      @@noahgonyea8866 2 stroke has super long top end, a little clunky at lower speeds, and imo the weight distribution is little off, solid bike for sure. I’ve got the ‘21 Yz250f and I’ll tell you it’s my favorite bike I’ve ever ridden, enough power with a pipe and map to feel faster than a 450, obviously not tho lmao. I know they chopped the bottom end, but I’m a desert rider and im always in the mid to top end of the power. Fastest and best handling Stock 250 hands down. 4 stroke for me is the way to go for my type of riding. Hope that answers your question lol

    My cousin owns a 2006 Yamaha blaster and till this day the engine has not been rebuilt. I have a 2008 raptor 80 which also hasn’t been rebuilt and let me tell you This company makes the most reliable engines of all moto company’s, and although I would like to own a Kawasaki due to its ridability I would never, due to minor reliability issues.

    Ive been wanting to try a yam for a while. I currently own a 20 ktm 350 and previously owned 20 250f ktm both stock apart from a spring fork conversion. Today i finally rode a 21 250f yam with a full titanium FMF pipe today and the hard hitting map. I was very under whelmed. It was a hard pack track too so was expecting to feel the grunt people are talking about but honestly it wasn't there, felt very flat ill be honest. The super loud induction suck from between the legs was a little different to get used to. I liked the feeling of the bike and the rear felt like it had good traction, but coming from a more powerful bike I may not have been over powering the tyre. it was more of a numb rear feeling compared to my ktm this might actually help me once the track is beat up and those square edge choppy bumps appear but honestly im now more confused than ever to make the switch or not

    • @maxdad05
      @maxdad05 Před 2 lety

      the pipe will make a stock bike lose power. ours is cammed and ported and still has stock exhaust. we only did mods because of losing a top end and had some scratching that needed polished out. the bike is strong, just has a shitty airbag design when it comes to getting dirt out

    • @mxr7586
      @mxr7586 Před 3 lety +2

      No it’s more spread out this year also with the tune app you can do so much more than any other bike without putting aftermarket parts. The Ktm is not close to this bike. They are full of it. My friend got a Ktm and just rode my friends yz now the Ktm is for sale. When they ride the Yamaha there is no tune in it like the others will come with several plugs that have tunes. With no tune the Yamaha is amazing then when you tune it more aggressive it’s even more amazing. The Yamaha gets over jumps easier even if your heavier as well. This guy complains about the sound yet most Kawasaki’s are louder. Who cares have they not heard aftermarket exhaust?!! Lol

      Don’t bother trying to get a 250 or a big bike till you grow and get bigger and stronger. You are only 14 you still have quite a few years before you should probably think about getting a big bike. The bike would be way too big for you at your height and weight it would scare you and end up hurting you. Get yourself an 85 or supermini instead...in my opinion.

    • @yellowveedub
      @yellowveedub Před 3 lety

      @@reecegerber7826 I definitely agree with you. Tyler take his advice You being 5'2 90lbs. You'll have more fun on a yz 85 then get a super mini upgrade. Depending when your growth spurt hits you'll get a few years out of a yz 85. My ex's son was 12. 5'4 and 100lbs when I got him into mx. He got his growth spurt at 14/15. Shot up to 5'9 135lbs got him a 2017 yz 250f and rode it very well. He's going to be 17 in 3months is now 6'1 170 racing B class on a 2021 KTM. His friend Tyler is a year older and didn't have his growth spurt til a later age. Stayed on a super mini up til he was almost 16. Then hit growth spurt and went to 250f. Hope this helps
