Often thought that a traction engine is the most "practical" steam engine to own. As you dont need to take it anywhere to run it like with a railway locomotive. You need some milk and bread? Spare an hour or so and go on the engine XD Though I daresay you would need someone to watch the engine for you, or go in the shop for you but.

KA I'm still a different kind of engineer- a "sanitary engineer" or plumber; can you get permission to do a "pop" from that t shirt? I'll commit to buying one XL and prepay! Although I'm much more of a petrolhead, your steam engines hold special fascination for me; many of the same metrics and principles apply when assembling auto engines and transmissions- you know it's almost like the same people worked in both developements!-

Do you have any advice on adjusting safety valves? Got the boiler to 60 psi and it hadn't blown off yet so I didn't go any further. Need to drop its opening pressure but unsure how.

I have just done something about safety valves, it's currently for my Patreon supporters only, but I should be public in a couple of Months . . . .
