Malaysians like to smile. When I was in Madina, a stranger asked me are you Malaysian. I said yes, how do you know. He said Malaysians alway smile.

I'm glad to hear that most visitors have a pleasant impression of Malaysians. To be honest, I enjoy watching vlogs about Malaysia. Food vendors, especially Malays have frequently declined to accept payment from tourists in their vlogs, and this action truly surprised them when they realised how friendly Malaysians can be. In general, Malaysians are foodies and are delighted to see visitors savouring their cuisine.

The couple from Holland wes mentioned about "Taman Negara/ Taman Negara National Park" which is located at Pahang, Peninsular of Malaysia. If you are into hiking, Gunung Tahan is one you can consider. Gunung Tahan is second tallest mountain in Malaysia after Mount Kinabalu which is located in Sabah.

one good tips for foreigners. sometimes you might need to ask the local people for some direction, good food or something else, you might sometimes find that the local people's faces around you are not so bright or happy but you can just ask them anyway and they will usually never ignore you. if you think the local's relax faces are not that welcoming then imagine all of the local people keep staring and smiling at you with no reason like a lunatic and you might have an even weirder experience. don't worry your faces will be the same as the local people if you stay for quite some time under the same hot weather. lastly, welcome and enjoy your trip to all visitors.

It’s not surprise that tourists from Europe,N. America and Australia need a few weeks to adjust to the humidity. Most tropical people who go to drier regions will have a cracking lips problem too but will adjust to the low humidity in a few weeks also. Tourists also tends to walk a lot during daytime which many locals will avoid!

I think intrview session can be improved a bit by first introducing about yourself that u're a canadian not a malaysian, this is to avoid bias answers from the interviewees since your appearance with skin color, beard, resembles a devout muslim and will make they think that u are a malaysian, hence they will only give u sweet respond/comments to your questions.
