@@acmenipponair I know its weird. But they do exist in a battery powered version (Talent 3). The one shown here is clearly a DB Baureihe 442 (Talent 2) with 2 coaches. It also looks like its running on Diesel. But its still very well designed and animated.

Rich people haven or not, Sylt has a very delicate ecosystem that is already suffering from tourism. The point of overrunning the island for a weekend is to annoy the bourgeoisie and their tone deaf representatives, not destroy precious nature reserves. So a lot of the memes about storming Sylt actually remind people not to ravage the dunes and to take trash bags with them. I just hope they follow through with that.

Das Pfingstwochenende auf Sylt war für mich die mit Abstand geilste Zeit seit zwei Jahren! Unfassbar viele Leute kennengelernt und einen Heidenspaß gehabt.
Man kannte sich vorher nur durch miteinander schreiben, wenn überhaupt, hat zusammen gesoffen und die Wege trennten sich wieder.
Mit einem Gemisch aus Wehmut und Sehnsucht blicke ich auf diese paar Tage zurück.

As someone trying really hard to learn German at home from the USA, I absolutely love this. Not only is it funny, and as usual, very catchy, but I get to practice understanding German. Thank you!
My recommendation: Look up "German aesthetic songs" on CZcams. You'll find videos from so named Robin Peaches. Doesn't always fit my personal taste but hey, the first time I thought "hey, German music (outside of Folk Rock/Metal) isn't complete trash, after all!"

We had a very similar reaction when they built a new train in my neighborhood. It’s also a fairly rich area, full of old people. They were terrified thugs and criminals would pour into the neighborhood from France.
They built the train and literally nothing happened. We just have a convenient commuting service now. Weird how that stuff works out huh?

That was my experience last year on sylt (NO 9€ TICKETS) and the island was LOADED with tourists! Also train traveling took 14h from Munich! Normally it should take about 8h only! So I highly recommended NOT visiting sylt this summer by train, too long waiting time on DB trains without 9€ ticket anyway, so what about now?! Really hyped to see „the horde“ of tourist stuck on the tracks from my couch though xD Thx for the cool music man , gonna listen to it all summer long knowing that people suffer in sweaty trains
I live in northern Germany and i would also suggest not to travel to the popular parts of the German coast. Too many people, high prices etc.. It's not worth the money and time
