KENYA KIPENZI - MUUNGANO NATIONAL CHOIR KENYA 80'S (RARE)

  • Kenya Kipenzi (My Beloved Kenya) was yet another hugely popular patriotic song in 80's Kenya by the Muungano National Choir, which was led by the late Mr. Boniface Mghanga.
It is sang in Swahili in praise of President Danilel Toroitich Arap Moi's re-election in 1988.
Everyone knew such patriotic songs by heart as you would hear them on the V.O.K (Voice of Kenya) radio station several times a day and before going to bed.
At the time, V.O.K, (now known as KBC), was the only broadcaster in the country. It is still a government owned corporation.

This are the kind of songs that should played on our media for the younger generation to know where Kenya came from so that we can go back to the spirit of patriotism. Viva 🇰🇪 Kenya ❤❤❤❤

Before, I always believed President Moi was a military. This was because of the way he matched to the rythim of the band's music and the salute he did before the national anthem on every National occasion..... Then his voice was very unique on radio. Sincerely, me I loved Moi more and will miss him alot. R I P Daddy.

Many African Countries did not see the End, but kenya did through you, and that's why Kenya is still stable despite its challeges. History should also be objective and look at both sides of the coin.
