Victor McLaglen's last appearance was in an episode of Rawhide (1958). He died in 1959, age 72.

Ethan, thank you for these. I new your Dad, back in the mid to late 1970’s I worked for Don Campbell Pest Control out of Fullerton. I treated the house at Newport Beach, Balboa Island. Dina Shore’s and Sterling Holloway’s in Laguna Beach. Grew up in Tucson watched your Dad make a couple movies. My Dad worked for the production company of the High Chaparral for a few years back then. Thanks for reminding us and keeping our passion alive.

Ethan, Roman Gabriel was the Rams QB that played your Dad’s adopted son in “The Undefeated.”
And Merlin Olsen played "Little George" in the Undefeated.
You're exactly right about Gabriel, and of course Merlin Olsen was "Little" George with the Confederate Army. You realize how big he was next to The Duke. John Wayne doesn't get dwarfed very often.
Victor McGlaglen not a drinker, really? Never thought he wasn't a good actor, but I didn't realize how incredible he was. Always had him figured as a rowdy Irish drinking man, interesting.
