The sixth sense, isn't related to the pituitary gland. The sixth is the text which activates the other senses. That's the text.
I love your teaching because people in Poland are very astonished when they hear me speaking polish.
Thanks to you my Polish teacher ❤
You make it so much easier! Tysm Monika! You’re the best teacher.
Excellent lesson!
Great lessons. Great teacher. Thanks.
My native language is Bosnian and I have a couple of polish friends that I play with, and the languages are so similar in both words and grammar. I can understand about 40% of what they say in polish and tought it could be an easy third language to learn. Also a slavic language being my native one the pronunciations are natural and take no effort and it amazes me how much you have to simplify it for everyone else and I find it simpler to translate the English sentences into Bosnian and than into Polish.
How are you doing so far?
You'll definitely have an easier time than us English speakers :)
trying to ditch the heavily ingrained pronunciations for some words and letters is pretty challenging.
Loving these lessons, Monika. Am taking it slow but i think i'm making progress. Thank you so much.
Useful. Thanks Monika
Not even through the free lessons, and my boyfriend is already complimenting my progress
The word order and many basic vocabulary are almost the same as in Russian. This is the first time ever for me to learn Polish.
With a basic understanding of Russian this is really easy to follow. No wonder slavic languages are so closely related that it's so easy for the speakers to learn other slavic languages interchangeably. I started with Ukranian several days ago, so there were no problems following it.
Very easy to follow, thank you!
thank you so much Monika !

I am teaching myself Polish, as I will eventually live in a Polish community. I speak other languages but they are Latin based. I did Polish Duo Lingo, but the sentences make no sense in real life. Your videos have sentences that are used in real life. Thank you so much.
Я носитель русского языка, и скажу, что смотрю этот урок, что бы усовершенствовать свой английский и обучиться польскому.

Really good i was paying now i get it for FREE!!
Thanks for your lesson. They are very helpful. at 5:51 Please change "Czy jest tam sklep" to "as you says " Czy tam jest sklep"
Great
It's perfect by a huge margin compare to anything
im foreigner but i can speak Russian very good so it's easy for me to learn polish
Hello Monika. I really love your lessons. Just a question at the 5:38 mark. Is there a mistake with It is there and What is there? The order is different. Also, There is a house and Is there a house? Should both be tam jest dom? Just trying to figure out why the order is different. Thank you:)
Hello. The word order in Polish is quite flexible so there are often many possibilities in which order you put the words. Although there might be more preferred or neutral ways.
Words at the beginning and at the end of the sentence are often the ones we want to emphasize. But very often it is how we raise the intonation tells what we want to emphasize.
What is there?
Co tam jest? (sounds for me the most neutral)
Co jest tam? (also possible, less frequent)
There is a house.
Tam jest dom. (most neutral "There is a house")
Dom jest tam. (this would mean more "The house is there" or "A house is there")
Dom tam jest. (here we emphasize more the "dom" like "A HOUSE is there.")
Is there a house?
Jest tam dom? (question when we want to know if a house exists there)
Tam jest dom? (here we underline more the place "Is THERE is a house?")
Dom jest tam? (A house is there?)
Dom tam jest? (A house is there?)
How do you say ‘I’m at home!’ Also can you do greetings
♡Hello miss Monika♡this is family ch and k♡our creator is your student♡thanks for teaching her ♡if u saw this comment we're glad♡
To good
Hi Monica! Thanks for putting it all together. I really like your teaching approach.
One remark: foot is pronounced /fʊt/ not /fuːt/. If I were you I would use the word pool /puːl/ as an example.
Otherwise native speakers of English might find it confusing.
Thanks for the comment!
True, 'pool' is a better example to show the sound quality, although the length of the Polish sound is shorter, [u] not [u:].
Hey, great lesson, a bit of a tip, when you show multiple ways to say a word (short versions) you might want to say if its informal or not.
Thanks for the tip.
Just to add, the short form "tu" is neutral and can be used both in formal and informal language.
Hi! Thanks a lot fot these lessons! It helps a lot.
One correction from my side:
@05:46 there should be "(Czy) tam jest sklep" written there, instead of "(Czy) jest tam sklep"
Thanks for the lessons again🙏
Thanks! Indeed, I said one version and wrote another! Anyway, both versions are correct to say, as Polish has quite a flexible word order 😀
@@PolishwithMonika oh I thought it was a mistake. So it was just another version of order! Thanks for the answer 🙏
Jesteś najlepszy
I am Indian I learning 🇵🇱प्वालिश language by u
At 5:49, is there a typo? It writes "jest tam sklep", but you say "tam jest sklep". The correct grammar is "tam jest sklep", right?
True, I said one thing and wrote something else. Sorry. Although here both versions are ok, as the Polish word order is quite flexible.
(Czy) tam jest sklep? = (Czy) jest tam sklep?
These lessons are fantastic, thank you so much!
Quick question about "Who is this?" and "Who is there?" at 12:20 - You say "Who is this?" can be either "Kto to jest" or just "Kto to", but "Who's there?" can just be "Kto tam". Would the sentence "Kto tam jest?" not make sense? If not, why doesn't that work?
"Kto tam?" and "Kto tam jest?" are both ok.
"Kto tam?" is the short version and would be used for example when someone is knocking at the door.
"Kto tam jest?" is the full version and would be used when asking a person to find out who is present in another place.
@@PolishwithMonika Excellent, and thank you for the quick reply!
So for example, "Kto tam jest?" would work if you were asking who's at a party you were thinking about going to? Kinda like "Oh, I dunno if I'm going. Who else is there?"
Yes, that's it!
Kto tam jest? - Who is there? (on the party)
5:48 "is there a store?" the polish translation is incorrect order? Jest tam instead of tam jest?
In Polish, the word order is quite flexible (but not random), also in questions. The order however might emphasize specific words, or simply is more common in use.
Jest tam sklep? - Is there a store? Is a store over there? (Sounds neutral. We are asking if a store exists somewhere.)
Tam jest sklep? - There is a store? (Here we put some emphasize on the place "tam". )
Also, apart from the word order, the way we put stress on the words will signalize our intentions.
@@PolishwithMonika Thank you Monika. :)
YAY I GOT THE DIALOGUE RIGHT
When you ask where are you, is it okay to say gdzie ty jesteś even if you aren’t irritated?
yooooooo, why am I picking up these words so quickly????
they are literally welded into my brain now
can you please teach us Japanese as well?
Hay madam monica... My name is razak. I am in now Poland poznan only 5 months. I like direct class learning Polish you have eny class in Poznan?
Hi Razak! Unfortunately, currently I am not offering any individual nor group classes at the moment.
@@PolishwithMonika you can give your email?
Pozdrowienia
Why does the p in przepraszam have no sound?
There is a [p] sound in the word 'przepraszam', but it is not so clear before consonants.
5:51 the last sentence is written wrong, isn't it?
Yes, I say "Czy tam jest sklep?" but I wrote "Czy jest tam sklep?", although both are correct.
In Polish the word order is quite flexible (but not random) and words often move around depending what you want to emphasize.
God it sounds easy
Can you say Co jestes tam for are you there>
'Jesteś tam?' means 'Are you there?' (no need to use the word 'co' here)
These lessons are good, lesson one was easy🙃but this one you😭😭 😅 I guess it gets better as you learn
Are you there? Can be Czy jestes tam? Right?
Yes, 'Are you there?' can be 'Jesteś tam?' or 'Czy jesteś tam?'
Hard😩✋
Which part do you find the hardest? Pronunciation, grammar, words?
@@PolishwithMonika grammar😢
5:53 there is a little mistake”tam jest sklep”
Still gotta admit she does a good job.
@@Knollbrothers That’s for sure. Her videos are so good for me!
Have enjoyed the first two lesson samples, but €59 is a silly price. You'd make more money overall if this were much cheaper. Why sell a handful at €59 when you can sell ten times as much at a third of the price? Simple business sense.
Glad that you have enjoyed the first lessons.
Finding a satisfying price for both parties is not always easy.
Think more of the value you will get after purchasing the course and how much you will learn in a short period of time.
Also, I sometimes share promotional discount codes for the course. Like now, till end of January with the code "polish23" you will get a 23% discount :)
And remember that by buying my courses you are supporting me and my CZcams channel where I share many free lessons.
@@PolishwithMonika But I can get the same value from other courses. Sorry, but you haven't thought this through.
