Hope a few vanguards come in 6.8, and 338 RPM! Ever consider bringing back the 338-06? Or chambering for 9.3x62, 35 Whelen?
For some reason, I'd love to have a 9.3x62.
Not sure why except I think they're cool.
I'd also love a 6.8 western and a 6.5 swede.
I know it's not really different than the creed, but I already have a 6.5prc, and I have no desire for anymore Hornady cartridges.
@@wheelchairhillbilly Winchester has recently started importing their 9.3x62 rifles from across the pond and brass for 9.3x62 is plentiful here or at least on ammo seek.

I was very unhappy CZ quit making their 6.5x55 and 9.3x62.
338 rpm and 35 whelen. Glad I am not only 1
I buy a new weatherby at least once a year with a a mixture of Vanguards and Mark 5s.
The short barrel needs a 7mm-08 with a 1:8 twist.
The 240wby vanguards need a tighter twist option at least, and if the new budget version is any different than the synthetic, it needs a 240 chambering.
I certainly hope you keep the weatherby calibers in 26in for most versions.
I would love to be able to get a vanguard long action with a number 3 contour barrel.
It's too bad the accuguard went away.
Anyway even if these 2 don't interest me with the options, hopefully the next new things will.
I'm currently looking forward to getting a scope on my new Mark 5 hunter in 6.5 rpm. I certainly regret that you can't get a number 2 contour rpm in the more budget versions, but it is what it is.
Of course I'd also love to see a 7mm rpm.
It probably would be just as fast as the 7mmprc if not close.
By the way, I love the 6 lug action. Great job on that.

As a hand load I have gone to Weatherby Rifles because they have carried the longer barrels. I loved that the .308 Win was a 24". Sad to hear Weatherby is following to the short barrel fad. Roy's conviction that speed kills is what Weatherby is about. Hard to do that when we are chopping barrel lengths.

I have two Vanguard rifles. They are a great value and a great way to get into Weatherby cartridges.

What is the difference between the Vanguard Obsidian and Vanguard Synthetic? It seems like you added features, but it is also cheaper. What was cut to reach that price point?

Aside from people who work in the firearms industry continuing to use the word caliber incorrectly even on their website I like everything else in this podcast episode including the twin bearded guys lol 😆. Even though I am a lefty shooter I would definitely consider that beautiful Spike Camp 🏕️ in 350 Legend since I recently moved to Ohio.
I like the news that future models and perhaps even current models will have the appropriate length barrel for the cartridge. No sense having a 26 in .308 Win when 20 or 22 will do well.
Who do i have to talk to about the 307 being chambered in 338 Wby RPM?
