Great idea with eye shadows! I don't like to do a lot of make up so now I know what to do with my eye shadows :D haha but could you please tell me if did you test it on the fabrics? Do you know if the embossing stays on the fabic when washing ?

Appreciated this demo, love the technique. For me the sequins ruined the card. It detracts so much from the beauty of your handcrafted work.

Interesting how this video popped up in my feed! I know you need to throw out your makeup after a while. But it’s so hard sometimes, and just today when I was talking to my granddaughter we were discussing how we could recycle eye shadow and blush, etc, anything that isn’t wet and we came to the realization that we could use in in our art! We both thought that it was a brilliant idea and we are going to give it a try!

I made watercolor paint with my old eyeshadow using gum arabic binder. Works well

I did try to made watercolor from an old eyeshadow palette. I bought the gum Arabic and oxgall, but i don't think it gets really smooth. Or at least. Not right after the mixing. Are there more other ways then using glue??? It was meant to be paint in a pallet, and using it on the go. And only need to add water.

New subbie here. I am just about to go through and get rid of old eye shadows. This will be a perfect way to use them instead of tossing them. Great video!

They had a big deal in the 80" or 90 with these pens. Mine even has an eraser on it. Don't know if they have changed the ink or not. Mine still work although l have used them sparingly. I had bought quite a few of them

I’ve tried to use eye shadow to distress pages and most weren’t intense enough to make it worth my while. But I hadn’t thought of adding glue.Good thing I still have lots of leftover eyeshadow, and blush, and other highlighters… Jan
