- Taliban has reportedly surrounded resistance fighters in the Panjshir valley from all sides. Former Afghanistan vice president Amrullah Saleh confirms that hundreds of Taliban fighters have arrived at the Panjshir entrance. As Taliban clashed with resistance fighters in the surrounding districts, Panjshir was preparing for war.
Ahmad Massoud, leader of the anti-Taliban group, said he was hoping for negotiations but was ready for war. Forces loyal to Ahmad Massoud, have established themselves in his Panjshir stronghold. According to sources, both sides are standing ready for military action.

Except back in the days of his father Ahmad Shah Massoud, the valley had access to tadjikistan for supplies and had some level of support from india. Now its completely cut and isolated. I dont believe Pakistan will let them make the same move twice especially after their succesfull invasion of afghanistan in just a few month.

The Panjshir area is the only true graveyard of empires. The rest of Afghanistan has been under Russian rule, British rule and now the Taliban. This is either going to be a difficult peace process or a very nasty war with USA, Pakistan and Taliban against China, Russia and Northern alliance

It fills my heart and brings tears to my eyes that you are finally fighting for your freedom and your country. The 300,000 afghan soldiers that gave up should grab all the weapons and ammo that they can and head for Panjshir and fight for their country take each province back and kill all of the Taliban. I am a women and if this happened in the U.S. civilians would have fought side by side to stop the take over. May God be with you!

If you do your research correctly there were never 300,000 afghan soldiers but around 90000 soldiers. The US army contractor wrote down these amount of soldiers only on papier to make more money etc. And they didn't get paid most of the time and not enough ammo to fight.
They’ve been fighting for their freedom from occupation for 20 years. Don’t start your comment with great feelings of empathy and then say “kill all of the Taliban”. You’re asking for bloodshed in a country that has already been war-torn by your government and NATO. Focus on your own problems and leave Afghanistan to its people.

Listen to me, the solution should never be war they should sit down and talk and avoid death rather than going out and murdering each other. Afghanistan is a Land of Muslims we should respect every single life no matter what ethnicity language or color.
