I sat on the grass, mere feet from the front of the stage, August 27th 1990, in Wisconsin, at his last show on this earth. Watched the helicopter take off into the fog, that took him to Jesus! Just breathing the same air that he did that night is a blessing beyond words...and yes, he fuckin' stole the whole show. SRV, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Jimmy Vaughan, and more, all on stage together!

Check out , Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan singing don't you lie to me. Albert King was a legend blues and guitar player. He was Stevie Ray Vaughan idiol and mentor. Albert once said if he had a white son walking this earth it would be Stevie Ray Vaughan.

This version of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" was written by the legendary blues guitarist and singer Buddy Guy. As usual, Stevie and Double Trouble knock it out of the park. 😍🎸🔥

He was an absolute Texas tornado when he played. Yet, every aspect of his playing demonstrated sheer precision and control. I really don't know of anyone else who could approach him as a guitarist. And on top of that, he was a humble and sweet guy. I thank God for such a gift as Stevie!

This was originally a Buddy Guy song from his 1968 album “A Man and the Blues” on the Vanguard label. Buddy is still with us. He was a big influence on Stevie and his older brother Jimmy.

Dude was a titan among titans. What else can you say about him? He's the goat. 🎸🐐
I've seen 100,000 SRV videos and have listened to every one of his songs a million times, but sometimes dude just puts a lump in my throat and brings tears to my eyes. There have been many bad ass guitarists, but NO ONE, and I mean no one was the total package like Stevie. His raw emotion is like a knife piercing my heart sometimes. Fuck I miss him!
PS - This is a Buddy Guy tune. Stevie's best friend. Buddy is in his 80s today and still kicking everyone's ass on guitar. There's a video of Stevie and Buddy at Buddy's club in Chicago playing "Champagne and Reefer" together....a must-see video!!!

I got to see him twice before he died. Watching him on stage lulled you into a trance. It's very cool seeing people today rediscover him (and hopefully other blues great, of whom there are many with a long, cool history). I can't believe it's 30 years since he died. A few of my friends were at his last concert. It was an hour from where I grew up. Time does fly. Enjoy and count your blessings!

Let me ask you to listen to something from SRV that is such a beautiful and different playing. I would describe it as a “grown up “ song. He doesn’t shred or play his usual high energy and exciting riffs, but a song to sit back with a cold adult drink and soak in every guitar lick. React to “Riviera Paradise live in Austin,Texas” . Truly amazing stuff.

Hey Brother, good to see you back, I haven't seen you on for a couple weeks now! I Hope everything is ok with y'all!
I tried sending you a link to a Metal song I thought you'd like, but for whatever reason my phone won't let me send the link to you, or anyone else! I'll figure it out, but till then, I'll request it here in the comments this time around!! If you would, Pull up the song "25 Years" by Pantera!!🤘🤘When you pull it up, make sure you get the one that says LYRICS ON SCREEN! It's my all-time favorite song, by my all-time favorite band!!🤘🤘 I'm sure you'll like it to👍I've checked, and ain't nobody reacted to it yet, so you'd be the only one as far as I know who's done a reaction to it thus far!! Anyways, Y'all take it easy Brother and stay safe!!👊🤘🤘 ✌OUT.........
