The scariest thing is. They're probably still doing things like this and we won't know until we're well into old age
Very true, things like this or worse ... Scary to think about 😔
Covid 19 is probably an experiment on the human population.
@@itsoundzgood you are probably right, scary world 🤯 !!
They do still mostly in secret some missing kids are the ones that get experimented on-
Look into adrenachrome
the title is missing something
'' ... we know of.''
not mention "in the U.S."
If they have done these atrocities to Americans...imagine what they *still* do in other countries! Sick, indeed.
right
LadyStarkgaryen this list is bullshit anyway where's all the experiments done to the mentally Ill
3331CUR4ntSaturnVI E. Javier you haven't heard shit yet this list is nothing compared to the known experiments done to the mentally ill
Honorable Mentions? More like Dishonorable Mentions...
this is proof that humans can be extremely disgusting. my heart goes out to the people effected
Because we didn't know before lol
in this case,Americans are the "extremely disgusting humans'
I triple-dog dare anyone to click that. I think I got a computer virus just reading that.

Honestly MK Ultra still freaks me out to this day, and I wouldn't be surprised if similar experiments are still going on, to this day.
Dont be fooled. Its still happening.
It is. Media, sports, Hollywood, military all use facets of MK-Ultra.
It never stopped
the video never really goes into detail either about these experiments, however I know how bad MK ultra was and it still haunts me today.
Bro we are in mkultra rn
$10 million is a laugh in the face of those mothers. This list shows just how disgusting humanity really can be
And just like that, you can also find videos showing how great humans can be
@@logan6034 It's seldom human history is filled with more evil than good.

@@controlman7490 no... no it isn't. You just document more evil things because if it's good then people are enjoying it instead of documenting it.
It's scary that so many people have no idea about any of this
SuperSix4 or they are to brainwashed and saying that America whould never do that and pray to a pice of cloth
SuperSix4 I could have been experimented on!
I didn't know about the experiments on babies. WTF, so cruel. And they claim Satanic Atheists are the one's performing human/animal sacrifices. So fucked up.
As a Non-American I can tell you Ive never heard of any of this... Are yall okay?
@Atlas, in all honesty no, but there are those worse off. Our citizens are too concerned with who's in office, what political party, religious affiliation, sexuality, race, and so forth, but not what they are doing. The two party system and prejudice in our government, and the people not voting in ways to cause a change are putting our country down the shitter. But ask others and they'll say it's the liberal snowflakes, or conservative trumptards, in reality, they're all acting like jackasses, nothing is getting done, and problems are perpetuating.
"atrocities doesnt stop, they just got good at hiding it"
Just curious what scientists are doing today on the down-low?
Just imagine in 30 years, we find out that some university or scientific org was expwrimenting on kids or animals today?
Xander F
It is ALWAYS going on
Xander F probably are....
Damm you're so right
Xander F As horrible as these experiments are, at least in the US, there have been more regulations now for science experiments. Researchers must pitch their study before getting funding, they must debrief their participants, etc. The rules are not like they were back in those days.
Xander F They've been experimenting on animals for decades, that's one of the things vegans, vegetarians, and Animal Rights Activists fight against
I remember seeing part of a documentary on the Stanford prison experiment in high school. It's so frightening and yet so interesting to see what ordinary people will do when given a lot of power over others.
I am apart of a government experiment. I was recently worth 6 figure and my life has been upside down since. For a year and a half now I have been abused by my own country. I’m 24 I live in Indiana. I’ve been under electronic surveillance, pen/trap surveillance, and community & Law enforcement watchlist. Not only is my constitutional rights are being violated under a superior country. I am also being harassed and treated inhumane through the course of surveillance used against me. I have reached at to almost every attorney in each state. I have reached out to the attorney General of Indiana. The governor of Indiana’s office. The FBI. The NSA. The Department of Justice. Civil Right attorneys such as: ACLU, NAACP,…and more. I’ve sent letters to the Indiana disciplinary commission. No one can help me or shed any light on the reason why I am being targeted. I can’t live as a human being. A man with morals and principals, as I have these things which make me who I am violated everyday. Yes I said everyday. I am targeted for not only surveillance, but harassment everyday. I know I have the right to know why I am being held under the fire as I am. I have proof, evidence and witnesses to back up my statements and I won’t stop fighting for Justice. I want answers and I need my life back. Once again I cannot live, in peace, in my own country. Someone has to help me and conduct a thorough investigation to support my claims. I will not suffer in silence anymore. I have a right to be free. I have a right to a fair trial and due process. I have a right to privacy. I have a right to travel. I have a right to work. All of these things I have stated has been repetitively violated and restrained. My question is when will I be free? When will I be able to be treated as a modern-day American and not like a terrorist. Or like a caged animal being terrorized. This is not a conspiracy theory. It’s an actual victim of an actual conspiracy that is taking place among small amounts of people. We are gas lighted everyday. And every way. The government has people to pretend to have the same issues as is only to gas light the public and (the victims) with false claims and ridiculous behaviors.

"The land of the free"

万歳爆発 that was an attack on citizens they didn’t do anything if only they would’ve gotten the government more lol.
三四 Are you seriously going there? Do you realize how many innocent lives died in that tragedy? Fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, never got to go home to there kids or families. Over 1500 people gone. How dare you! With your statement your also implying that it happens everyday and that all Americans are like that, which is biased, and completely false. Do you have any idea? How many messed up experiments OTHER countries have conducted compared to the US? Not to mention the people responsible for the experiments here were looked down upon and punished for there actions.
Yeah it is the land of the free. Don’t tell us otherwise.
Mr. Neonz no it ain’t lol
The prison experiment was not to show the effect of imprisonment, it was to show the effects of role play. When you start role play it seems like you are playing a part but as time the behavior of the role play starts to become more normalized on your mind to the point that you start believing you are what you are role playing. The experiment was shut down because the students that were role playing as the guards actually were treating the student that were playing the prisoners as if they were really in a prison. Proving that role play is the start of a behavioral change. I'm very disappointed in the way you explained this because it was very inaccurate.
Agreed.
Thank you
Please add 'In the US' to your title, it opens up to future videos and is also slightly misleading...
Tilda Adade Quite misleading actually.
I agree. There's room for an entire list of experiments that the Nazis did in the camps.
The Russian sleep experiment was horrifying
Loonimis ur dumb its called an urban legend boi
NOT_jdarriaga46 -_- no, it's called a creepy pasta
Wonder what other horrible experiments people have been through? I couldn’t imagine the psychological effects some people had to get
I saw that "Stanford Prison Experiment" flick. It got pretty damn disturbing. How long does it take for people to forget it's not real? How long does the concept of civility last? Not long. Not long at all.
Mkultra is real to. Its not fake. Once Britney Spears admitted that it was used on her. How do you think people do unpleasent things everyday. Mkultra= mind control program.
Yea, that was sick
Televisions where inverted as mind MK= CIA = Hollywood studios= CIA offices. A control device. Tele = distance=sound wave and vision= tell a lie vision= media we are being = Programmed.
Explains how Nestle executives can kill babies too from the comforts of an office.
Love how they don't even mention the fact that MK Ultra used Canadian citizens in Montreal as test subjects
Back in 1976, I watched a TV movie called *_The Tenth Level;_* staring _Capt. Kirk_ and _Vinnie Barbarino._ I discovered many years later, that it was actually based on *The Milgram Experiment.*
The film affected me greatly. I still have random thoughts about it to this day.
Just think about the experiments we don’t know of, don’t even wanna know how brutal they may were
Vaccine lol
Wow. No mention of feeding children radioactive oatmeal at Fernald state school in Waltham Massachusetts. Mine boggling that this is left out
What gets me are the people commenting as if this only happens in America. Someone said "what we know of". This applies to every government worldwide, past and present.
the experiment that freaked me out the most was the one in which this guy used a whole city to create a philosopher's stone. Later he wanted to use a whole country. Sick...
Carlos Rios Anyone with a brain would have done the same.... I mean come became a God (even though it was only for a few minutes)
wasnt that from Full Metal Alchemist lol
FMA brotherhood was the only anime I've ever liked, and whoever references it, automatically becomes my friend.
Unless you have some sort of weird anime body pillow...
nope, i dont own any body pillows so looks like were friends lol, you can call me Tony
Fun fact: MK Ultra had a branch at McGill University, in Montreal.
Scientific development has always been build with the sacrifice of others, and its important to honor those who fall during the research
Rodimus Yeah, they need to be remembered and honoured instead of erased from the history of their country.
Exactly
Rodimus and it's important to continue
I wonder if hippos came up with the Hippocratic othe and the human heard and then stole it and made it there own.
Rodimus so jus dnt evn tell thm?
bless those who have suffered through those horrible endeavors.
they should have mention "The Monster Study" where the lives of 22 orphan children are ruined by a man's belief that psychologically harm them will prove that his stuttering is not his fault.
Karl Garin yes you're so right
I’m kinda glad it’s not in here mostly because it’s in almost every other “controversial psychological experiments” (or something along that line) video ever

What kind of personality do you have to have in order to bring about these horrendous acts of experiments?
That is probably the scariest reason behind it all...
Rejane Florinda allow me to ask you a question: would you be able to keep all that in mind when being experimented on with Anthrax...?

Some One you don't know What the U.S. Means don't you
Do u know that U.S. means United States or are u being sarcastic

Anyone hurting children deserves the worst
Out of all of the fucked up experiments on this list, I already knew about three of them: the Stanford Prison Experiment, the Milgram Experiment, and the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, two of them I had to know based on my major. The other was learned through my American Literature and later in one of my Psychology courses. Western Kentucky researchers argued that selection effect played a role in the Prison Experiment, which is one of the threats to internal validity despite that all the randomly assigned participants were male undergraduate students, which confirms there is indeed internal validity because the participants were randomly assigned but there were not any females nor graduate students, which confirms selection effects. The underlying threats to the internal validity in this experiment are attrition because some participants left during the experiment for understandable reasons (attrition is the most common threat to internal validity) and demand characteristics because Zimbardo told the guards to become cruel towards the prisoners, which the guards behaved exactly to the way the experimenter wanted them to do, all of which were really extreme.
“they didn’t know they already had syphilis” They gave them syphilis!
wtf America!?
Welcome to humanity, not just America.
Not only America wtf people
Nicholas Wu Hell, wtf humans!

But america is well known for their experiments
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
The US has no right to comment on other's Human Right violations.
Amelia Wright yes we do
Facts
I agree 💯 percent Amelia,
There's a conspiracy theory that Charles Manson was a victim of MKULTRA, which is how he knew how to control people and why he was so eccentric. Honestly one of my favorite, and one of few conspiracies I actually believe in.
I believe that's how he got all the followers he had I won't doubt he was apart of the experiment not excusing his behaviors but it would explain a lot
I lived at Naha AFB, Okinawa from 1962-1964. I was 1 1/2 years old when we moved there. The military sprayed experimental chemicals from aircraft, exposed us to Agent Orange, DDT, J-5 Jet Fuel. I'm a high functioning autistic as are my children. Others didn't come out as lucky as I did.

I live near Vanderbilt University and I do agree, that experiment was horrible
What about the one dude who abused two sibling boys by treating one as a girl and both later killed thsmselves later in life.
SpaceNavy90 the case of David YEAH that was messed up
Wow wtf
Which ones terrified me the most? The ones you didn't talk about! Lol
The flaw in the Stanford Prison Experiment, it was in Stanford. I know a few neighborhoods where that experiment won't last 3 hours.
and number #1 school
Yes you are right
At 4:00 you say: "They were forced to administer it..." That's false. Nobody was ever forced to do anything in the Milgram experiments. They could have walked out at any moment with no repercussions. That's the horrifying fact of it..... That they were free to go but chose to obey because they didn't want to "ruin" the experiment.....
Other benefits your wording for the Tuskgee Experiment is so cheery. These men had no clue they had syphillis. Healthcare being a benefit please it was a necesary componenr the least they could do. After a cure they kept the study going another 10 years. I hate the way black, poor, mentally ill, people are marginalized. Really,
Subjects??
uumm you mean people??
"Hello.......I'm with the government and I'm here to help you............................"
As disturbing as the video is, in the end it was very interesting! Although I do believe the title should have American somewhere you do address in the very beginning it's only focusing on American experiments so I don't know why the comment section is like this. Anywho, awesome video watchmojo keep up the great work!
MK Ultra better be here...
Edit: ok, it's number ten even. Didn't need to watch long.
Vyers Reaver should of been higher
Alongside the Tuskegee experiment was the Guatemala syphilis experiments. A preliminary study in the U.S. Penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana, ran from 1943 to 1944, and involved trying to infect "volunteer" male prisoners with gonorrhea (by using a swab) with the idea of then testing the effectiveness of penicillin against STD. That proved ineffective at infecting the test subjects. So another study was conducted in Guatemala from 1946 to 1948, where female sex workers were deliberately infected with syphilis -- remember, there was still no proven cure for the disease -- and they were used to spread the disease to male Guatemalan soldiers and prisoners. Altogether, 1,308 people were involved whether they knew it or not, and 83 of these people died of the disease. Some -- but not all -- were treated successfully with penicillin, establishing its efficacy against STIs.
The results of this study were never published, despite it having been funded by the US government. It remained secret until the copious, detailed notes of the lead researcher, Dr. John Cutler, were discovered in 2005 among his papers. Cutler was also an investigator in the Tuskegee study, and the Terre Haute prison study, along with numerous other research projects involving STIs. One such study took place in 1954, where prisoners in the Sing Sing Correctional Facility were injected with a supposed vaccine for syphilis, and later infected with syphilis itself.
For all of those who got to No4 and then just gave up.
i remember zimbardo and milgram from when i was at college (english college). we actually met zimbardo aswell. both very iteresting studies and results. every participent was given all the need therapy sessions after.
Stanley Milgram's shock experiment while may be controversial still provided highly noticeable results
I was hoping to learn things I didn't already know about that took place elsewhere in the world. please make a video of this, but worldwide rather than just in the USA. Also, I'd like to mention the Oregon State Hospital's fluoride experiment. The documents are hard to find because of the amount of cover-up, but my dad has seen them. A bunch of people died. I'm not sure exactly how many, but I'd estimate over 25 people. It could've been in the hundreds, though.
If anyone can find the documents on the dark web please link me to them.
Watchmojo let me tell you something America is not the only place where people were being sperimented okay.
thats true
Yes we know, many countries do the same thing. Since most WM viewers are American it's a little more relevant.
hidan of akatsuki...yeah and Russia, japan, china and others where doing the exact same thing.and let's not forget north Korea man those people did some FUCKED UP SHIT..
yep no one's denying this. Again due to a majority American audience it's more relevant to hear what was done in their own country. Do you understand that?
most of the stuff from those countries were before the modern era, russia and china are both communist and japan has made up for its past. the reason america is getting the most attention is because we claim to be "the land of the free" since 1776
Thanks
I'm surprised the Monster study did not make even an honorable mention. Also the experiments performed by Dr. Henry Murray which may have been a catalyst to the Unibomber.

The one that affected me the most was the one that talked about the testes surgeries. Some of it just grossed me out.
That’s a great way to get rid of scammers!
U alright?
The Stanford Prison Experiment was actually shut down when Zombardo invited a grad student to check out his experiment (they had just started dating and he wanted to show off his awesome study; they're actually married now). She was repulsed and told Zombardo to immediately shut it down, and he did, as her horror made him realize he'd become numb and only snapped out of it when seeing the experiment through her eyes.
Also he and Milgram went to the same high school at about the same time. They didn't know each other until after the Stanford experiment when Milgram thanked Zombardo for taking the heat off him.
What about the two atom bombs they tried on live subjects during WWII?
Crice Rysth that just proves you’re uneducated in the pacific theatre, if you knew anything you would know Japan committed atrocities all over China. The bombs helped end the war. Have you ever heard of the Bataan death march? Or what about the two Japanese officers who had a contest on who could slaughter the most civilians with their swords, over a two week period I believe it was they each got over 100 kills one had 105 and the other had 114. The bombs weren’t any worse than what others were doing our method just made it go faster
Chris Rohls Thank You. Someone who knows history.
Science At Its Best thank you. I’m a high school dropout but I spend roughly 20 hours a week educating myself on WW2 and other wars

this is the proof that science nor religion has anything to do with violence and insane things, it is humans.. us..
No matter what God nor Science is safe in humanities insanities.
It is us that makes this excuses so we can get free of responsibilities not Gods or Science.
Sir Miles except these experiments are science, in a twisted version of the term.

The Russian Sleep Experiment was fiction
God bless these victims.
The Monster experiment that used orphans in the 1930's should've made this list. They split the children into ones with any amount of stutter and ones without. They then would praise and encourage those with the stutter to not and vice versa. Some of the ones without a stutter developed one and were left with that as well as trauma from them using negative reinforcement. Some stopped talking entirely.
