This is the first time I’ve ever heard Sean Kingston’s speaking voice
Yes
Fr💀
Same
Me too. I thought he'd sound Jamaican
@@riverbanzachamploo9725 he was born in Miami and then moved to Jamaica when he was 6. So therefore he’s American and that’s why he doesn’t have a Jamaican accent like I assume his parents does
The way he's gassing himself up has me dying. Keep doing you, king! 😆
If he don't do it who will 😂
Amaericans.
@@xolelaniapril5257 hes not american
@@xolelaniapril5257nah youre just the typical american hater
I found it to be hilarious too! 😂
We in the Philippines be singing "SUWISAYDO" over and over without realising it's suicidal
I just find out its suicidal😭😭
that's frickin awesome! lol.
@@aaronstatzer4570 yeah it's hilarious and mind-blowing part of our childhood lives the moment we realize that the original lyric is "suicidal" 🤣🤣
😅😅😅
😂
This is him talking to the detectives right now
😅
😂😂😂😂😂you crazy
Ofn
It was a hit because of the sample and because of the catchy hook. Despite the hook being very strange 🤣
I thought the same thing. I never focused on him saying "suicidal."
Y’all trippin lol we all had that puppy love that made us “suicidal” that’s why when this came it out it stormed and til this day it’s a hit and ofc bc of mr B king beat but still nonetheless a American classic I would say 🤷🏽♂️
@@goodfellas4927 *Uncle Phil we gif
@@goodfellas4927 lol yeah that song is mad relatable after a toxic relationship with a hot chick 😅..
@@goodfellas4927 American classic??? Sean Kingston is Jamaican lol…
it was popular because the music that played in the background: "Stand by Me" was already a hit from another musician.
Plus Disney played this song like crazy 😂
I'm pretty sure you don't have to introduce anyone to that song 😂
Exactly….. but he acting like he invented the wheel and shyt 😭😭😭
He honestly explained it so well and to turn something so dark into a meanin of beauty and love is nothing short of spectacular.
Characteristics of a true artist.
Thank you Sean Kingston!!
No man Marvin Gaye stand by me.
The song is pretty relatable after a bad relationship with a hot chick 😅.
frr LMFAO
Truth. don’t know if I’m tryna vibe with it or sing along with such hurt in my voice
It be like that fr 🤣
Cause you a certified SIMP
Lol 😭
I remember having this song on play on my psp, times were wonderful back then
I used to take my psp bumpin to my music in elementary school. You wasn't the only one😆✊🏿
Damn actually agree with Mr Sean, it did edge it up
I was 10 years old in Puerto Rico this song was poppin
That song is damn near perfect.
The use of sampling Stand By Me makes it memorable and enjoyable but the use of the word suicidal creates a stronger emotional connection to the listener, which is what catches your attention in the first place.
Nostalgia. Music is a light in our memory. This song put my days in childhood a vivid experience to me now
Bruh living like it’s 2007
The fact that this song gives vibes of old times
Love him and wish he would make some more songs man
Lonely-akon it just hits different
Specially when you learn that song's co-producer, Disco D, took his own life a few years after.
@@maffieduran😭😭
It was a beautiful song many of Sean Kingston’s are good
Yes
He made history!!!
It's true. It hurts so much when they leave you.
That’s my favorite song I listen too it every day❤❤❤
Oh damn, really..?
This and Kiss me through the phone fire 🔥
kiss me through the phone is soulja boy homie
See I just played it the other day and realized it said suicidal. I heard "you left me in denial" and another one I misheard was "they only wanna do you dirt" I heard "the only one that you deserve."
What I loved was the first part of the rap. The love song in it was amazing. And then at the end 99 part was great
But I'm a sucker for songs that tell a story instead of repeating itself. 😹 If he did more of that id be a bigger fan but as you can see I can't understand a word he says so haven't heard any new things since this.
Was a hit for sure!
I still listen to this song today crazy how long its been and how much has changed since then
Favorite song from 2000: Special ed - Neva Go Back

Bro this song is straight 🔥 and my favorite 2000's song is Colt 45.
He’s right I remember ppl being like “I can’t believe he said that” 😂 we thought it was funny af
Truly was a great song. 13 year old me was hooked
First time I heard this song was magical
Remember when they made a version changing for example "suicidal" into "in denial"?
That's Disney and Nick versions
beautiful girl is my favorite song ever more than anysong
Real talk. Groundbreaking. 😊❤
Yassss
Beautiful girls yaa❤
That song is the definition of PERFECTO
And you know sampling Ben e King doesnt hurt either
We need more music from him!!
Growing up with his songs❤. Nostalgia😢
Nahh it was a hit because of Stand By Me's sampling and chord progression. That definitely guarantees you a huge hit in any time of history.
nah
@@zpt7093 yeah, it does. Its a simple but catchy melodic bass riff. Plus some arrangements added to the song, but it didnt become a hit by using a controversial word.
@@madden7732 so you can sample a song and it'll be a hit? If that's all it took we'd all do it 😂
@@zpt7093 if its catchy one it surely will. It has happened a lot of times in music history. A other example is Ice Ice Baby sampling Under Pressure from Queen and David Bowie. The bass line was catchy enough plus the chorus sticks in your head. So yeah, it basically was like that. The chord progression of this song (both Stand By Me and Beautiful Girls) is a very melodic, simple and catchy one that does assure you a success, its easily accesible for every listener. Tho after this one I dont think anyone will think of using it again, at least for a veeeeeery long time
I can agree w you partially.
Heavy on the partially simply because yes the older folks may have liked it because of the sampling BUT the little kids that flipped over this song def wasn't because of a song waaaaaaay before their time
