that I have ever tested. Apologies for the loooong explanation. I agree that this is a great water adventure shoe if you are OK with the stiff midsole.

Hey Jesse I just bought these shoes for me and the wife for our camping trip to rock creek in plumas national Forrest. I’m looking for similar shoes for our seven year old daughter. Too bad adidas doesn’t make them in her size. A you please recommend a comparable shoe for kids? I was looking at Columbia OmniGrip. Any insight from the King would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, Jesse, that's American business for you: if it sells well, discontinue it, lol, and I cannot stop laughing. No, I have seen this before and I cannot figure it out; it makes no sense to me. I spent an hour looking for that Adidas shoe you suggested last year or so. Not available or sold out. So yeah folks, if this is the shoe for you and your adventures, buy it now...before it is disontinuted due to interest and popular demand. Best of good things to you and Sam as always. Love you guys.

Ah OK. I just got a pair of these based of this review because they seem perfect. Going to take them on a 2 week alpine creeking trip running class 4/5 in Europe so I'll drop a comment on how they hold up. Astrals are fashionable in the whitewater world but since they don't come with stealth rubber anymore the grip has decreased a lot and they generally fall apart way too quickly in my opinion. I used the Adidas Terrex Voyagers before but I found the same issues as you with the Upper being way too fragile
