You have to have some respect for shough. I always liked the guy, he showed a lot of toughness today. An interesting game against a former duck starting qb, and a former duck defensive coordinator, and game called by an ex duck head coach. Great game.
Respect? Dude choked in moments when it mattered the most wtf are you talking about. Did you not see that fumble in that crucial moment before the half where he could put us on field goal range? did you not see that all he had to do was take us to field goal range when it mattered during the game? But no he shrunk when it mattered and threw a pick or fumbled. He is a choke job. All he had to do was take us to field goal range TWICE. you’d think he’d have a 50% chance each time he did but no he failed both times. He is a choke artist.
@@yourunclesimp1 😂 Backup QB would have been even worse. Probably would have been a blowout in Oregon’s favor. He made a couple mistakes but also made big plays. You could blame the O line too for letting some of those guys come in untouched. A couple of Oregon D lineman made big plays in the second half.
@@KFBALL247 backup qb would have been worse? I can agree on that. However, what I said still stands. That doesn’t minimize the choke job. That’s like saying “kids in Africa have it way worse”. The problem with that is that it doesn’t change the FACT that you have what you HAVE. A choke job. Not a couple of mistakes because context matters. Repeatedly. Both on the last drive when it mattered. When all you had to do. For f sake all you had to do was get the team in position for a field goal and not only did you fail at it you actually gave the ball away. Twice. Both during the last drives of the first and second half. How much trash can you be? It’s a pattern. Words can lie. Actions can lie. Patterns never lie.

The increased depth in the defense front 7 really showed later in the game.
I'm huge Dan Lanning fan, soon as we heard the rumors on the UO different platforms, I believe he'll succeed and I want him to. Not that I haven't for other Oregon coaches, but he's definitely the guy for me. Popo and Dorolus made big plays. They'll grow from this. Survive and improve. The talent is mostly present now in my opinion.
As a Tech Alum Congratulations on your hard fought win! I have a lot of respect for your head coach. Taking responsibility for the mistakes but also praising the players for their successes. It’s refreshing to hear the perspective from the opposition.

Bo played solid game…Very impressive. Lots of positives to build on. On flip side…124 yards in penalties was atrocious. Hopefully, can clean this stuff up quickly. Nice win in tough environment.

Lanning makes a good point. The team composure was huge. That place was rockin and tense but all those young men kept their head. Impressed. Dorlus was a beast.
I have a lot of respect for Dan Lanning. He addresses where improvement needs to be and doesnt shrug it off or sugar coat it.

Will Steins play calling was sketchy all day. Kept running into stacked areas up the middle, and hardly took any deep shots passing. To many penalties, to many dropped dropped passes that were on the money. Still a win in a tough environment . Gonna have to play way better against our rivals to have any chance. Go ducks!🦆
Uiagalele is such a beast bro, he reminds me of von miller and Aaron Donald the way he uses his hands and explosiveness off the ball. Just finishing is his weakness but man I’m excited

We didn’t have two 0’s on the field. Refs thought Noah was Bucky (number 0) when he’s actually number 6. They actually moved the ball back up to the 25 after Dan explained it to them

When my Ducks came out of the gate with an equipment violation penalty I thought oh man I've got a bad feeling already. So glad they pulled this out with all of the penalties and uncharacteristic drops.

A lot of fans were on fb calling the coaches dumbasses but honestly we beat ourselves w penalties. The defense looked good even tho the score was close. They held tech to 3 pts in the 2nd half

The secondary really needs to improve, saw WR’s running free during the PSU game, where their QB couldn’t/ didn’t take advantage…it was definitely an issue for this game where a decent QB exploited it…but conference play will be against far more talented QB’s and receiving corps…better understand how to leverage coverage schemes and understand how to limit big plays.
Still looking for that big win since Ohio State. Joining the BIG next year will be a big advantage for Oregon for recruiting.

Unfortunately, defense--particularly pass defense--isn't where it needs to be in order to have great conference results this year. Hopefully Coach Lanning and staff can help those d-backs figure out what to do when the ball is in the air.
We needed this game glad it went the way it did we have a hell of team D has to tighten it’s really the DBs mental mistakes we beat ourselves a lot they we’re actually solid in coverage besides the stupid errors They made overall I think we’re fine def gotta Clean up the penalties other then that we will be fine

That last run on 😅offense before the field goal was horrendous. By far the worst call of the night. Not sure why they were trying to force that rb toss to the short side of the field over and over and over. You have one of the best playmaking QB’s in the entire country at the helm. Don’t take the damn ball out of his hands on the biggest play of the game.
I don’t understand why everyone thought this was going to be a cake walk. Lubbock is a college town and that home environment is no joke. That is probably the biggest O line and D line will face until bowl season. Oregons Defense won this game - Will Stein needs to do a better job at getting his guys in space. If he continues to call screens and short cuts he needs to go at the end of the season.

As long as Rob Mullens is doing the hiring Oregon will continue to hire bad coaches. He's hired 4 coaches so far and all of them are average at best. Oregon has gone all in on recruiters who can't coach under Rob Mullens.

Honestly, pathetic defense against a mediocre speed running QB not a few times but like 15 or so. Not going near an NC without building a dominating Defense, for a former DC-HC not very convincing mostly hype.
A tough away game, against a very talented team with huge lines on both sides of the ball. Between the fumble and three interceptions, our defense absolutely won the game. Sorry it didn't look the way you wanted it to.

Lanning is a horrible coach. I remmeber when he was hired the Oregon fanbase claimed he'd bring Georgia-level football and Georgia-level recruiting to Eugene. That ain't happening anytime soon. Rob Mullens sure does know how to pick them.

No one in the pac 12 has played a non con away game against a solid opponent yet. TCU is a dumpster fire, I wouldn’t count that has a tough team to beat. Playing a Texas football team in their own stadium is not an easy task. On paper, there isn’t another team that Oregon will play with that size.
Colorado, Utah, UW, USC, and Oregon State will beat Oregon this year. I wonder what excuses our fan base will come up with after we finish 7-5.
