Freddie was so different, so creative. He did'nt go by the guidelines of society, he thought for himself. He did things the way he wanted to do them. Everything he did was so fresh and new. He stepped to his own beat and kept to his own rhythm. "He kept it real". We've never seen anything like him and probably never will.

Freddie lived his dreams, and Barcelona was his dream with his idol, Montserrat Caballe.. He lived a life-time in his short 45 full years. What powerful voices..One of my all-time favourites..Always 100%...His last few songs were so powerful, just the best, even though he was ill..The freedom finally, to just let go and sing, is clearly heard in his last songs he sang.. My all time favourites, In My Defence and Barcelona..Thank-you Freddie..You will never be forgotten, your music, eternal...April, 2021..and my grandchildren are now carrying Queen into their generation....Awesome!

I loved Barcelona from the moment I first heard. But I now have an even greater appreciation for it. I never stopped to think about how difficult and challenging it must have been to write something that would work as a duet for a rock star and a operatic soprano.

Freddie and Monserrat were an amazing, special and beautiful singers... they definitely did something absolutely outstanding for their Epoche and time .... they build a bridge between different style music, that’s never been done before.
I always think they don’t have enough recognition for this innovation beyond the boundaries
