- A delegation of the Taliban met resistance forces in Panjshir for negotiations. The delegation of 40 Taliban members reportedly met with Ahmad Massoud and a number of other people from the resistance forces. Earlier, Ahmad Massoud had called for peace talks but also claimed that his forces were ready to fight. The Taliban find themselves struggling to quell the resistance led by Ahmad Massoud.

@@goken6752 understand...they have the hearts but were simply dis/unorganised....lack of structure/organisation skills due partly to most were illiterate and had to be taught how to read and write first (by the US military?) before you can even teach them organisation/structure/formations/positions etc.! It was also a failure partly on Afghan leadership (President Ghani)...the real soldiers (e.g. Afghan Special forces) were overstretched, under supplied (logistically) and lack of air support (or too late) - after the abrupt US withdrawal under the ANA's noses - ignoring Biden's advice to regroup and consolidate their forces in focused and specific areas so they could hold off the Taliban longer instead of being dotted around the country... Afghan army recruiting also seemed a failure... (majority).
Besides....US/Western style warfare vs Afghan warfare is vastly different and clearly not working/suitable for Afghan landscape (similar as Soviet doctrine)...cannot impose the same style there eventhough US/Nato are superior Army in terms of tech, training, strategy, numerically etc.).. example (again) jungle warfare in Vietnam....Western style warfare ineffctive.and cost many casualties although being a superior army/airforce/Navy... they lacked jungle (guerrilla) warfare compared to Viet Cong/Communists/Chinese who are the real foot soldiers like the Taliban Pashtuns and know and get around their terrain very well... South Vietnamese were trainied in Western style warfare and look how fast they faltered too (almost ineffective against VC... striking similarity here...)... ah...there are so many reasons and factors involved which is too long for a comment space here... there are plenty of analytical videos out here I guess (to why ANA faltered like a house of cards...until the Taliban themselves seem surprised themselves, judging by the looks on their "confused" faces in the Kabul Presidential Palace room 😄..as if they didn't know what to do next...all they ever trained for (and saw) was fighting and surviving... that's all)...

Saleh and his team, will not surrender without bloodshed and war.
And, it's difficult to keep a war in that region which gives Saleh an upperhand.

All the countries are having too much to loose especially since China, Pakistan and even Russia have recognised and Indirectly supports Taliban. Let us consider case of other world powers who wants to help the Afghans
1. India - Can't risk an all out war or it doesn't have a history of sending troops to foreign land other than UN peace keeping missions. But India will be the biggest beneficiary if Taliban is defeated as ISI and Taliban combained will form the biggest security head ache for India in coming decade. India will be helping the rebels indirectly through intelligence or strategic missions by RAW.
2. US - Enough is enough they are out. But they will be paying a big price in the future for letting the Taliban come back. Taliban+China+Pakistan+Russia will take away all their power in that region.
Uk- Not in a great position to help the Taliban alone. Will provide intelligence to rebels at best.
So the best we can hope for is that Rebels can have a decent peace treaty with Taliban for now, giving them some autonomous power in their region.

As a news report from India, almost 5 hours ago, the same time that this video was released, the TB gave the resistance forces four hours to surrender, they’ve now been fighting for four days. Also 800 TB have have been killed and many surrendered. Pakistan is partaking in a proxy war just like the 80s and 90s, where many ranking members of Armed Forces are fighting alongside TB.

The point of getting surrounded on purpose is having a second army that surrounds the Taliban in a donut shape. They definitely need at least 6000 more soldiers, which is double the size of the current resistance.

This is David vs Goliath.... Taliban has gotten lots of new modern weaponry from US, thanks to running away afghan army, also thanks to Taliban's backers like those other countries who supported Taliban..... And Panjshir Alliance are only armed with old, Soviet era weapons...... While I wish for miracles to happen, I can't help but feel hopeless and sad for Panjshir people :(. No other countries are willing to help them against Taliban.
