Our citizens are too concerned with who's in office, what political party, religious affiliation, sexuality, race, and so forth, but not what they are doing. The two party system and prejudice in our government, and the people not voting in ways to cause a change are putting our country down the shitter. But ask others and they'll say it's the liberal snowflakes, or conservative trumptards, in reality, they're all acting like jackasses, nothing is getting done, and problems are perpetuating.

I am apart of a government experiment. I was recently worth 6 figure and my life has been upside down since. For a year and a half now I have been abused by my own country. I’m 24 I live in Indiana. I’ve been under electronic surveillance, pen/trap surveillance, and community & Law enforcement watchlist. Not only is my constitutional rights are being violated under a superior country. I am also being harassed and treated inhumane through the course of surveillance used against me. I have reached at to almost every attorney in each state. I have reached out to the attorney General of Indiana. The governor of Indiana’s office. The FBI. The NSA. The Department of Justice. Civil Right attorneys such as: ACLU, NAACP,…and more. I’ve sent letters to the Indiana disciplinary commission. No one can help me or shed any light on the reason why I am being targeted. I can’t live as a human being. A man with morals and principals, as I have these things which make me who I am violated everyday. Yes I said everyday. I am targeted for not only surveillance, but harassment everyday. I know I have the right to know why I am being held under the fire as I am. I have proof, evidence and witnesses to back up my statements and I won’t stop fighting for Justice. I want answers and I need my life back. Once again I cannot live, in peace, in my own country. Someone has to help me and conduct a thorough investigation to support my claims. I will not suffer in silence anymore. I have a right to be free. I have a right to a fair trial and due process. I have a right to privacy. I have a right to travel. I have a right to work. All of these things I have stated has been repetitively violated and restrained. My question is when will I be free? When will I be able to be treated as a modern-day American and not like a terrorist. Or like a caged animal being terrorized. This is not a conspiracy theory. It’s an actual victim of an actual conspiracy that is taking place among small amounts of people. We are gas lighted everyday. And every way. The government has people to pretend to have the same issues as is only to gas light the public and (the victims) with false claims and ridiculous behaviors.

The prison experiment was not to show the effect of imprisonment, it was to show the effects of role play. When you start role play it seems like you are playing a part but as time the behavior of the role play starts to become more normalized on your mind to the point that you start believing you are what you are role playing. The experiment was shut down because the students that were role playing as the guards actually were treating the student that were playing the prisoners as if they were really in a prison. Proving that role play is the start of a behavioral change. I'm very disappointed in the way you explained this because it was very inaccurate.

Out of all of the fucked up experiments on this list, I already knew about three of them: the Stanford Prison Experiment, the Milgram Experiment, and the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, two of them I had to know based on my major. The other was learned through my American Literature and later in one of my Psychology courses. Western Kentucky researchers argued that selection effect played a role in the Prison Experiment, which is one of the threats to internal validity despite that all the randomly assigned participants were male undergraduate students, which confirms there is indeed internal validity because the participants were randomly assigned but there were not any females nor graduate students, which confirms selection effects. The underlying threats to the internal validity in this experiment are attrition because some participants left during the experiment for understandable reasons (attrition is the most common threat to internal validity) and demand characteristics because Zimbardo told the guards to become cruel towards the prisoners, which the guards behaved exactly to the way the experimenter wanted them to do, all of which were really extreme.

They could have walked out at any moment with no repercussions. That's the horrifying fact of it..... That they were free to go but chose to obey because they didn't want to "ruin" the experiment.....

Alongside the Tuskegee experiment was the Guatemala syphilis experiments. A preliminary study in the U.S. Penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana, ran from 1943 to 1944, and involved trying to infect "volunteer" male prisoners with gonorrhea (by using a swab) with the idea of then testing the effectiveness of penicillin against STD. That proved ineffective at infecting the test subjects. So another study was conducted in Guatemala from 1946 to 1948, where female sex workers were deliberately infected with syphilis -- remember, there was still no proven cure for the disease -- and they were used to spread the disease to male Guatemalan soldiers and prisoners. Altogether, 1,308 people were involved whether they knew it or not, and 83 of these people died of the disease. Some -- but not all -- were treated successfully with penicillin, establishing its efficacy against STIs.
The results of this study were never published, despite it having been funded by the US government. It remained secret until the copious, detailed notes of the lead researcher, Dr. John Cutler, were discovered in 2005 among his papers. Cutler was also an investigator in the Tuskegee study, and the Terre Haute prison study, along with numerous other research projects involving STIs. One such study took place in 1954, where prisoners in the Sing Sing Correctional Facility were injected with a supposed vaccine for syphilis, and later infected with syphilis itself.

Also, I'd like to mention the Oregon State Hospital's fluoride experiment. The documents are hard to find because of the amount of cover-up, but my dad has seen them. A bunch of people died. I'm not sure exactly how many, but I'd estimate over 25 people. It could've been in the hundreds, though.

The Monster experiment that used orphans in the 1930's should've made this list. They split the children into ones with any amount of stutter and ones without. They then would praise and encourage those with the stutter to not and vice versa. Some of the ones without a stutter developed one and were left with that as well as trauma from them using negative reinforcement. Some stopped talking entirely.
