  • This bible study will present the scriptures showing why our Messiah was killed, and why he constantly rebuked the pharisees for going against his father's commandments.

Hi Mike, this is awesome stuff. I have a question; Do you believe that Yeshua was only talking about the 10 commandments when he referred to the law not being done away with? As you know there is a lot of laws that required levitical priests that do not exist anymore today. I am curious of where you land on this along with kosher laws. The reason I ask is because I am a Christian Jew and still somewhat struggle with this and when I prayed on it and asked the holy spirit to reveal to me what I should do; I feel god led me to the verse (Matthew 22:36-40) where he stated love the lord your god with all you heart soul and mind & love your neighbor as yourself and this fulfills all the laws of the prophets. Jewish people are very very strict when it comes to following the torah but cant fulfill all the laws of the torah. I believe Yeshua wanted us to follow Hashem's rules to the best of our abilities with the "intent" of loving him and that this is the fulfillment of the law; with keeping in mind that Yeshua being the final perfect sacrifice and leaving the holy spirit with us he got rid of the sacrificial system & gave us a new temple for the holy spirit to dwell in; our body. personally It's hard to love someone else when you don't love yourself and to love God above all else is a hard commandment / rule and I am trying my best but fall short quite a bit. I love what you got here this is great and I would love to here what you have to say on this. Also If you need any assistance with you channel or a discord let me know and I would love to help for free. My name is Ken. Beautiful job, god bless you.

Yeah I believe we are to be as obedient as we can, keeping the laws and the commandments is loving your neighbor as yourself, and loving God with all your heart. Yes some laws dont apply to every person, actually most of them dont. I believe we should not eat foods that the bible forbids in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14 and elsewhere, all of the counter arguments against these laws dont hold water when compared in context of scripture. The way I look at any bible study, if I have 99% of scripture pertaining to that topic pointing in one direction and 1 single scripture that twisted out of context points the other way im going to rule with the majority of the scriptures. All scriptures must be congruent, so if I were to take that one outlying scripture and try to twist the other 30-40 scriptures that are crystal clear about to topic to match the outlier thats where we get false doctrine, and believe me its everywhere in every church.

@@RRCMikeEdwards Thank you for your follow up I was looking forward to your response! So a couple of follow up questions what about what Yeshua said in Mark 7:18-19 what did Yeshua mean by this? I wrestle with this one because to me it seems he’s saying god cares more about what’s on someone’s heart then what he eats. Also in acts chapter 10 it “seems” like god is not holding gentiles to the kosher laws given to the Jewish people as gentiles were not even allowed into a Jews home back then; but what does that mean for the Jews? And also Paul said that the gentiles are grafted into the Jewish family but from the passage I just stated they are not bound by the same rules? Paul also goes more in depth in how we should not judge people on their dieting choices in Romans 14:14-17. So this is my understanding so far when I
      read this:
Jew and gentiles may choose to have different diets and it is not up to us for judging one another on our diets. It sounds like from what I have read kosher laws is based on our convictions and what’s on our hearts; that is what makes it sin. Basically if I eat pork with a guilty conscience it’s a sin. If I eat pork and believe god is allowing me to eat pork it’s not a sin. And I am only saying that this is specifically for kosher laws.
Personally I am convicted not to eat pork.
I would love to know your take on this. Thanks again brother!

Hey thanks for reaching out brother. I do believe that many of the laws we can no longer keep biblically and many that only apply to priests and to men or women specifically, I do believe that we must try to obey them to best of our ability. I have not seen anything in scripture that says we should not eat Kosher either, My family and I removed pork and other unclean animals not described as food from our diets. If you read all of the commandments in the Torah they are all about loving God or your neighbor thats why Yeshua said loving God and loving our neighbor is fulfilling the law. Many people think this made those laws null and void but if you look at them they teach us how to love God and our neighbor, As you know the rabbinical jews keep many other traditions over the law and thats what Yeshua was rebuking. This is also why Paul said the following: Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. The law is our school master because it shows us Messiah, and then because we have faith in him that he will bring salvation when he comes we walk as he walked. He walked in perfect obedience to the law, and our job is to do this as best we can. Actually his standard is that we keep it perfectly but he understands that we will fall along the way. Mat 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
See he has high standards for us, and he knows we cant live up to it so his blood covers us when we fail but this does not mean we can fail intentionally. Meaning we can't just ignore the laws so we don't have to keep them like most christians do.
I hope this helps answer some questions and im glad you enjoyed this bible study. May YHWH Bless you!!

@@TheLambPodcast Hey brother in Mark Yeshua is speaking specifically about the rabbinical practice or ritual hand washing, he is saying that not washing your hands in that was is not a sin or transgression. He was not speaking specifically about food although he was talking about ingesting bad things from unwashed hand that wont defile you meaning make you a sinner. But eating Pork would make you a sinner. Then in acts 10 Peter's dream only makes sense if you understand that YHWH would never break his own law, he cant or he would not be righteous. Even Peter knew this because he thought YHWH was showing him that unclean animals mixed with clean foods were good to eat and he said he would never do that. YHWH then clarifies by explaining the dream, he was showing clean and unclean animals together to show that now people believed to be unclean (Gentiles), if they accept Messiah they can now become clean. He was using a well know law of clean and unclean animals to show the contrast between believers and unbelievers, but once we accept Christ we are believers and we can be then considered clean. If he were doing away with the food laws he would have come out and said it plainly. All teachings in the New Testament must align with the Torah if not the bible says it is false prophecy. Deuteronomy 13. So knowing this we know just like Peter did that YWHW would never go against his own law.
