    I used to work at USH in production. I visited the Jurassic Park set many times. The second to last time I visited it I walked around and admired the work that was put into the set as my contract was close to ending. I went back that same week and the whole building had collapsed in itself.
    In 2019 they tore it all down and cleaned up the entire section. Now it's a picnic area for employees to go and enjoy their lunches. It's a small lake and the push button waterfall runs in the background.

    Really love your videos!! So I've got at least one great movie set for you to explore in part 3! In Port Townsend, WA is Fort Worden where the movie An Officer and a Gentleman was filmed. Many of the sets are still there, maintained by the fort, as well as the room at The Tides Inn that featured prominently in the film. The Inn still has the room, now designated as the Officer and a Gentleman suite. Totally surprising to me, though, is that they filmed the decompression chamber scene in the basement of one of the barracks! And the set was just left standing and is still there. I found that the door to the basement when I was there was unlocked, so I was able to go in and take pictures. I can send them to you along with the pictures I took of other sets used for filming if you'd like. Just let me know!

    Jurassic Park set was astounding, considering how it was portrayed in the film. I liked it Jurassic Park 3, where they being chased in and out the cage tunnel..... it creeped me out. I think for many people that critisized it didn't live up to its predecessor, maybe they didn't see it in cinema? Those gruesome moment was well captured

    I love that Audible keeps coming out with occasional promotions for free trials... After signing up with the Yesterworld code, I think this might be my 3rd free trial 😂 and it's awesome that they allow you to keep the audiobooks after cancelling the trial too! FYI, if you guys have Amazon Prime, you'll get 2 free audiobooks when you sign up for the trial, as well as the 2 Audible originals! Definitely worth it, and I'm happy to help support this awesome channel any way I can 😁Such an interesting video as always! Visiting Hobbiton is actually something on my bucket list... hope I can make it there one day!

    I really liked the first abandoned sets video and the one on lost and found props. I honestly haven't found videos on these subjects as good as yours. You say there are loads of videos out there... but not of this quality.

    The Hey Dude sets are out near the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch. The pool in the show is actually the main pool. Kind of wild to realize that the show I liked so much as a kid was shot not far from where I lived!

    awesome video, I'm surprised though at how many people have mentioned finding the Tots TV puppets creepy, I loved them lol, I was around 10 when they first came out over here in the UK and I thought they were awesome, same with the show Rosie and Jim, interesting and relaxing, yet educational show for kids :)

    I always remember going on holiday to somewhere in Spain, possibly Crete where we visited an abandoned Wild West town as a Tour. It was used in films and such but I can't remember where it was exactly and what films as I was fairy young at the time.

    You gotta admire James Cameron’s ingenuity even if he can be an asshat. For example, in order to make it so the sun wouldn’t make what is supposed to be the bottom of the ocean too bright, he had the top of the water tank covered in a layer of marbles or something like that. I was wondering what happened to the nuclear reactor.

    • @JeffreyPiatt
      @JeffreyPiatt Před 4 lety

      It's part of one, tank 1 was the containment tank where the rods went to.produce steam. The cooling tower would be built above it.

    • @kenh3757

      They never built the reactor, and it was beads that covered the surface of the water, marbles don't float to well

    You could say Gone With The Wind sugarcoated the hell out of slavery, but you can't say it glorified it. I remember the slaves being freed in the movie, & the servants parting with the family on good terms, while one or two stayed behind because they felt like family.
    I did like the Hobbit movies, but I absolutely agree that it should have been much shorter & not had the shoehorned-in romance filler.
