- I was thinking about how wonderful embossing powder is and it occurred to me that all you really need is something to stick it to! I thought this would be a fun experiment. This experiment turned out to make a beautiful card! I used my free set of thinlits I got from Stampin Up's Sale-a-bration (SAB) set: Celebrate You Thinlits. This was the first time I really got to experiment with these beautiful gold, silver and copper embossing powders I just purchased.

That's really cute! I can now use the 1,000's of images in my Design Space software and have it cut out words from my double sided paper to do really quick and easy heat embossing that doesn't require pouncing embossing ink on top of my die cuts and Cricut cuts. Thanks again Tarryn! FYI, I love the pen embossing trick you taught us lucky ones. It really took my Valentine cards to the next level for my family. They've always loved my cursive handwriting and I was able to incorporate it into my handmade cards and crafts. I feel like it's an amazing secret that I don't want anybody else to find out but then again I told everyone about it in a LIVE group chat in one of my favorite crafting groups. **FUN FACT: NOBODY IN MY CITY IS IN MY CRAFTING GROUPS SO I LOOK REALLY COOL EITHER WAY!** Bahahaha! Thankyou for your videos. So helpful. I would like to try embossing but is it possible to use a hairdryer do you think.
What type of double sided tape are you using? I did not see it on your blog list.
Do you just use the tiny brush to get off the bits of powder?
Is there anything special about them? are they dipped or coated in anything?
I don't have embossing powder , can you use mica powder or fine glitter or maybe eyeshadow an heat it up for a permanent bond to a canvas?
That is a great idea. It might be possible. I'm not sure that it wouldn't wear off though. Maybe spray a seal or something over it?
