    Im from Russia, I started learning polish a few months ago. Why polish? I used to have friends from Poland, and in my broken English I didn’t always understand what they were saying. Polish language is actually very unusual and beautiful❤

    Monika, could you possibly do a video about ordering at at restaurant? I'm in Poland, and the most common conversational struggles that I have are when I go out and talking to, or trying to talk to, a waitress without struggling and stammering. I think alot of people might find this very useful. The reason I ask is, I sometimes try to start speaking Polish to the waitress, but as soon as I stumble, the waitress just switches to English, which defeats the purpose of trying to practice your Polish.
    A second video idea that might also be useful is how to communicate with a delivery person. Here in Poland, I often receive a message from a delivery person on the phone and I have no idea what he's saying or how to respond. Things like, "do you have a package for me?" "Are you coming?" "Should I wait?" "I will be home in 20 minutes", etcetera.
    Just some ideas. Keep up the great videos! Your content is amazing, and I just bought your worksheets.

    Which one is best used for next door neighbour who we like?

    • @PolishwithMonika
      @PolishwithMonika  Před 10 měsíci +1

      If you spend time with your neighbour, e.g. frequently meet up in the evenings or go out, you can call the person 'kolega' or 'koleżanka'.
      If you only occasionally spend time, then they are 'znajomy' or 'znajoma'.
      If you only say hello and have short conversations, then they are simply 'sąsiad', 'sąsiadka'.
